Great spell! It might be helpful to dilute the essential oils before dressing the candle. I use coconut or almond oil(I just pour several drops in my hand)and then add just a drop of whatever essential oil I am using. This is a much safer way to use essential oils, plus your essential oils will last longer!

Years ago a local witchy store used a metal nail like from your household tool kit to write on candles. It's brilliant & I've always had an easy, handy tool to use. Also, personal preference because especially cinnamon oil is so potent, I would definitely use a carrier oil or just drop it onto the candle if using straight essential oil. Cinnamon oil does not wash off the skin easily & it's very fiery as mentioned in the video.

You can also dilute your essential oils so they’re safer to use. I have a rollerball woth a spell in it. About half the ingredients I used were essential oils, and then I diluted it before funneling the mixture into the rollerball. It’s specifically to help me study and have success in school, so I use it to anoint myself before I begin a task and to anoint candles when I need a little extra help
Love the idea of driving the cloves into the candles. Reminds me of making orange pomanders with my mom at Christmastime. Gives me a warm, safe feeling. I would definitely use that in a protection candle. TFS.

I've been researching for quite a while now and I've just Started gathering items, tools, crystals etc. I've done lots of studying and research but there is one thing I am confused on, there was a video I seen once where a fellow which stated to "not forget to close off your corners when casting a circle" . I researched all over the Internet and could not find anything on "closing corners" can you enlighten me ? Or could she have possibly meant to call the quarters ?
So the quarters are probably referring to the four cardinal directions or the four elements. I'll list the direction and the element they are associated with. North - Earth South - Fire East - Air West - Water Some practitioners choose to open and close their circle using these 4 but I dont so I couldnt tell you much about how. I just know that it is done. Hope this helps!
This is something that depends on the practitioner. Mainly Wiccans practice the act of opening and closing the circle and calling the corners. I don't cast circles, or call the corners, but Harmony Nice has a video on that I believe!

Kassie Marie ...this is a path/journey that you may want to walk for many years. You heard one person mention one sentence and have gone on to find as much info as you can to ensure you’ve got the process correct. What I’d strongly suggest is that you follow your gut, trust your instinct and read some of Scott Cunningham’s books, or Lucy Cavendish. It’s just as much about intention as anything else and what works for one person will not work for the next. What I’m saying is, there’s no one correct way to walk this path so don’t get too wound up in the rights and wrongs - just concentrate more on intention and intuition. Blessings to you.
Love this simple yet effective herb + candle magick. 🖤 I have also found mirrors to be quite effective in spellwork, especially in reflecting back magick with ill intent. Honestly, I think in magick that doing whatever resonates with YOU is the most effective.
I've done one like this for years. I don't write the spells on the candle itself I write it on parchment and place it under the candle and use a much smaller candle as I've been taught as a 3rd gen witch. Its Very similar. I love your channel❤
Olivia, just a heads up, they're very strong essential oils. Usually as a rule of thumb it's only Tea Tree and Lavendar that are OK to use directly on the skin. I'd definitely recommend putting the drops of essential oil in a carrier like olive oil, mix it up, witchy style in a witchy vessel and then apply to the candle. I've done a course in Aromatherapy you see. Don't want you or anyone ending up with like dermatitis or something!? Take good care. 🙂🕉️💜🙏

I come back to this and have used this with black salt and Patchouli Oil. Scribe your intention into the flesh of your candle over and over and over in a clockwise manner from the tip to the base to “draw in” protection. Remember cleanse, cleanse, cleanse all your tools and space. Having this black candle on your altar IF it’s just for you, this matters so to ward off energies that are maligned and want to cause harm, they will stay away with a sigil or have an eye drawn on the candle.

I do something like this often on my altar just having one to keep lit when the Altar is “open” and I use the flame for my black candle to light all the other candles. I really do learn more from your videos than I do from any other TH-cam content producer. Thank you. I’m glad you said something about not letting the flame get too low because the herbs are flammable, this is so true. I’ve actually had a plate of herbs catch fire, this is the reason I don’t use altar cloths.

Tip for those that don't have a lot of time, and don't feel they need a larger candle to really work the magic (energies): Birthday candles can work fine. And they're less likely to make people ask unwanted questions.

Great spell. I personally find roses very protective as well (the thorns!) and I never had an issue with blowing out a candle versus snuffing it out (it all depends on the witch honestly). Mirrors in reflection/return to sender spells are amazing. I always tell people to use discernment when using omen reading with candle wax, the way the candles burn and the smoke because a lot of outside factors can influence that like AC and fans and even the wind. It also depends on the quality of your candle too. Not saying you can't or shouldn't just trying to bring awareness to that. I'm just giving my thoughts based on my experiences, nothing against you or this video lol
haven't seen another witch clap their hands ever besides you, i thought i was like maybe a few out of many, but glad some else is doing this and showing the learning process of how intentions work and the energy that goes into the work of the workings and that makes me wonder if you were taught by family or you just have a natural gift for magic or just the fact you've studied for a really long time like i. I too am the "witchy woman" in my neighborhood! I don't have a snuffer for my candles so when I have to put a spell candle out I lick my fore finger and thumb and say "Though you be out in the physical you still shine brightly in the astral" then I use my wet fingers and snuff it.
Something about the way you activate the herbs with your hands reminds me of Hoodoo! The way the spell has been set up reminds me of the way hoodoo spells are done !

I have a few antique crystal glasses, Bowls, creamer/sugar etc... fill it with sand. You can choose a larger vessel and note the size "mote" youve created. Also, container within container using water.

since i work with small amounts i make tiny paper packets write what kind of work i used it for and tape it in my grimoire

Scribe your intention into the flesh of your candle over and over and over in a clockwise manner from the tip to the base to “draw in” protection. Remember cleanse, cleanse, cleanse all your tools and space. Having this black candle on your altar IF it’s just for you, this matters so to ward off energies that are maligned and want to cause harm, they will stay away with a sigil or have an eye drawn on the candle.

I do something like this often on my altar just having one to keep lit when the Altar is “open” and I use the flame for my black candle to light all the other candles. I really do learn more from your videos than I do from any other TH-cam content producer. Thank you. I’m glad you said something about not letting the flame get too low because the herbs are flammable, this is so true. I’ve actually had a plate of herbs catch fire, this is the reason I don’t use altar cloths.

Tip for those that don't have a lot of time, and don't feel they need a larger candle to really work the magic (energies): Birthday candles can work fine. And they're less likely to make people ask unwanted questions.

Great spell. I personally find roses very protective as well (the thorns!) and I never had an issue with blowing out a candle versus snuffing it out (it all depends on the witch honestly). Mirrors in reflection/return to sender spells are amazing. I always tell people to use discernment when using omen reading with candle wax, the way the candles burn and the smoke because a lot of outside factors can influence that like AC and fans and even the wind. It also depends on the quality of your candle too. Not saying you can't or shouldn't just trying to bring awareness to that. I'm just giving my thoughts based on my experiences, nothing against you or this video lol
haven't seen another witch clap their hands ever besides you, i thought i was like maybe a few out of many, but glad some else is doing this and showing the learning process of how intentions work and the energy that goes into the work of the workings and that makes me wonder if you were taught by family or you just have a natural gift for magic or just the fact you've studied for a really long time like i. But right now the way the moon is i like to do banishing and doing shieldings during this time cause we only have a few days until the light of the new moon will actually be seen, which is the first quarter and on i believe the 23rd. I too am the "witchy woman" in my neighborhood! I don't have a snuffer for my candles so when I have to put a spell candle out I lick my fore finger and thumb and say "Though you be out in the physical you still shine brightly in the astral" then I use my wet fingers and snuff it.
Something about the way you activate the herbs with your hands reminds me of Hoodoo! The way the spell has been set up reminds me of the way hoodoo spells are done !

I have a few antique crystal glasses, Bowls, creamer/sugar etc... fill it with sand. You can choose a larger vessel and note the size "mote" youve created. Also, container within container using water.
