Lets Talk Quality Control - Hosel Bores

When it comes to OEM quality control there are a lot of factors that can cause clubs to not preform at their peak. Today I discuss the importance of the hosel bore and its effect on performance.

Some sets will have variable hosel depths but its typically a sign of poor quality control.

What's the diameter of that mp18, I have some old mp14's and they are .355 and the hosel thickness is far more dense than that mp18

Inside diameter is .355" Taper. The outside diameter will be smaller on the new ones as these has refined the manufacturing and the thinner walls also for more mass distribution.

Which brand has the best quality control and which brand has the worse?

Every OEM does a great job in this day and age. Where you sometimes see poor QC is in custom builds but I would say that most often thats an input error with the order and less with the production facility. The systems in place with OEMS now are very good to help catch QC errors
