Thank you so much for this. I’ve had a problem recently with trespassers on a spot I rent. I didn’t want to shelve out too much money and this was the perfect fix. Almost done building this! I look forward to getting some sleep at night without worry.
Thank you for posting this; this is exactly what I was looking for. I got a dog and need to make a temporary fence for this winter before I build a nice one in the spring when I have more time and money. This will certainly hold up for a season or two and the design is cheap and easy!
The only difference I would suggest is adding a diagonal brace from the top of the hinge side to bottom right. Prevent future sagging which was my issue
And, his posts are dug only a few inches deep? He'll come back saying he needs to rework his posts and gate. 😉 Cute run, though. His fence heighth is much too low for my area, though. 😬😆😂 Love that this auto-played for me. Wonderful to see folks taking on country life growing their own food!!! ❤
@@Christine-777 he used t posts the "wood post" as you are calling it is not a post it is secured to the t post so he has a surface to hang the gate off of
How is the fence holding up? I am wondering about the stability of the gate with the post just being a 2x4 on a T Post. Did you end up doing something more stable or has the T Post 2x4 been holding up for you?
This video provided the perfect idea for creating a simple and inexpensive garden gate. The step-by-step approach was just what I needed. Thanks!
Perfect video for what I am looking for! By far the most affordable and best finish for a simple gate on T-posts!
Glad you like it!
wow this is exactly what I was looking for. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but couldn't think of how to do the gate posts. great idea!
I appreciate your time that you put into this fence and video.
So nice of you!
Super helpful. I love simple solutions that anyone can do and aren't overkill.

My wife and I love the simplistic approach and how easy and inexpensive it was! Thanks for the tips!

I absolutely can do it, you made it so simple to understand ty
Super easy gate!! Thank you for sharing. I'm going to try building the same one this fall.
We need to build a couple more ourselves over here. Glad it was inspiring.
This was a great video to help me visualize what I need. Might make a few adjustments to what you did. Thanks for the inspiration!

It's nice, but it's loose off the t-post
Thank you for this super helpful video! Do you have a video on how you made your chicken enclosure?
Thanks man very useful info 🫡
No problem 👍
This was SO helpful!!
Good Idea but your gate won't last without a slanted support beam going trough the middle... I think

Still holding up! It is not as straight but as long as you use the latch lock it will stand up straight
why did you bury the wood before fastening it to tpost
How has this held up for you? Is there anything you would do differently from the start?
It broke the next week, sagging and won't close anymore
@dragoniousmaximus7304 do you have a newer version?
you need a bigger hinge for a gate that size thats a lot of force
Chicken “what you doing?”
3:28 👍
Those are 2X4's?
Using a sawzall is a great way to make uneven cuts.
Thanks!
👍
I don't believe there is longevity in this gate.
Geezus please don’t use a sawzall to cut wood like that.
Wow, you really dont care about security do you😅
