I have a iPhone case from Smartish; it holds 4 cards comfortable and 1-2 bills. I’ve used it for over three years and it doesn’t add much more thickness to the phone compared to a regular case. In almost every scenario it’s enough for my needs. It alleviates having to carry a separate wallet and frees up space in your pockets. Another benefit is I was forgetting my wallet at times but I always have my phone on me.
Glad it’s working well for you! I’ve been case free for so long but have debated going this route before. I’d be a bit worried about losing both my wallet and phone together if something bad happened but I can definitely understand the convenience. Thanks for sharing your setup!
Hi, Josh. Old video, new comment. I recently purchased the Wayfinder Flux based on your recommendation. Love the workmanship, how it fits in pocket and that it plays well with my other gear (doesn't scratch). It's a little smaller and tighter than I expected, but overall I love it. Going to use it for the next two months. If it carried like, four more cards or even two, it would probably be perfect. But really wowed by this company. Got a personal note from the founder with my order and they threw in a pocket notebook. (I love notebooks). Thanks. Next up is a budget watch. I think I have broken every watch I have ever owned since childhood, so I don't like to spend a ton.
So glad you’re enjoying the wallet! I’ve got to know the founder personally over the past few years since I first found the wallet since we’re both local to Portland - really great guy! Happy to hear you had a good experience. Budget watches are my specialty! I have a soft spot for my digital Casios, most are $20-40 and I get compliments on them all the time. Made a video right around this same time with a roundup if you’re browsing some options.
@@joshfenn Josh, thanks for the recommendation. I will watch your stuff on watches as your recommended. I am a subscriber and regular watcher. Great stuff.
My go to wallet is de SECRID Slimwallet. Proudly made in The Netherlands(EU), where i live. It’s an aluminium card protector which holds up to 6 cards. It works using a lever that fan’s al the cards out nicely. Its RFID blocking and comes in different styles. Using top quality leather and other products it looks great and feels top notch. You can even store some bills in it as well while keeping it realy low profile. In my opinion it is the most overlooked wallet in the EDC world. Make sure to check them out! Cheers, Bodhi
8:57 to each his own, but I’ve used a MagSafe wallet for 3 years and I’ve never lost the wallet. That being said you’re looking at 3-4 cards with maybe 2 bills, so it’s extremely minimal. Most of the time I find myself carrying a regular wallet as well
Good to know you haven’t had any issues! I’ve always steered away from MagSafe wallets because it seems like the shear force would make it fall off and it’d lose it
Hi, when you say made in America you imply that it could have been made in Mexico or Canada I think the correct term is "made in the USA" of everything else there were 10 out of 10 my favorite bag at the moment is The Franklin and another of The most I use is the MCW - Premium Horween Dublin.
Made in America has always been different than made in North America in my experience, but I suppose that could be confusing. I’ve always seen Canada and Mexico products as made in Canada or made in Mexico, never a Mexican or Canadian product that says made in America in my lifetime. I’ll have to check out those bags though, thanks for sharing!
When talking about wallets you really should be playing with it like inserting/removing cards/cash and stuff instead of just mentioning what it can hold...
I've really enjoyed using the Allett original wallet. It's a different take on minimal wallets, and has the lowest profile in-pocket in my experience. Plus, it can hold cash comfortably if needed.
What a great idea, to have an EDC channel. Your reviews are well done, and touch on a great niche. Personally, I've owned a Ridge for several years. Not cheap at about $80. But, it's made of metal, with an add-on money clip, and could very well last a lifetime. It can hold more than a dozen cards, and all the parts can be replaced should they wear out. It's been many years since I've carried the traditional old-school wallet, that men put in their back pocket. I carry my Ridge in a front pocket, and no one, 'cept me knows it's there. All the best to your continued success... I've subscribed.
Thank you for the kind words and support! I can understand the appeal of the hard wallets like Ridge, but have just personally never been a fan. Glad it’s working well for you though!
I had been using a cheap Fidelo for a while, decided to upgrade to a Rossm, hated it, went with Ekster, I loved it. It squeaked so I put some frog lube in there and that cleared it up nicely.
Just purchased a re:form wallet, been using an Apple wallet for about 6 months and I hate how I can only fit 3 cards and no cash. Hopefully this will be an amazing upgrade.
@@joshfenn been using mine for about a week and I love it, don’t even feel it in my pocket and no worries of it slipping out due to the material it’s made of.

Haha I definitely wouldn’t have as many as I do if it wasn’t for testing/reviewing for the channel. Watches on the other hand…I’ve built up a small collection of digital Casios and absolutely love it.
Black wallets on a black mat with a black background with the lights dim? Didn't finish watching for that reason. Cant see the product. Gave a thumbs up.
