- Today we set about answering the question "Which is better Yorkshire or Lancashire fish and chips”. Having been near Blackpool the past few weeks we know the quality of the Fish and chips there so it's time to jump into the cat and head to the East Coast.
Our guides to the best chippy are @TheLodgeGuys who know quite a bit about the subject. They take us into Bridlington to one of their favorite places to eat and then Mrs. TPB (a Yorkshire girl herself) gives us the final decision.
Next day we head into Barnoldswick for high tea at the Victoria Tea rooms with Maxine’s mum. never seen chips with a high tea before but hey what, this is Barnoldswick!

How Lovely to see Maxine's Mum, she looked lovely and a very sweet lady. The High Tea certainly had a lot of sweet & savoury treats. Hope you all enjoyed it.

I am semi-reliably informed that the best fish and chips are to be found in Scotland, cooked in "beef drippings". I think that's what she said -- best the universal translator could do 😳😉
Is there a recommended high tea in Orlando?
We have not found one. Apparently the Grand Floridian used to have one before Covid
Just as well I was eating lunch watching this video. Although would much rather have been over in the UK with either the fish and chips or the afternoon tea. Or probably both 😂😂😂. Of course being from Scotland I will say Scottish fish and chips are the best. Was stoked to see Scotch Egg on the afternoon tea plate.

Cream last… always cream last. We are proud of our Cornish Cream. The Devonshire people aren’t so proud of theirs so they stick it under the jam 😂

Leigh, never tried curry sauce with a touch of tomato sauce on my fish then popped on a roll. Will need to give this a bash.
Not sure I would try it, defiantly curry sauce but not sold on mixing it with ketchup
I don't think I fancy gravy or curry sauce with fish and chips but ketchup is OK, all your food looked delicious.
I have to say you keep fine company, with two of my favs.
Maxine's mum looks like a little sweetheart and she spoilt you both with that delicious high tea,I can't believe how much was leftover though, what a feed! 😊 xx

Rather interesting that Lancashire won the battle of the fish n chips. Another win for the red rose county. Like you I like curry sauce with my fish n chips, although it has to be Chinese curry and not fruity curry. Great vlog guys. Thanks for sharing

We actually grew up in Barnoldswick the town you see in today's vlog. We moved to the USA in 2005
omg fish sandwich with curry sauce and ketchup, never seen that combo before. Cream tea looked lush, but huge, and I'm from Cornwall so definitely Jam first!!

Our mate has just taken over the the Best of British pub on US27 in Davenport, there is a fish and chip shop next door, not been yet, so unsure if it is good or not, but maybe worth a try for you guys when you are back in Orlando
We reviewed the Fish and Chip shop about 3 months ago and it was not good, I have been told it’s shut down now. We went into the pub to eat them and that looked very nice , give our best to you mate , hope he makes a success of it. Check out the Posner Park Vlog we made its on there.

Best fish and chips….Wetherby Whaler. I once consumed a full bottle of HP sauce with my meal there. Ahh those were the days.

Do you find it difficult to live abroad whilst elderly parents live in the UK? We are in the Middle East and this is an issue.
