Yes, thank you! I'm surprised more people haven't commented on the fact that this guy looks and sounds exactly like Bill Curtis. Seriously thought it was for several moments, had to check Wikipedia just to make sure this wasn't something he did before finding fame. lol
Training videos? I'm in the same boat. I've lost count how many I've watched. KFC, McDonalds, generic supermarket videos, you name it I've probably seen it.
They think a child can't carry .73 and requires a bag to hold it? Sure some kids wore sweatpants, but that kid clearly had pockets. Also apparently my life isn't as good as I thought, since I am concerned about a child in 1986 receiving change in a bag.
The kid jumps around or he doesn't put it in all the way, some change falls out, then the parents think the cashier stiffed them. It's called covering their ass.
Woman at drive thru: “do you guys know bill Curtis and creepy black man are harassing people in the drive thru.” Employee: those 2 are our jay and silent bob. Don’t mind them.
If the change is too much for the child to handle, keep it for him. He will likely lose the money anyways and you can put that money to good use! Dolla, Dolla bills ya'll!
“Children are very important for Hardee’s. Many times _they_ decide where the family will eat. That’s important because we feed their lean, tender meat into our grinder out back. That’s the secret to our succulent hamburgers and-uh... I’ve said too much. Let me, uh, give you a couple of free coupons. They’re just out back.”
Yes, N.C. All Hardee's training vids were made in N.C. because that where they corporate headquarters were...until Carl's Jr. bought them out in the late 90's.
I worked at HARDEE'S during my college years in the mid 1990s. I was never shown any training videos. I wonder if by then they just eliminated them. It was part time and I all did was cook the fries n chicken 🐔 🍟 n wash dishes. Guess I didn't need to see training video. The uniforms were much better than whats in the video. Lol. Thanks for posting video.

Yeah. How would it be to work in one?
Feb 2023 and I've been binging on 80s/90s training videos. Dont know why they bring me such joy
I was very young in 1986 but I seem to recall cashiers in fast food joints giving the impression they wanted to shove your face into the deep fryer.
"Show concern without admitting fault"....'My 5 year old just choked to death on your hamburger'. "We're sorry you feel that way".
By far the most important takeaway from this video is "Try to show concern without admitting fault."
'Aaaargh! You scalded me with the drip filter jug...what gives?!'
'Oh dear...that must be uncomfortable for you. More coffee?'

The look on his face at 10:35 LOL

Write “change” on the bag - easier for muggers.
Don't make him feel like your treating him as a child. But I'm sure putting his change in a bag doesn't do that.
Those were different times.
Happy to have made it to the final training, 3/3!
