I am a Yoruba, I love Ojukwu, I had the opportunity of meeting him in Ibadan in 1988 at the birthday party of JupBakhout the CEO of Spectrum Publishers. I personally believe that Ojukwu was a special God given gift to Nigeria who was psychologically maimed by the creators of Nigeria, in order to suppress the growth of any black nation that may emerge from that community. He had a great vision, If Biafra had succeeded as a nation, Other nations like the Oodua Republic would have also emerged and all could had been in better development. Unfortunately the control of the destiny of the black race is handed to the terrorists, and very soon the whole world will know the truth. Rest In Peace Odumegewu Ojukwu, your legacy of truth shall continue to live forever.

Point of correction for the professor: The easterners mandated Ojukwu to declare the eastern region of Nigeria a sovereign independent nation, it was not the Igbos alone that sought the breakaway, contrary to most understandings of the events of that era. Therefore, to say that the Igbos mandated Ojukwu to secede from Nigeria is erroneous. It was the eastern consultative assembly that issued that mandate. This is important to understand to avoid creating the impression of exclusiveness of our brothers and sisters from other parts of the region. The Igbo is not Biafra nor Biafra is Igbo. Biafra includes the Ijaw, Ibibio, Kalabari, Efik, Ogoni, Ogoja and Igbo. This must be put in proper context if we must address the issue of Biafra in greater perspective. All in all, this was vintage Ojukwu at his historic best. May his soul rest in peace!!!

There was no time that the easterners were in wish of war. The war was declared for the purpose of defense because over one million easterners have already been slaughtered. So to defend themselves they briefly went into consultation to all the easterners and that includes all the now south-south and right-wing east and even some parts of the now Edo state. But all those things that happened in those days that led to the war has been happening. But where the easterners made a a mistake was that they don't always want war and that is why they were taken unaware. And the same issue is still happening today many aIgbos and other easterners are still opting from the struggle while the hausas are always ready for war as it is today. I wish they will learn. Even the south-south who majority of them are opting thinking that the hausas will spare them when it happens. The flushing of GEJ. Should teach them a lesson. The Yorubas has been the night mare of the easterners till today. And the hausas are still using them against themselves.

Who among present Nigerian leaders that can analyze the problems of this country now without tilting to either religion, regional or tribal scale. Now most northerners who was misled into believing the the Igbo was the problem from their leaders statement have now realized that they were deceived. The truth is straight and short, how I wish many Nigerians will listen impartially to this interview.

One day a country called BIAFRA will emerge. As long as the IGBOS are not accepted into this tribalistic nation called Nigeria, it's just a question of time freedom shall be birthed. If man doesn't bring it to a reality certainly God will because evil has no longevity moreso where justice is the rival and God is the God of the IGBOS

Nigerian government has not been bold enough to confronting this issue that has span through generations. However the cancellation of history studies and promotions of religious studies in schools, especially primary and secondary schools has done more harm and has given birth to bigotries and hate amongst the very young Nigerians.
Many Nigerians have no idea, or understanding on the perspectives surrounding these events. Those aware are rather clinched to knowledge based on indoctrination packed with sentimes and anger ...
The Nigerian government need to be bold enough and ready to talk about this and dealing with it clearly .
If we then agree to still remain as one Nigeria, then we must agree on how we need to be government which has to be void of religious and tribal sentiments .

Respectfully sir crude oil is in the Niger Delta part of Nigeria and they are not Igbos, though they have some Delta Igbos that speak Igbo or similar language to Igbo,I don't know if they now have crude oil in the five Eastern States.I love Igbos and i think the Igbos have also suffered alot of injustice in Nigeria, but let's respect the right of the Niger Delta people to answer their own language and not be called Igbo or their land called Igboland or Biafrans.Though I respect the right of Igbos to agitate for Biafra. But we Urbobos ,Ijaws,,isokos ,itsekiris are not Igbo and our land is not Igboland, every region is trying to work against the injustice they suffer.
