The Lost Levels is a remake of the game released in Japan as Super Mario Bros 2 ( tasvideos.org/1882M ). It introduces a number of new obstacles into the standard Super Mario Bros. formula, including poisonous mushrooms, wind, reverse warp zones, and of course many tricky jumps. It's difficult enough that Nintendo of America decided to completely re-theme a different game and release that as Super Mario Bros. 2 ( tasvideos.org/1724M ) instead; The Lost Levels is the first time the Japanese sequel was released to the rest of the world.
This TAS uses Mario's brother Luigi. He jumps higher than Mario, but acts slower in many ways. However, the movie is in no way worse than the Mario version ( tasvideos.org/3456M ) - some new creative solutions have been found.
This is a warpless version. For a warped one see . - เกม
I love how often the movements are calculated so the sounds match the rhythm of the music.
the bowser fight sound sometimes sounds like a prelude to the fanfare
Luigi Wins By Doing Absolutely Everything
deep cut
Yahoooo
No, doing absolutely nothing
@@munozvilladamiguelangelhom5880doing absolutely everything
9:35 No walls will stop him, no barriers can contain him, no restraints will hold him.
What the f*ck!?
Daisy: come here please!
Luigi: I’m busy
Daisy: my parents aren’t home
Luigi:
ooh i'm about to diiiiiiiiive innnnnnn!
10:41 I wish luigi could have finished that little part of the song with all my heart! :(
🤣
He did finish the last hit by touching the flag pole tho
0:53
"Would you like an egg?"
"How about a spring roll?"
Luigi is invincible to fire bars! 🤯
Nope, it’s just firebar collision detection is hot garbage.
I love how Bowser is completely disregarded
Luigi ascends time and space because he did something for once.
As a result, he deletes Bowser from existence.
*Multiple times.*
So many new videos... This year might just be a great year yet. 😊
Get over to tasvideos.org, look at submissions, if they say “publication underway” then they are due for a encode to be on youtube
Once the fire flower is gotten, it's like I'm hearing Decino go 'Greetings everyone and welcome to my 100% playthrough of All-Stars The Lost Levels on Ultra-Violence with glitches enabled.'
Very nice profile picture.
*_”That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons, even death may die.”_*

This TAS guy is amazing.
"TAS" stands for "Tool-Assisted Speedrun", so it's not a person.
The title and the descriptions mentions who is the author of this TAS
@@emanuelaparicio2756 um, it's a joke...
@@KabalFromMK9 it's a bad one. Also, do you know him? Do you know he's joking? How can you tell?
@@emanuelaparicio2756 1. Almost everyone who knows about speedrunning knows what a TAS is. 2. The title and the description has the name of the author the TAS and 3. It doesn't seem like he's joking since this is a video with not a lot of views so it gets less likes (joke/meme comments usually have a lot of likes). One more thing, whether how bad a joke is is subjective
@@emanuelaparicio2756 Whoosh.
Imagine being bowser..seeing that maniac coming at you
Luigi is faster than Sonic.
Faster than the flash
He’s fast but nah.
Luigi is my favorite character
Faster than Sonic and The Flash fusion
Faster than the speed of light
Some jump on the bgm beats pretty nice
Same for the fireballs
Hey its been a minute since we’ve gotten another Super Mario All-Stars TAS ⭐️
Very very entertaining run. Thanks!!!
I like the fireballs with the music thing you got goin on
I know it's TAS, but god dang, that is 100% how Luigi truly is when he had enough of Mario taking the spotlight! He is the best Mario Bro!
I wish I was this good. This is simply amazing.
This is TAS and not played in real-time
Luigi trying to catch up with Mario but misses him by a few seconds everytime
I love that the flagpole glitch still works in All Stars
Speed Luigi
Also Nice run well done
Luigi 😃
This game sound is simply satisfying.
it was amazing you played level and beat the bosses you are the best amazing player in the whole world
LOVE the way his fireball follow the music sometime hahahah
Nice job
Luigi will become the next puppet of TAS speed demon
This is how Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing: he's so good, even when he does nothing it still counts.
This is a fascinating TAS... 19:23
oh... LMAO
Super Mario Bros. 2: For Super Players
This is really freakin cool. 😃
Who is this TAS dude? He is so good at every game.
Ikr I heard he got like 25 minutes in super Mario 64! Like bruh he is god like.
damn bruh facts hes so good at speed running it's almost like he's inhuman
@@lightwhited47 he got a 4:20 run of Mario 64, what a god
Is it joke or... D:
@@blablablablabla504 yes it's a joke
Wow very good
1:49 the tas syncs the fireballs with the music. How absolutely cocky of it
Edit: I just realized it did this more than just once
I think almost every level starting from 1-3 has music syncing with fireballs.
31:33-32:18 a particularly explosive level
Score 1 335 350
This guy is insanely quick
When Luigi is sick of being Player 2.
Geez I remember playing this game on my computer when I was a kid
Amazingly
World 9 gives me anxiety. Its like something you would seenin mario maker
26:26 shelljump pog
When it's the Year of Luigi and you need to impress Nintendo players:
I like how Bowser turns into a fish (and other objects) when he dies from fire balls XD
What a skill..!
10:46 lol. Very nice.
Peotry in motion. Thanks for sharing!
wait, how did he break the wall at 9:36? is it normally breakable like this?
It's a glitch. I assume that those blocks are programmed to be breakable but you're never meant to break them.
They are considered as brick blocks
If you can get underneath them then yes. The developers must have been pretty confident nobody could.
The reason Luigi mostly does nothing:
This is only a fraction of his true power
1:38
Highest Luigi jump that I see in my life!
RECORD!!!
"Am I a joke to you?" -every firebar in this game
32:01 bowser: I’m tired of this, I’m just gonna be a thing a throw hammers
i will never understand why they did the bloopers like that when they were retexturing. in no other game are the bloopers pink
I think they’re still meant to be white, just shaded weirdly.
Odd that the Spring in A-3 didn't apper at 26:02 - wonder what caused that?
There’s a limit to how many things can be spawned at any given time, to prevent lag. If it would go over the limit, it doesn’t spawn.
When you hand the controller to your big brother:
when you pass the controller to your older brother!
i can't escape touhou anywhere i go
So many different flag pole glitches... does anyone know what these tricks with the fire flower are, or is it just shooting for fun? Examples for what I mean: the shot at the start of 3-4 at 7:02 or the many shots at 7:18
just for fun since it's a tas
@@dasmilekat5231 thank you. With these weird glitches I am not sure what is necessary and what not. After all for some glitches you have to place shells at an exact spot.
Where is the font used for the description of the TAS in the video? Is it available for download or was it only made for the video?
Can someone explain to me why Luigi doesnt get hit by the fire bars in certain castles? 👀
The firebar moves by big jumps every 8 frames or so, and that jump is big enough to let Luigi be in front of it on 1 frame and behind it on the next with good positioning.
from where to download japanese version of this game to TAS?
3:35 Hows that jump even possible
Wall jumps, they're possible to do even in real time and have saved myself occasionally. Basically, you hit a wall hard enough to go inside it and then jump off from the "ground" that is the wall.
tasvideos.org/GameResources/NES/SuperMarioBros.html#Walljump
What's the deal with the half-block at the end of A3?
35:16 - The dislikes came from Mario
Imagine a train...
I was immensely confused when I saw Flandre at the start
Why is Luigi a separate category? Does he have different perks from Mario?
He jumps higher but takes more distance to stop if you change direction
His jumping power is higher, he falls slightly slower, but he has a hard time stopping or turning around. He’s much more momentum oriented.
Can someone explain why he slowed down in 1-1 to hit the shell backwards?
For fun. It doesn't loose time in the end
In this game, the game only checks for level completion every 21 frames, so you won't actually lose time as long as you end the level before the check happens. In 1-1's case, I missed the previous check by 2 frames, so I have 19 frames to entertain with.
How does luigi just move straight through the fire bars?
Because hit detection is not good
@@animefan7424 I have since learned this, thank you anyway though
I wasn't expected a world record speedrunner like nobody can be able to beat and dodge all those enemies without losing no power up on a shortcuts challenge.
He cheat
He use TAS which is a program that you can tell what your character should be doing exactly by frame and pixel.
TAS takes alot of time to do when you must re-record over and over again except for that it is mostly using cheat tool to make the speedrun look super fun or show the best possible route or even finding new strategy.
@@Blueniter No cheat tools are used, the game is not modified in any way
Go Luigi 😍🤔🥰
These levels are insane. They canceled this game here in western for a reason. Thankfully they realized how difficult this game was and launched our SM2. Smart guys 😅
Why are there flying octopuses?
Because the Japanese wanted us Americans to get good
34:04 wait. that’s illegal.
new TAS poggers
Anyone else slightly disappointed there aren't 10, 11, 12 Toads at the end of worlds A, B, and C?
I think this is actually Fluigi.
He's so fast 😂
How is Luigi's body cut off in 5:54?
He's holding left and right at the same time
That's just a graphical glitch caused by pressing left and right at the same time while swimming.
TBH I COULDN’T EVEN DO THAT
0:12 World 1 start
How is he so fast 😂
how he did not get damage on 9-29?
Large firebar movement is not very smooth, you can completely bypass them with precise movement since the collision detection is not very good
34:46
That 3-1 flag grab... *shudder*
2:18
Is it possible for a human to play this good?
Definitely not. TAS = Tool Assisted Speed run
No, it's impossible. This is clearly cheating.
Game is Hardest
Around 32 that brick broke that shouldn't. Hmm
The brick is breakable. It always has been
Pov : le prestó la consola a mi padre 😃👌
15:26
20:39 how?
1. The firebar moves by big jumps every 8 frames or so, and that jump is big enough to let Luigi be in front of it on 1 frame and behind it on the next with good positioning.
2. Although it doesn't look like it, Luigi is actually ducking, it's just that the game doesn't have a texture for a ducking and swimming Luigi.
@@dasmilekat5231 is it possible to duck while you're swimming underwater?
@@SergeantRyan11 yes, theres no sprite for it so your hitbox is reduced to half
Speed run time
we are not talking about mario usa
remember hitboxes?
me neither.
9:27 luigi jumped in between the fire balls
The firebar moves by big jumps every 8 frames or so, and that jump is big enough to let Luigi be in front of it on 1 frame and behind it on the next with good positioning.
3:56 Luigi genocide route
言えるんはかなりやり込んどるな⤴️⤴️
Looks like he's gotten hit many times throughout the vid, but didn't die. Must be a god code or something else going on.
This video does not modify the original game's code in any way. What looks like invincibility is actually glitches within the original game.
Yeah. The game checks to see if Luigi is hit every other frame, so the TAS spams crouch on every frame that is checked, so when Luigi collides with an enemy, it's on the frame where damage isn't checked.
This is also a show of the first ever genocide run in mario
That must take many days and hours to master 🤣
It's a computer playing the game but yes it took many days and hours to program I'm sure
@@williamdrum9899 This is a TAS, which is a sequence of inputs made by a human using various tools such as savestates, frame advance, and RAM watch to beat a game (or some other goal) as fast and/or as entertaining as possible. Most TASes are not programatically generated. This TAS took 58k rerecords to make, and 1 rerecord is loading a previous savestate to redo a segment.
