Marco from Split Fire demonstrated this for me at the Bunyan show. I was beyond impressed! They have definitely found a spot in the market for this type of machine.

“One thing I would never be without is a lift table”. Ironically at Bunyan I ordered one with every option except the lift table. I got the small flip up table each side. My reasoning is this is intended to be a machine for small precise re-splits and maneuverable to drag over to a pile of short cut offs without breaking down the commercial splitter setup which already has a 500 lb log lift. I could also envision working out of a loader bucket.
Craig, the nice thing is Split-Fire offers most options ala carte. Everyone needs are different. You’ll have to let me know what you think of it as a resplitting machine once you get it. In my opinion there isn’t a machine out there that can beat the 1165V for resplitting. . Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

23:35 for the weight capacity if the cylinder is strong enough i figured you could make a bracket that could hold a couple hundred pounds of gym weights to keep it planted but still be able to remove them for transport
Tony, thanks for keeping us safe. It didn't cost them much to put those protectors on the table. Some cylinders are double action and some are single action. The lift will drop faster if the oil is warm or has more weight on the lift. There is no power down.

They are both amazing machines.
Both machines will split wood.
The key question you need to ask is what type of work do you do? Do you use your splitter 8hrs a day on ugly tree service wood. My suggestion would be the Axis. But if you’re a casual wood splitter or a small firewood business the Split-Fire would be a better choice.

Which is faster. ,,the axis or the 1165
@@thomasworatschka6860 The new Axis is rated at 3 seconds, the Split-Fire is 3.5. I challenge anyone to try to tell the difference. 👍TCT

@@TonysCoolTools call Tony when you two guys get together. You guys make the best videos! You guys are like the home improvement guys of the wood business.
Not a fan of the splitter head being skinnier than the hydraulic ram shaft, scratch that chrome over time will wear out the seals quickly
Glen thanks for your input, I’m no engineer so I guess only time will tell if what you say will happen.
Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍TCT
Hasn't happened in any one of our iterations of the 1165 or 1165V. You can rest assured the rod will not scratch enough to any degree where the seals could get damaged.
Two strange guys right there!
Yup you can’t get more stranger than those two weirdo’s👍TCT
