      The colored powder used in this video is paint pigment powders. I'm not sure which powder you're referring to.

    Looking to reset a jade statue back in it’s base. It was originally set with a cream colored material on a wooden stand. Any suggestions, for it is very heavy and my parents have had it since the sixties.

      For a non-permanent bond use "Museum Wax". For a permanent bond use a little bit of epoxy paste.

    I have a Hand Carved jade elephant that is about 50 yrs old and weighs about 16 pounds My grandparents brought him back from Mexico I believe. Today my cats knocked him over. His trunk broke off clean. Any suggestions where to take him to be repaired? He’s my most treasured possession after my mom passed away. Thank in advance

    congratulations! have a jade dragn 2 spikes arrived broken tips but here only instant eposxic available and very liquid. with what make it more not liquid?

    • @marsgitar
      @marsgitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could try mixing the epoxy and check it every few minutes. The epoxy will get thicker as it cures. At some point in time it may be just the right thickness for your use. Good luck.

      I wish I could help you. I'm not familiar with what's available in Australia. There are some UV activated epoxies you might look into.

    Hi Martin where do you get those pigments please ?

    • @marsgitar
      @marsgitar  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got mine when I bought out another restorers stock. Do an online search for "artist dry pigments". Don't get the cheap stuff. Any good quality artist pigments is what you want.

      I'd say yes. I've used HXTAL to repair jade items often.
