I’ve watched two of your Battle Reports. In the first one, there was a tournament game where a Death Korps Marshall managed to kill Angoran (albeit after a Titan exploded in his face) and in this game a Death Korps Marshall managed to defeat Castellan Crowe in single combat. WTF are Kriegers made of that they can face off against a Demon Primarch and one of the most famous Grey Knights and WIN?!
psychic keyword does nothing but nerf the GKs currently. a lot of factions can have anti-psyker 3+ and 4+ but there are literally no buffs for having psychic weapons. Krieg can run like 3 psykers for their main damaging units so they have quite the nice buff against GK. It truly makes no sense, but has GW been makin any recently?
Hey mordian. Im about to add artillery to my guard force. Thinking about two artillery tanks, would you recommend the basilisk or manticore, or perhaps one of each? Cheers!
He has recommended the basilisk over the manticore due to the Earthshaker effect. He has stated that the movement restriction would nearly be worth it alone. Manticore has more killing power but the utility of being able to restrict movement of dangerous hostiles is a massive bonus. If you have enough of that utility, some storm eagle rockets might be better, but I'm certain mordian would suggest at minimum one basilisk
@@CtrlAltRetreatas a relatively new guard player I welcome you conscript. More to the point I personally would say basilisk for the utility but if you want damage go for manticore. Good shooting!
This Battle Report is by leaps and bounds sooo much better than your "live stream Battle Report of taking a Warhound Titan to a Tournament." Maybe try using more photos in your live stream battle reports and create a dynamic experience for your followers. (Kinda the way you do for your regular reports such as this one 😊
At 1:29:00 I'm pretty sure the DKOK Marshall wouldn't be getting the 5+ FNP as he was no longer leading a unit at that point and the ability is a 'whilst leading a unit...' type ability.
I was listening while driving but sounded like there were to many special weapons in the krieg blobs they can only take 5 and thats if you take plasma over vox. So couldnt have two grenade, two meltas, and 3 plasmas
You can take 6 special weapons with them if you don't take vox castes. Also one of the 4 Krieg blobs had a command squad attached, which had a vox and a plasma weapon as well.

Why ? Rules as written, there’s no need to use the stratagem before activating the Marshal ability, so as long as he don’t use the stratagem a third time, he can use the ability 2 times to get 2 free Insane Bravery. Is there a FAQ or commentary that disagrees?
REINFORCEMENTS RULE: Simon has a legitimate point that it is too powerful. Certain rules like that seem like a CCG. Ordinarily, in a real battle when reinforcements show up, they do appear along the supply lines (deployment zone). But sometimes, when a rout is happening, they can appear from any direction. So my thought is that the rule be modified. Units reinforced in this manner must deploy 24" away from enemy units instead of 9".
In isolation that's reasonable and fluffy. In practice, Guard is already weak and this would ruin their ability to compete on points, and probably tank their win rate into the gutter. You'd have to make it cost like 1 CP for 10-man squads and single unit sentinels.
@@justinmsc5 Yeah, you have to look at it from the gaming side as well. Other factions have some very fanciful abilities that would never get called into question.

Let him remember and use it when he wants. It was super distasteful to hear him egg Simon to use it and then switch targets. Like I get it you don't want to shoot into quick silver but...
