- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's future has looked increasingly uncertain, as he faces growing criticism over Israel's war in Gaza. Now, a sticking point remains in the negotiations, which is whether a truce would be permanent or temporary. Hamas says a deal would need to end the fighting for good, but Netanyahu has vowed to attack Rafah even if a cease-fire is reached.
DW asks here whether both sides really want to reach a compromise as Hamas attacks a border crossing and Israel risks alienating Qatar, a mediator in the conflict, by banning their news network Al Jazeera from operating in Israel. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by the US, Germany, and other countries.

Israel wanted hostages back and a promise that Hamas would not kill Israeies again and Hamas has said they will do the same attacks that they did on Oct 7, that is not mentioned , Israel cannot allow that to happen,. Not being with Natanyahu does not mean i will not blame Has and the Palastinians for the massacre they commited on Oct 7

As an American, I am sickened by our country’s support of this war criminal and his government’s genocidal actions. Netanyahu is as bad as Hamas, and deserves a short trial and a cell in The Hague. I hope our government, at some point soon, wakes up to the fact that the current Israeli government is not a partner for peace. Weapons shipments need to stop, and a call for Netanyahu to step down needs to be made.
