Watching this reminds me of when I bought this beautifully well kept wallet that had to be around 77 years old at the time back in 2016 at an antique shop my uncle owned. I love anyhing vintage from clothes to cars to music so I was ecstatic when I found and purchased the wallet. When I was putting my stuff from my previous wallet to the new (old) wallet I stumbled across a paper folded many times in one of the compartments. It was a hidden compartment so it probably was missed when it was being cleaned out to be put up for sale. Inside was over 30,000 old french francs in huge notes, worthless as currency but a lovely find. Now 'vintage' purses are expensive. I just watched someone for 13 minutes making a leather wallet. 13 minutes well spent, seeing how things SHOULD be made. My Kmart “Leather” wallet, made from blended leather and polyester, glued but not stitched, faux leather wearing off showing the polyester substrate, shows exactly how it shouldn’t be done. If I could just find a hand made wallet like that, like my parent’s generations had and I had as a youth, I’d be honoured to carry it around. Beautifully made wallet, that will last decades.

(Ich hab den insta/TikTok : Ask_leatherworks und wir folgen uns gegenseitig 😅)
Ich schätze deine Arbeit sehr, und will dir Danke sagen. 👍
Handmade.
Made with love.
From a person (Master) to a person (Family).
Quality, with deep attention to detail.
This is what distinguishes us from machines, man creates and the machine churns out.
Now this Wallet (Art) will be with this person for the rest of his life.
Translated in Google so my knowledge of English is not enough to express my feelings from the video.
Translated from Russian.
Can't thank you enough!!
Wow. "Hahns Atelier: Putting the Art back in Artisan." Nicely done, sir.
I remember Rolf and had at least one myself. This style is exactly my Dad's favorite. Got lucky about 12 years ago and found a different brand (also now defunct) new at an outlet store. Doubt he'll need another.
I clapped my hands out loud at just how good this is, I love watching this, as a hands on guy myself, naturally this just resonates with me.
watching this is like watching k-drama love story. Would be perfect to have hear how your client reacted to the gift. its like a k-drama with an open ending.
This wallet is gorgeous! All my wallets have had exactly that same shape, how could they not find a similar one in 30 years lol
Exquisite workmanship. I love these types of wallets, simple yet they hold up over the years.
I wonder if there is a reaction video for the dad opening the gift. well done. great work
I just watched someone for 13 minutes making a leather wallet.
Video like this deserves alot of like and views, I love handwork. They juat amazing.
Turned edge in Spanish is often “ruedo”. Regional variations do exist, though.
Muchas gracias!
I know nothing about crafts but I enjoy watching your videos. You are truly an artist.
wow you are one of the best craftsmen in world . thank you for this inspire story
Love this story. Thank you a mil!
15 years ago i got a wallet just like that, still using it till today!
altough its time to get some little fixes on the sewing when i see this i feel i need to love my wallet a bit more and give it some TLC! awesome job and keep the skill alive its very relaxing to see
Love it Hahns, I'm so glad you decided to take this project on. You made a beautiful recreation of the wallet and will hopefully bring another 30 yrs of use for the new owner.
Always love your craftsmanship and you have never ceased to amaze with every video. Keep up the wonderful work my friend!!!👍👍❤❤❤
Thanks so much my friend!
Its all about the consistency in keeping the wall... good luck guys !!!
Thank you!
What a kind, skilled and generous man you are! I throughly enjoyed watching this, thanks for the upload.
It’s a very impressive project! You’re great as always
Thank you so much 😀
Meticulously handcrafted. Excellent job you got there! Bravo!!
I'm so confused at the text "Dan4 …" and you writing "Four Dan" - beautiful vid nicely done👏
There were probably some clarifying texts after but they wouldn’t make sense out of context
I wrote it in the subtitles, but a lot of people keep asking. Stamping is correct. Celine has four children have Dan in their name. So It's a kind of family joke. "Four Dan Love Dad" is her final decision.
I was looking for that comment before I write mine :), and it is answered
HAHNS ATELIER It makes so much more sense now.
You don’t know how much the stamp has been bothering me throughout the video.
@@HahnsAtelier oh so basically saying the four dans love their dad.
Hola soy nueva suscriptora. Bendiciones Mujer Preciosa
It's amazing seeing any master craftsman at work
That glue is so lovely. I could watch you apply it to things all day.
Its amazing how he valued his cleints and applied his masterpiece!!! 👏👏👏
This was an incredible show of craftsmanship and a beautiful finished product. That being said the design is perfectly standard and is by no means one-of-a-kind so it seems a little silly for him to keep the same wallet all this time because he couldn't find another like it
I learn every time I watch a video. Makes my products better.
Absolutely astonishing.
Watching this made me take a closer look at my own wallet. I had never noticed the fact that the back part folds over the front, or the crease marks in the pockets but God Damn if those little touches dont make it look better.
Thanks
Dear sir, you are a gifted personality and one of few in this world who are master in the category of craftsmanship , it is really a mesmerizing experience to watch you doing and completion of your task then a finished product . Extremely enjoyable and spellbound craftsmanship.
The question everyone is scared to ask:
*How can I buy this, Hahns?*
What a Heart-Warming Special Gift to somebody you never met !
Love it!!! Just a question, where can I get the lining and how is it called?
It's called jacquard here. Polyester
So nice of you to make this wallet for her. Blessed you.
Eu amei!
True Craftsmanship. So nice to see in this market produced world.🙏
If i would lose that wallet somewhere, i would be okay to get it back empty, well done 👍
Amazing wallet, story, and workmanship....! Great video....! Wow... A great wife....!
This is the kind of wife all men should strive for.
A woman that knows a true man enjoys his familiarity & tradition.
I well understand the desire for a wallet design that has worked well for years and is no longer available at all. Beautiful work.
