Hello I'm having some issues with my brearh of the wild. I was able to back up my saved data but my DLCs for some reason are not showing up. Its showing that they were never purchased.

@@LuxuriosLife12 did you buy the DLC on another account if yes then the DLC will always stay on that account you unfortunately will have to purchase it again you can always transfer the game saves but that’s it

My brother and I wanted to play Stardew Valley together and I was the only one who had a single player file and I really wanted to transfer my data to a Switch Lite and this made a huge difference in the complexity of this process!

Thanks for this, just bought a Lite for my husband thinking it’ll be easy-peasy to set up (and he could stop ‘borrowing’ mine). I was wrong! Now I know how my Mum feels when I try to explain how the telly works. Really appreciate your calm way of demonstrating things, I’m off now to transfer across all his Mario nonsense and hopefully we’ll be good to go! Same here I have switch and recently purchased switch lite. I have already beaten BOTW, DLC packs n all, now I’m playing master mode and thought I could have game saves on both consoles but I guess not 😩

I’m pretty sure Nintendo will probably make it easier to transfer and save data to an SD card to move to a new switch there is hope but who knows maybe until they release a new counsel. Or some developers can make software or hack or a mod to get those save data to move anywhere you want.

Thanks allot, man. I had no idea to do this. I own a Switch and a Switch Lite. I wanted to get a Mystery Gift from the Pokémon Sword saved file on the Lite, to my Pokémon Legends:Arceus saved file on the Switch. I didn't know how. But just by the 1st method you explained, it was done in a snap.

Thank you so much I needed to know how to transfer or copy our game saved data because I was playing Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu on my cousin's Nintendo Switch and I just found out that the cloud saving isn't compatible with Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu save data I don't want to start all over on Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu because I just earned a badge in the first Pokemon Gym you're a lifesaver bro for this tutorial how to transfer or copy our saved game data that isn't compatible with the Nintendo Online cloud save 😊🙂

My GF is getting a switch, but has save data (linked to her own Nintendo Account) on my switch. If I use this process, would she have to just link the profile on her new switch to her same Nintendo Account as the one on my switch? I hope this makes sense.

Ah, Animal Crossing is a special case and doesn't allow for the transfer of saves, currently. Apparently they're working on something to allow people to back-up their saves but I've no idea how it is going to be implemented.

Oh this is awesome! I wanna start a new island for animal crossing but don't wanna delete my island so it's best to transfer it to my switch lite
The last I checked, you can't do this with Animal Crossing. I think they are going to be sorting it out at some point but I have no idea when. It's one reason why I haven't bought the game.

No. Saved data is linked to the account that created it.
Joe Chip what about if you have all cartridges and u have both your accounts on two Nintendo switches and I play physical game and my friend plays my other switch with a different cartridge game will it pause him or is it only downloadable content

My original switch was having Sd card problems were it randomly would tell me my micro sd card was removed when it wasn’t.
I tried to fix it by ordering a new sd card reader and replacing it.
But replacing it made the hole situation worse. Now it wouldn’t detect it at all. And my switch was acting funky when I put the sd card in. For example, It wouldn’t turn off right. Once it made some terrifying noise. But if I take the sd card out and reboot my switch. It works fine.
I bought a new switch and watched this video to find out that I can get my splatoon 2 data back!!!
This helped so much because I finally dont have to be stressed out about losing everything.
Also, the cloud save thing is so dumb. I should be able to transfer any data to any console at any time.

Wow this is very similar to my problem. My sd card reader doesn’t work at all and I’m planning on either repairing it or getting a new switch. However I’m scared of losing all my Splatoon 2 and acnh data
Hey guys if you try this and it doesn’t “work” (which happened to me) try turn it off for a few minutes to complete itself. And then turn it on! Hope this helps guys! 🥰

I have the switch lite, and going to get the regular switch. I know that I can't use one memory card for two switches but can I just get another memory card for the switch and still transfer everything and use up the space in the new memory card after formating it??

Do you have to transfer your data for each game one by one or can I send it all together?
After you transfer data and insert an SDcard from the old console and you delete the data off it...will the transferred data stay or will it be gone?
Questions, does it have to be the same cartridge for both switch to be able to play with the data and does the transfer affect the save data of other profiles on the switch

Helpful tutorial, I think the reason they don't allow certain games to be saved on an sd is cause people can mod the save and it could be unfair for other players
That could be the case. I’m sure there are ways to deal with that, though.

I'm planning on returning my switch lite to target and then buying a new switch. I have Nintendo online but can I get all my game data and also my GAMES back from just logging in to my new switch after returning my lite???
Yes, just click redownload on the eshop after logging in again
What happens if you try to send the old n data to a new switch but the new switch says that that it is unable to receive the data then what do i do?

I might get a new switch for Christmas, if I transfer a save data to the new switch, will the age registered thing still transfer to the new switch? (The game I wanna transfer is a rated M game, but I can’t make any purchases in my switch lite since I put wrong age)

BIG Question when you send a single game’s data (Splatoon 2) does it only send the user’s data that your logged into or all of the data from all acounts

If you have another switch present, and you sign in with your Nintendo account, can you use that to transfer a save data to the other profile you have on the other switch? I was thinking of having two of the same saves hopefully on two different profiles on the same switch.
Unfortunately the save is linked to the account.

Should you transfer your user data first to the new switch? Or transfer the non-cloud supported game first? I know you must connect a nintendo account to the new switch in order to play your games, but will you lose access to be able to manually switch non-cloud games over? Or no?
You can basically transfer your saves whenever you like. Obviously that can be problematical if you’ve created a new save on a second but other than that, you should be fine.
Can I ask though after you transfer save data can you then move the game card or uninstall it from ur switch
Yes. Obviously, you won’t be able to play the game on that Switch without the game data being present but you could always reinstall the game or re-insert the cartridge at a later date if you wanted to.

Sorry if you went over it already... My girlfriend has just got her own nintendo switch lite and Animal Crossing; however all her hard work and saved data is on my switch. If I transfer everything of hers over to the new lite, will she be able to carry on from where she left off, on her own new switch? If anyone can help that will be great!

You need both Switches for this to work.
