      Do you have any feedback data on the new Bosch counter depth refrigerators? I have searched TH-cam and have followed some owners who have not reported favorability. Their key issues were door seal not very strong, alarms continue to go off and surprising ice maker issues. Of course this may not be a representative sample, but a few owners took the time to post a few videos. Any thoughts?

      Unfortunately it appears most counter depth fridge are 36 inches.
      Initially I had to replace a 30 inch one. Which they don’t make anymore. I was able to find only a single 33 inch Samsung that would fit in the space.

      Is the a problem with the internal water dispenser continually dripping? Any idea what causes this? The fridge is brand new and really love the fridge but will need to return it if we can’t stop the dripping.

    We bought a Bosch just a couple of months ago Feb 2021. I thought we would be disappointed by no ice and water in the door, but we don’t miss it at all! The ice is wonderful and we are already used to it. No sweat opening the door for a glass of water. This is the most organized easy fridge we have ever owned! WE LOVE everything about this fridge. We opted for the big crisper drawer and its great!

      @@lisakellett517 no, dripping at all. When the fridge was delivered one crew brought it in, another hooked up the water. We wanted someone doing it who knew exactly what they were doing. Our water dispenser was getting real real slow a couple weeks ago. So we change the water filter in the upper right of the fridge and it was instantly back to full speed! Perhaps you could try a new water filter or make sure it’s in good and tight. Good luck!

      @@francineclave2207 interesting. Who was the second crew? Someone you hired on your own? We purchased this fridge and love it! Really enjoy the water and ice being on the inside. But the water dispenser drips. Sent it back and the second one has a huge dent in it 🤨 but it also drips. So a third one is coming. Being two of them drip I’m thinking it’s something with the installation or the line but I have no idea how to have them do it differently. Would love to talk to your second crew for some tips. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

    We have had our Bosch counter depth fridge for a year now. Holidays, parties, big bowls of summer fruit, tons of fresh veggies in the center drawer, ice, ice, ice. GREAT ICE! In fact all our company compliments “I really like your ice” and even it’s fun to get ice, because it is so easy to scoop out of the handy ice drawer. Best fridge we have ever owned! Great lighting, good controls, easy to change the water filter. Quiet! This was an excellent purchase. I will be looking at Bosch first for future needs.

    I am in the process of a kitchen remodel. I did eventually make the decision to purchase this refrigerator. I chose the model with the recessed handles.I have never had a counter depth unit, realizing that I will be sacrificing internal capacity. I have seen independent reviews of this refrigerator mostly on TH-cam that have not been so inspiring. I suppose anyone can have problems with any brand. I did purchase from a reliable local appliance dealer. Also during my research, many people indicate BOSCH customer service is not that great. It’s unfortunate because it’s a major appliance brand.

    Very informative review. I learned so much more from this than my appliance salesman, ie: that you can push the bar on the water dispenser for large jugs of water vs just pushing the little button. Every refrigerator I have owned had issues with jamming ice makers or ice that just seem to fall out of the dispenser in the door on their own, as well as things freezing in the lower drawer of the refrigerator. We also have hard water here, and the ice/water dispenser on the door gets really nasty looking after a few years. This refrigerator design really seems to have resolved a lot of issues. I am just wondering how durable this is?

With the four door (B36CL80SNS), it appears that the entire drawer is controlled by one setting. If I designate that as the vegetable drawer, where would I put the meats? Found a guy online that had the same problem and he did a tutorial... Still wasn't that easy. I will add I will add a supplemental when when we get food in it and it starts cooling... How is it possible to keep both vegetables in one bin and fruits in the other when vegetables require a high humidity environment and fruits a humidity environment?

    • @DesignerAppliances
      @DesignerAppliances  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! All Bosch refrigerators in this lineup share the same benefits when it comes to the vegetable tray (aka vita fresh pro) regardless of the door configuration you choose. Both door designs provide humidity/temperature control and custom settings for the vita fresh drawer, which includes fish, veggies, drinks, etc. We see customers purchasing the 4 door design if they have kids and want to have an easy access drawer for drinks or snacks so they don't keep opening the entire fridge. Hope that helps!

      The fact that it’s not Korean. I will never again buy anything made by Samsung. This is the 3rd time Samsung has failed us. Our current refrigerator has been a nightmare. The ice maker was the first issue that was repaired twice. We have not had a working freezer for 3 months because the control board is on a never ending backorder. We are fortunate that the place we purchased it is willing to refund our money as a credit towards a new fridge. Paid over $1k for a Samsung dishwasher that ended up being replaced after multiple failures. My brother had the exact same experience as we did. Although we love the 4 door Samsung flex, it is sadly nothing more than expensive trash. Never again.

    • @romanticdonkey468
      @romanticdonkey468 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Tim Golden... Perhaps people like the design and features? Having duel compressors would be a good reason to buy this fridge. Bosch makes fantastic dishwashers. This might turn out to be a fantastic fridge. Most companies today sources with their parts or labor from foreign countries. Take a look at the auto industry. Many foreign auto makers have plants in the states, while Detroit heavily relies on Mexico. I feel most products today are low quality, regardless of where the parent company is from or the source of the labor. As China continues to expand into the 1st world in regard to their manufacturing, they are producing much higher quality products than the past. A prime example would be in mobile phones. They are soon to be the leader in the industry. I think the label of where something is made is becoming less of an issue as the stereotypes are disproven. Country loyalty is becoming increasingly difficult. Look what Anheuser-Busch. Anyone still think Budweiser is an American beer? All in all, I’d like to support my fellow neighbors, but sadly that isn’t always possible. Also remember that even if a company is based in your home country, the financials are usually spread globally. If you want to support your neighbor, then buy from small businesses, but realize the products they sell likely have some sort of global influence at some point down the line. I grew up buying American made, but what does that even mean anymore?

    Whats the middle drawer for? Can it be used as a freezer?

    • @DesignerAppliances
      @DesignerAppliances  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Good question Lambert Orejola - the middle drawer is a fresco compartment, meaning it can keep your food cool but not enough to freeze. It gives you the option to control temperatures and humidity with 5 presets. The most popular use is for fruits and vegetables (less wilting and browning - items stay fresher longer) but you can also store meats, fish, even drinks or snacks at the desired preset. If the middle drawer isn't necessary for your lifestyle however, Bosch makes other configurations without a middle drawer to give more space in the fridge and freezer compartments. Hope that helps!

    The interior water dispenser makes no sense to me especially when talking about food preservation. To keep the door open for how ever long it takes to fill what ever size container throws food preservation out the window. We are a family of 4 with busy schedules (yes, even in a pandemic). We would be filling bottles all day keeping doors open for way longer than needed. The fridge is also going to work extra hard just to come back up to temp. Not sold on that concept. Ill stick with the exterior water dispenser.
