Even if you don't react to it, you owe it to yourself to watch the live performance of Freebird at the Oakland Coliseum - 1977. One of the most epic live performances ever recorded.
Left to right on the cover Leon Wilkeson bass, Billy Powell piano Ronnie Van Zant lead vocals, Gary Rossington (seated) guitar, Bob Burns drums, Allen Collins guitar, and Ed King guitar. Ed actually played bass when they recorded this album. Leon had left the band, but he came back for their 2nd album. Allen wrote that solo while still in high school. Most of the members of the band were from the Jacksonville Florida area. Legendary band with some serious talent. Check out Call Me The Breeze and Simple Man (studio versions) as welas Free Bird live 1977 from Oakland. 🔥 🔥 🔥 thsnks for the reaction. ✌️
Yeah, we noticed the tempo change. We've been noticing it for over 50 years now! P.S. There's more than one guitar going in the "solo." Did you notice Ed King's awesome bass line during the instrumental section? You should watch the video of them performing it live at the Oakland Coliseum.

There were two different guitarists playing that solo together...
