Filson used the to make a very fine trifold wallet with fine stitching and vertical pockets on each side. The wallet being reviewed looks cheap compared to the original. Like a lot of other companies-first they make it good then they make it cheap.
I'm not sure what the original wallet looks like but I think this wallet looks kinda cheap too, at least in the details and finishing department. It looks like it was made quickly and crudely to me. The cuts don't look very precise, the stitching seems wonky looking, they should have made a nice groove around the edges for the stitching to sit down in and also the edges don't look very well finished. Looks like they're just quickly sent through a mass production process. I'm not very impressed, pretty sure I could make a much better looking wallet myself.

Monica you can always find a good leather wallet on the Filson website, now it might not be exactly this one that I reviewed, because it was a couple years ago that I reviewed this, but they are using the same leather and it’ll be of the same quality. Take your time and read the description carefully as Filson presents it, and if it says English bridal leather, then you can rest assured it was sourced here in the United States and will be fine quality. Good luck! I’m sure your husband will appreciate whatever you gift him either way😄 You might have to wait until Filson brings in new stock! All I see as of right now is a beautiful bi-fold in brown they have in stock. I think he will love it!
I'm 35 and have had literally one wallet my entire life. My mom got it for me for my 13th birthday. Right on about leather though. Mine is just a top grain. The plastic cover for the ID broke out a year or two back but it still works fine otherwise. I was thinking of gluing a new one in and sending it.
bruceyyyyy you deserve this wallet or a popov wallet. I think I’m proud of you though whatever you do. I am very eclectic when it comes to my wallet. I guess I could say I’m a collector..
@@LesSummer I'm currently a student working on a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Before I worked in retail for close to a decade but my company went bankrupt. After looking at my options it seemed like the best call.

That’s abbreviated, I don’t say yo at the end of sentences, that is not my style. I think you could have a shot at success here on TH-cam. But school is good too if you apply it right..
I figure I could do better here on TH-cam but eh. I don't really care. I don't want to chase views or watch time or whatever that purple balloon says when you look at the analytics tab. It's just a slot machine letting you think you have a chance. I want to make weird videos about weird mufflers even if I know no one else cares but me. I even stopped asking for subscribers a couple years ago. After putting on a face for years I decided that I was over retail and probably got out at the right time. I did some research and it looked like STEM fields were the way to go so I went with it. Currently going to school full time and working odd jobs. Stays interesting although I miss the disposable income that came along with managing a million dollar store. At the end of the day: I don't want to be Pewdiepie. I want to be Elon Musk.

Some of the products I review in the future will be part of that plan. I’m not driven for great wealth, but I’d like to experience success according to me. A place of my own, a small income that I can Generate independently, and live quietly with just what I need and a few luxuries here and there to keep me happy.
