Attention passengers: We're going to die. Thank you for traveling with us today. We hope you have a pleasant horrific accident.
Game link: www.microsoft.c...
End theme by the incredible Dan Bull:
/ douglby
All other music is in game music. It makes me want to land the sodding plane.
Dan, don't be alarmed but when I saw this video 3 years ago, when I was just 11, it made me buy the game and now I am enrolled in flight school. So in short you have made me to be a pilot. P.s. Thanks :)
Please don't tell me you fly like Dan...
Wait, flight school at 14? I'm not 100% sure that's legal to have a minor flying an aircraft but okay... lol.
Either way if it is true, that's pretty cool.
Leggo / Prostatus5 You are not aloud to fly solo until you are 16, but and other than that it is up to your instructor to decide what age you can start..
Chris B lol
100% legal in the uk u can start to learn to fly with an instructor when ur 14yrs and take the easa ppl exam at 17. then a t 17 u will receive the shit brown pilots book that you get when you pass :)
Let's take off: takes off at the very end of the runway 100 knots above takeoff speed
Let's turn: tilts a 747 full of passengers at 60 degrees
Let's land: nose dives into a runway at full speed with no landing gear
IKR IT IS SO STRESSFUL WATCHING HIM FLY
its funny though!
haha yeah its one way to play FSX XD
+Drive Gaming actually its just " I said rotate"
***** Sure.
So much nostalgia. I'm 20 now and I used to watch these videos when I was 11. I miss these videos so much.
You and I both
Same I’m 20 as well lol
it hurts 🗿
Bruh I’m turning 21 in a few months 💀
Same
Stewardess: "The pilot just passed out, can someone fly this plane?"
N³: "Sure thing!"
And that's how everybody died.
+monsterfurby That's what a copilot is for.
Nobody Important True, though the co-pilot could try to find someone with aviation experience to assist in the cockpit anyhow (operating radio, some navigation - this has happened on occasion) just to keep the workload more manageable. In a pinch, they of course could operate the plane on their own, but especially in high-stress situations like landing approaches to a busy airport or in bad weather, just having a second pair of eyes on everything can make a hell of a difference.
That said, I was of course joking. A little suspension of disbelief for the sake of the joke, eh?
monsterfurby That was very interesting. I'm glad I decided to be a smartass today.
**several attempts later**
Nerdcubed: "Whoops i killed the touries"
And that’s how 9/11 happened
"We are doing good, we are doing good, we are doing ok." Looks at speed, sees that he's 340 knots on final approach
Raghav Vemuganti haha
It triggered me too
If you listen closely you can hear the wrights brothers turning in their graves
LOL
+jacob pipe i don't get it? please explain
+why on earth would anybody Orville and Wilbur Wright invented the airplane. If they were around today, they would be appalled at the factual inaccuracies in this video.
Sha Sta like what?
was it because of what nerd did?
"When I die, know that I died fashionably."

he did not explode because he had it on the easiest setting
+Joel Crasto no worry to me if we becomes a ploit i dont ride planes
hayden- roblox and more what is a ploit
"It's a nice small plane, Boeing 747." Quote of the day.
thetrainman407 'Small' and '747' shouldn't ever be put together.
If we're looking for small planes, check out the Antanov 225. Don't know how they made it so small
thetrainman407 "Flaps, flaps, flaps, flaps, flaps, flaps."
***** Don't cry kiddo, typos happen
The 747 is a old plane from 1969
this was 11 years ago, and now im a pilot. What a crazy shift its been in the last decade. Hope all is well for you Dan!
1:08 book rack for procedures and approach plates
1:15 180 knots. V1, rotate. (ie pull up here)
2:01 Overspeed warning. And seeing as at this point you are going 8/10 of the speed of sound below 10,000 feet, yes you are going too fast.
3:29 Yes, you have spoilers, flaps, throttling down. Also, you are going WAY too fast for flaps.
16:37 at this point, you'd be a smear on your seat. You are VERY over-G.
I can see it now... "welcome to nerd cubed airlines, sit back and enjoy the ride also, just an FYI, if you hear singing coming from the cockpit don't worry, that's just our pilot singing and playing with the throttle while we fly over a heavily populated city. Also, he will try to catch any jets withing three miles, even if that means being an idiot and flying straight up at it."
+Scott Johnson I imagine all the passengers just lying in their seats, and the flight attendant tripping and just falling to the back of the plane.
i can imagine the screams of the passengers
+hayden- roblox and more In X-Plane there are some planes where you can hear the passengers screaming and you can do announcements aswell so that's cool lmao.
MardenianGamer ok this is your capitan speaking we are going to crash *SCREAMING*
Scott Johnson Read the description.
*Air traffic control* Sir, he's flying madly... how long until we can try and connect with him to talk?
Not sure, but look at him, he's flying pretty well for someone with their systems down, I have high hopes with this pilot, I can only imagine what stress he is under."
*Dan* Ohhh, a flotation cushion, pull to remove... I want a floatation cushion, I just have a crappy cousin..."
That made my day.
I too, have a crappy cousin.
Dave Norton you misspelled cushion. You said cousin. XD
Dave Norton that part of the video literally when i started reading the last sentence
Just send f16s after him if he’s flying mad
The red lights mean that you are too low for an approach, and white lights mean you are too high. If there are two red lights and two white lights, that means that you are at the perfect angle for an approach.
The Interesting Dude
wat
Thx for explaining
Well, I've been always landing with all red lights until I learned abt how the PAPI lights work aft watching Air Crash Investigation abt Asiana 214.

Ugh I miss these days I enjoyed growing up with Dan he always made me smile
I dont know why but "A nice small plane, a boeing 747 there" killed me
Actually it was a cerebral hemorrhage
"Lets do it like this, this is much better."
"We're at 64x speed, alright."
"speedspeedspeedspeed-and we're takin' off!"
"Pleasant."
"AHH!!!"
"WHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELLWHATTHEHELL!?!?"
"WHAT????"
Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding
So this is what happened to malaysia airlines flight 370.
Ha Ha Lol xD
Racecarlock you just made my day
***** Look at all the fucks I give.
***** I'm not mad, I just don't care.
Anthony Allen Woah buddy, cool your jets.
Little did he know that 7 year later he would be playing the next version of this, just with a lot more swearing.
"i'm only going 400 ffsfssnnsfs an hour!" - dan 2013
+Emirates Souvenir Collector ikr
+Emirates Souvenir Collector Yeah 1.151×400 mph.
+Emirates Souvenir Collector well it's nautical miles per hour abbreviated to kts and commonly said as knots.
400 knots = 960 km/h
and at one point he hit 570
he went supersonic in a freakin 747
29:44 "Whats that giant glowing orb"
Thats the sun Dan, Thats the sun
Hahahah
Ian Meyers it was to the side of London Heathrow and by “orb” he meant cube
Dan... you're not supposed to exceed 250 Knots below 10,000ft!!! And you're not supposed t.... oh forget it.
... Extend gear and flaps at 450 KIAS? Or better yet... never exceed VNE? Ah whatever.
this isn't dan tdm
+The Gaming Dice do you think dan is on -_-ly dan tdm?
FarisGamers no!!! ia msaying he is not here!
coz someone else called him dantdm!!
You also took off without permission from ATC and you... well, he's gone and crashed
Take a shot every time he gets his pilot's licence suspended.
NeedsMoreBoosters *alcohol poisoning*
I'd be ded
You'd be dead in 0.1 of a second.
He keeps flying above 250 kts below 10000ft
I'm not playing that dangerous of a game
10 years. Can’t believe it. Seems like yesterday
Why does he keep trying to land at like 300mph lol
It's not measured in mph it's in knots
Knots*
+The Cookie he was going like 600mph
Kenny McCormick That's even worse lol That's 345 mph
+will what do you mean? all plane speeds are measured in knots
Bingo Fuel means you must pay attention to remaining fuel because you only have enough to return to base. And that depends if you set it properly before flight. Otherwise it means you are in danger of running out of fuel very soon. Over G just means you are exerting more force on the human body than it can take without blacking out, by way of ascent, descent or turns.
No, bingo fuel is when the tiny dwarves making the plane "go" are playing Bingo and one of them gets a bingo, so he goes to make sure the plane is flowing normally.
That's a much better answer than the real one, to be honest.
Plot twist: at 9:04 the view in the corner is actually a facecam and Dan is a plane.
Lol
Aww yeah
M. Night Shamalan!
clicks link, laughs head off
Rebel Circled You mean *clicks link, laughs head off*
Dude, when you land a plane, you have to flare, which is pulling up the aircraft a little to avoid a hard landing. This is why you crash when you try to land XD
***** That's what I mentioned
***** Well I forgot to mention everything else
Flaring is when you cut the throttle to idle and then pull nose up.
nup, controlled stall m9
tbh he doesn't give the gear time to deploy when on final sooo telling him how to flare is like telling a 1yr old to speak english!
"Your mums a sink rate" classic Dan.

i remember watching this video on my laptop when i was like 11 waiting for my fsx disc to ship from amazon, and now im here, 18 and pre ordering the premium deluxe version of FS2020. How time really flies...
As someone with ~1300 hours in FSX, this is hilarious
TheRabbitFear get a life man

Im with u i have over 900 hours and i also find this hilarious
13:00 ""You can beep all you want, I don't give a shit"

04:08 "DU-DU-DU DU-DU-DU-DU-DUH DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DUH!"
I can already imagine a real pilot doing that on his regular day at work.
Dan: "Why are the lights red? Does that mean I can't land?"
Me: "White over White, you're high as a kite
Red over White, you're alright.
Red over Red, you're dead.
White over Red, dude you're dead."
There is no 'white over red'
And the more common way people learn it is-
Red over white, you'll be alright
White over white, and you'll soon be out of sight
Red over red, you'll soon conk your head.
I thought it was "white over white you'll fly all night"

Kirk Cooey ? I'm serious

I think what dan meant is if the blades fell off of the helcopter
Kirk Cooey He is serious.
You CAN land a helicopter with engines off - it's called autorotation landing...
I was 9 when this came out, didn’t know a thing about planes. Now 17 and started flight lessons. Already soloed and expected to check ride for my private pilot license in the next month or two….crazy
NOSTALGIA!!!
Yup
Daniel Zucak I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!!
*clears throat in humerus way* really?
Daniel Zucak d
Not really but I love the old dan
Not sure if that noise is Dan's computer or the plane's engines.
Cteklite it is him clicking random buttons
Cteklite engine
Is there a difference?
My computer is really loud, so it's fine for me
So much nostalgia. I watched this when I was 10 and now I just got my PPL.
I remember when this was uploaded, loved it at the time and love it now.

"Apparently there was an error, but I ignored it" basically me with all my grades.
You know I still watching nerdcubed just because he makes me laugh every day😂
I used to watch him play gta 4 Flight Simulator, damn years changed
Don't sink is a warning telling you your altitude and vertical speed is not appropriate
it isnt.
The GPWS callout sink rate is when the aircraft is approaching the ground faster than it should be in normal service. This is probably the most frequent alert because its just a matter of a few hundred feet persecond. If this is not corrected you may get the terrian and or pull up warning. The dont sink warning is mainly for after takeoff. If the GPWS senses from the RA that the aircraft is decending after the takeoff it will give an aural call out to warn the pilot.
Anyone here in lockdown???
This is such a nostalgic video for me
So much nostalgia ive been watching this when i was 4 and this hit so much.
I was 5 when this video was published in 2013, I'm 15 now it's quite nostalgic. I used to play these videos while playing poor quality android flight simulators
@@NicholasAfari-Mintah yeah same

Yeah... He'll never do that
But it'll be hilarious!
Funniest thing ever
³
I miss the Jane's Library of fighter/attack chopper simulators, landing on the deck of a pitching Carrier was the most fist clenching things I have ever done.
"I'm gonna play this properly"
"SHUT UP I'M NOT GOING PAST THE SPEED LIMIT"
THIS IS 7 YEARS OLD? i feel old
8 years old in a month
It took me 7 years to realize that on the final approach, Dan just turned off the crashing.
As a virtual pilot i LOL'd at this more than average
Gay
Tel me what word/letter from what i said is gay
hes just a imature troll mate
Scott King Tell me WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with being gay.
As a real pilot I laughed my tits off at this and found myself doing lots of unnatural head movements in the hope the aircraft would take my advise. It didn't.
10 years later, still gold.
27:34 "how do you sleep with giant Microsoft logos above your head?"
Completely fails to notice his dashboard is also Microsoft
This is what I loved Dan for, vids like these. PLEASE Dan, make it like the old times, make it the proper nerd cubed again
Couldn't agree more

+Joseph Sutton I did
Joseph Sutton i did.

If I ever hear the pilot's voice come on -- and it's you -- I'm gonna start sobbing uncontrollably.
i remember watching this with my sister as a little kid laughing my arse off without trying to wake my grandparents up and its probably the most I've ever laughed at a video i use to love the nerd3 videos and still do watching them back
‘Nice Small Plane’ chose a 747, the second largest plane behind the A380.
Also, this is FSX. Ignore warnings and apply Slew Mode.
Oh yeah, all realism has gone down the Shitter (quote from AirForceProud95 who is the main person to watch FSX videos IMO)
Dan just ate shit and sunk into the shitter whilst landing his 747
Welcome to FSX Steam Edition
3. 747
2. A380
1. Antonov 225
just wanted to correct you on that *SAUCEMAN*
anonymous user ok sauceboss, go straight to the blog site and BLOOOOOOOG ITTTTTT!!!!!!
@20:00 Some or most helicopters are equipped with "Auto Rotation" if the engine quits for any reason it kicks the blades into sort of a neutral gear allowing the blades to keep rotating, loosing RPMs very slowly. If you are not too high this gives you the ability to land or maybe worst case, a "Hard Landing". If you are too high for auto rotation, you are screwed. To correct you a helicopter is not just a "Safe" if the engines die. If you want, you can simulate this type of emergency. Fly the helicopter in Flight Sim. and get up to about 1,000 Ft. and switch the engines off either with the Generator switch or just cut the fuel. The helicopter blades should continue to rotate while you attempt to land. You just have to land before the blade RPM gets too low. Sorry to correct you... I still think you're the bee's knees Dan!
When the world stops making sense I try to go back to the time where it did.
The reason you can't land was because you were overspeeding for landing. The landing speed is supposed to be around 140 knots(the speed it knots not MPH) with flaps completely down and with the landing gear down early. Also, you get something called a speed brake. Thats a bit like an air brake. Thats the brake in the air. I fly X Plane 10 which is much better than FSX so I know that FSX has super unrealistic stopping time. If you can't even stop in time thanks to the awful FSX physics, you must be heavily over speeded. The reason it constantly says overspeed is because below 10000 feet, the speed limit is 250 knots.
nerd.
Nope sorry 747 stalls at 150 KIAS and can fly more than 350 KIAS (but I don't like to exceed that), you might have the stats for a CRJ, and you are right about the overspeeding he was going 500 knots on final lol
lol. Smart nerd.
PS the default realism setting is low so you can go through buildings and have extremely strong gear, it can be change to more realistic
Marney Gamer "lol" the logic helps people new to flight simulator. You dumb caveman.
the pilots are kerbals, that explain their vission.... and flight skills
"Your flaps have been damaged by excess speed".. possibly the funniest thing iv heard today.

Lol kinda fitting that this was posted on my 9th birthday, I'm 20 now and am currently in the middle of flight school. I remember watching this all those years ago. Love ya Dan!
hope schooling is going well! :D
The speed is measured in knots. 400 knots = 460m/h = 740km/h. And 500 knots = 575m/h = 926km/h. You're basically 621m/h or 1000km/h. Thats quite very very fast...
At least i know how to use a converter...
Janai Harris If you think that's nerdy then you're not going to get very far in life...

and take off with flaps set to 20 and rotate/pull up at 145 knots
Flaps 20? Should be 5 or 10 and the rotate speed is dependent on pax and weight...
nah. too much. maybe 5-15. Of you do too much, it'll slow down. you want to get most speed.
+Jiahong L He should've emptied his fuel tanks so only about 10% remained, and then taken off with flaps 5 and landed at 140 knots with flaps 30.
***** 30 degrees for landing, 10 for take off (or 20 if fully loaded or short runway).
***** This means you weren't trimmed up enough.

At 16:02 NerdCubed had a great chance of a successful landing, I'm sure that he was at the correct angle, then he jinked upwards to avoid the 'fence' which was probably a harmless barrier and, now much higher up, he just ditched the plane into the runway and died.
If he kept going and skimmed the top of the fence before landing he'd be okay, at least before he tried to stop the plane that is.
Who came here from Nerd's Flight Simulator 2020 video?
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I came here cus I remember watching this a long time ago
not me
I really like these old Nerd³ videos.
They're more like a genuinely funny dude playing some games, and less like an entertainer trying really, really hard to keep my attention and make me laugh nonstop.
Anyone else come back to this video just to watch it again?

Dan: I can’t do it with a Boeing yet, so I’m gonna use the F/A 18.

you say no boeing, so you go with the boeing f/a-18 hornet
What? That isn't a F-18 man.

+Morrison Van Nguyen umm Yeah that fighter jet was a F-18 lol
+Roman Bellic i didn't watch the whole video. Thought he said that the 747 is a f-18
8 years ag boys
2 feet above the runway "oh crap landing gear" I died😂😂
"I'm not gonna pull up" said the foolish pilot to the GPWS trying to save his life.
What a memory this video was
So here is a scenario.... if both pilots on board a 747 airline where both dead and we are 36000 feet in the air, and there is nobody with experience flying a plane except me with 2000 hours playing Flight Simulator X and thats my only experience, would I be able to successfully fly and land a plane with help from flight control?...do you think flight simulator would at least help?
Flying airplanes is often said to be easier than driving a car, generally speaking. I'd be surprised if most people with a decent intellect wouldn't be able to land an aircraft with good help from flight control.
Owen Bailey-Waltz Mythbusters made an episode about it! Check it out..
Alex Alegro Which season would that be? Sounds like I need to catch up to Adam & Jamie.
Its season 5 episode 25 - here it is! :) /watch?v=TUpgPgTkkLA... enjoy
