Love your videos, enjoyed the cameras moving around inside the wheel house, i think my favorite is straight back it shows how much your hands are really maneuvering
Thanks for the video captain. Always interesting, would be nice to know your speed, sometimes. Like when pilot boarding ship, and like a video som weeks ago, also at the string behind, an you showed some muscle... If you find time for it, let us know your speed. I find it very interesting 🙂 But for me now, this is the most interesting channel at TH-cam. Well done captain 👏👏👏
Relatively new sub here. I have very little knowledge of boating and was wondering if you would ever do a post video commentary about what was happening in detail while you are working? I understand push boat here to make it go a particular way but maybe some of the hazards or other details. Appreciate the content regardless and watching you make it seem super easy.
Is it just me....or does the engines sound a little rough this time? Could the change in weather do that? That's awesome that that Moran Tugboat painted their stack pink, haha. Airport must be super busy that day, hearing a lot of planes. ✈️
Great video. Just wondering - what is the hardest or most critical part of all that ship handling? You came along side to drop the pilot and greased it. It looked so effortless to approach, swing a 180, match the CSM speed and slide into place. But approaching from directly astern, it seemed more difficult and kind of dangerous. But in my mind, all of that mass moving sideways toward a dock and trying to not slam it into dock has to take serious thought and precision.
They are all pretty hard maneuvers but once you get doing it a lot, it’s not that way. Just have to be very careful and keep your head on a swivel. Thanks for watching my friend 🫡 Happy Monday!
They probably just do port work. No grain elevators or plants around to take or fill bulk or tankers. Just cargo port facilities. Could also be their company contracts
I think I heard you don't have to go to a military-style like school like in piney point Maryland and if I'm not mistaken some companies will let you stay as long as you want on some of these container ships are tugboats am I close to being right on any of this sir
You do not have to go a maritime College but we work more of a schedule. Now on some of the ships you can work as long as you want. Thanks for watching 🫡
Awesome Video. I hit you up on instagram idk if you got my message or not. What’s a dude got to do to get on and assist tug on deck. I got my mmc with a 200tn?
Hey now! Sorry I don’t check insta all that often. I would just check McAllister Towing web page and fill out an application. They always looking. Good luck bro 🫡

I will definitely do that for you. On my way back to the boat now. Thanks for watching 🫡
@ AWESOME! This is such an interesting and important profession and I’m super excited to get a closer look from a pro! Thanks Tug Boat Willy!
What is it like during winter months 😮
It’s a little chilly and a little ruff. Hopefully I’ll get some good footage. Thanks for watching 🫡
Love how smooth you are with the boat. Something I strive to do! Do you ever worry about getting into rudder of ships you are tailing?
Hey now! Much appreciated! I won’t go back there if it looks close. Thanks for watching 🫡

Hey Capt... Are those Azi pod props mechanically connected to the engines? Or are they electric motors powered by generators?
Electric. Thanks so much for watching 🫡
When you’re on the back of the boat tied up, are you slowing it down?
It all depends on what the pilot wants us to do. Sometimes they just want the weight back there. Thanks for watching 🫡
@ 🙏🏼🙏🏼 be safe boss
Always container boats never tankers or bulk carriers ? is there a reason for that ?
They probably just do port work. No grain elevators or plants around to take or fill bulk or tankers. Just cargo port facilities. Could also be their company contracts
Hey now! We do have a few bulkers that come in but not very many. Mostly salt and scrap. I’ll try and get one of those. Thanks for watching 🫡

@tugboatwilly843 you bet my friend you would be the happy kind of guy I'd like to work with heh
At around 20:00, that looks like the Left Coast Lifter crane/Barge
Hey now! This is NYC. Thanks for watching 🫡
Hey now Captain! guess YT erased my earlier 0600 or so comment as it had a link to the song " i got a line on you " oh well.
Hey now! Sorry that I didn’t get to see that Capt! Funny stuff though! Thanks for watching as always 🫡
hello, more interesting to the audience it would be nice to add two more cameras on the front and back, thank you
Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep that in mind for future videos! 🫡
Whats the V-Max on this?
7000 hp. I’m not sure what v-max is. Thanks for watching 🫡
Every Tug I ever saw was a trashed out piece of crap. Did you have this all refurbished for the videos?
We keep the boat as nice as possible all the time
Terrible audio. Needs close caption.
💯🫡
