Also, thank you Eric for keeping her videos for us. I am a Canadian that was planning to move to Tennessee before she passed, and I always had a secret hope of meeting Mel in person. I felt that she would have been the exact same in person as she was in all these amazing videos.
This popped up on my feed ... And at first I was so happy because 'Hey, new video' but then that realisation hits me and brings to tears .... again. Feel it right in the pit of my stomach. I miss you
Miss this beautiful face 🤍 I miss her tutorials so much..Mel was so genuine & I learned so much from her..this video just randomly popped up on my feed :( Hope her kids are well 🙏💔💟
Mel, one year ago today, my handsome 10 year old, German shepherd, Rolf passed away. He always loved sitting on the porch watching videos with me. I would ask him if he wanted to see if Mel had a video, he would jump up excited and I would grab my iPad and go out on the porch. The morning of his passing he suddenly could not get up. I got him on a quilt and pulled him outside on the porch and we started watching your videos until it was time to go to vet. He was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and was put down . It took me 4 months to sit on porch again and watch videos. Today I sit here very sad but thankful for 10 years with my sweet Rolf. Rolf to you in doggy heaven I pass on the Xenon palette.
Hi Mel! Would you do a 'edit my basekt' video? Where a subscriber sends you their list of products in their basket and you kick out those you think are bad or double each other etc? Also, what you think of inglot eyeshadow?
I bought this palette and it’s not the same as the single blackest black. The single is so much darker and lasts !! I noticed a difference right away when I used the palette. I do like the macro tech liner. I have a hard time with eyeliners smudging throughout the day and this one didn’t move. I didn’t buy the pot liners but I may get the black though. You created a beautiful look as always 😊. Great video !!
I have PML single black eyeshadow but it’s a little bet messy to use(for me🤪), but it is a black black. I use it with wet brushes sometimes to achieve more dramatic look.
I got the nude pot liner for my waterline and it’s amazing for that purpose. Does not budge and brightens up my waterline. Hopefully she comes out with a pencil later
HELLO FROM CANADA. YOU'RE THE BEST WHO HAS DONE A REVIEW, ON THIS PALETTE. I'VE WATCHED 2 OTHER TH-cam'S;,, TRYED, I REPEAT TRYED TO DO A REVIEW, BUT DID NO JUSTICE AT ALL. YOU'RE SO EDUCATIONAL AND JUST THE BEST. CAPITAL LETTERS DUE TO EYESIGHT, NOT YELLING. 🤗🤗🤗💜💜👍👍👍🤓🤓🤓🤓
Honestly Mel, you are such a talent and so beautiful inside and out. Your videos are a joy to watch. I am finding some other TH-camrs to be more concerned with noting their affiliations than caring about the product. You are so not that. Thank you.
Hey Mel Morgan Turner has the blackest black single and she compared it to this palettes blackest black and its not the same. The single blackest black is more creamy and deeper and more pigmented.
I absolutely adore Natasha's color story with her minis, she hits the nail in the head every single time, but I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that we get less than 1 gram of product per pan, an extremely drugstore looking packaging without even a mirror! I know we can argue that it's the Natasha quality at an "affordable" price, but the quality seems to be way different from the big palettes, and the packaging scream more "help" than luxury experience
I love the Safari. It fit my tastes and I was happy to get it at 50%, I’m glad everyone else hated it. Also, the color Spot in the Biba palette is my favorite of her black shadows.
Thank you for another inspiring video. I can’t wait for my palette to get here. I didn’t buy the liners but after seeing your video I may need to pick at least one or two of those up
Hi from México Mel!! I LOVE Natasha but i didnt get this palette cause i already have the cremated from Jeffree and i LOVE It... your look ITS AMAZING!! I'm gonna try It with my palette its BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
The mini palette seems like a companion pallet and I already have this story 100 times. Plus if the black is so temperamental I don't want to mess with it since I have some really nice ones already. But I LOVE your Early morning reviews 🤩
I’ve seen other reviews and they have compared it to the colourpop 9 pan in this same color scheme and everybody has liked the colourpop better, it’s less expensive and has 4 more shapes, I have it and will not waist my money….besides 3 of the shades are repeats from other palettes…..soooo no my colourpop is awesome!
I ended up picking up the Colourpop nine pan palette that has this color story after Morgan Turner compared them and the Colourpop out performed the ND.
I ordered the ND pallet but will be taking it back in the cardboard mailer since I already have the Smoke Show Colourpop ( named changed to Blowing smoke) and Have some cool mattes from Viseart and that shade in the ND blue/purple pallet. Morgan Turner’s review showed this pallet to be meh, so not worth it.
I didn’t see that video and will have to check it out, but this was definitely a really disappointing launch!! The cream liners are the only thing I’m interested in
I'm in awe of your technique. So pretty and unique. Do you plan how you are going to do your eyes, or do you just wing it? (No pun intended!). The look is incredible, to say the least. 💞💕😍
I was initially excited for this purely to get a mini version of Blackest Black but it is completely different to the single shadow which is CP formula (maybe that's where the typo came from?) I'm still picking it up as I adore Chromatic and the slight blue undertone to the greys. Also the liners!
I was searching last night to see if you reviewed this palette and here you are today. I bought this palette for the lightest shade and the shimmer to compliment my Biba palette. I’ll just use the black in that palette. This eye look is beautiful on you.
It looks gorgeous on you. I like the warm creamy shades in the palette and pot. Have heard similar feedback that the black shadow isn't intense enough and fades on the eye. I have the Smokers Lounge quad from The Lip Bar (TLB), which has black matte, deep grey shimmer, silver grey shimmer, and brown matte shadows. It's great!
I think your look turned out absolutely gorgeous! I totally know where you're coming from about her cool tones. I have the Glam palette, and I found it was much harder to blend. But her other pallets, especially the Biba pallet blend like a dream.❤❤
Same!! I actually returned Glam even though the colors are better for me than the more warm toned Biba. Something about the shadows in Glam I just did not like.
Hello I'm go glad I came upon your videos. You are a true talented artist. I have a couple questions. can you let me know what eye primer you use? I am in need for eye primer and can you do some looks using tarte Tartelette pallete? thank you
Not for beginners, but I still love it after play time. Yes, the stick liner requires, learning curve for sure. Chromatic is so versatile to play with, and delighted to see it in this palette! Another great Mel review💐
Thanks Mel for another great tutorial! This reminds of the Scott Barnes Mesmerize palette. I think I’ll just stick with that one for a smoky eye look. Love the tip regarding cool tones are dryer. 🤔. Thank you!!
Your final look is beyond stunning. LOVE it. I really appreciate the review, because I was considering this palette. I, too, have the ND purple blue palette, so I already have the best shade. I have greys and blacks I love in other palettes, so I don't need to spend the money on one shade I already have and 2 that need more work than I am willing to accept.
I’m really glad to know about the nude gel liner, cuz I wasn’t even considering it, I like my nude liners for my waterline to be in pencil form, BUT I will definitely get the black and brown pot gel liners
Hi Mel. Have you seen the new Natasha Denona Retro palette? How does it compare to the Too Faced Born this Way Nudes palette that is on sale on Wednesday at Ulta?
Pretty spectacular pallet colours….gives me 1984 vibes….I think I rocked a look similar to this……I’m sure quality has vastly improved…. Lol you do amazing work though…. I’m in awe of the blending…..I’m a lot older than you,so it’s fun to watch
Mel very very pretty look. But your looks are always pretty. I’m not going to get this palette. I decided to skip it. I been trying to use what I have. But sometimes there are palettes that I just can’t say no to. Thanks for sharing Mel. Hope you & your family are doing well. Till the next one. Love you.🥰😘
Love the look. My favorite color story. I have the original Blackest Black. Natasha, in my opinion, was the first artist to come out with a black shadow as a mainstay in her early collection. Now everyone has a black. Charlotte Tilbury, Wayne G, Pat McGrath, etc. I don't need to reach for my OG Blackest Black because most of the palettes have decent blacks in them. Basically I feel like I have all the colors already in existing palettes. I'm more interested in the pencils which look amazing on you! Gel liners look beautiful. But they all end up drying out for me before I can use them up. Thanks for the review. I do love almost everything Natasha.
@@melthompson2856 Thank you! I'll be picking up the PT one then! I know you liked the black but did you like the cream one of his also? Was it the same formula as the black?
Nothing against ND, but I have the Colourpop Smoke Show (before the name changed) and it can perform just as good, if not, better than this palette did. I love the look you did tho!! You're a TRUE beauty 🖤
I want those pencil liners so bad!! I feel like they will be a new favorite. They look so pigmented and creamy. And I’m so surprised you didn’t like the Safari palette 😳 It is my favorite ND palette along with the Biba!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Mel, thank you for the wonderful review as always! This palette makes me think of the smoky palette I have from Colourpop. How do these pencil liners compare to the Patrick Ta liners?
Mel what is your favorite and easiest to use pallet with similar shades? I love cool tone gets and silvers. This pallet is so pretty, but I’m not as good as you are!
That ND pallet out of all my mini pallets I have - lately that’s what I am using. Never did I think I would like it as much as I do. So glad I grabbed it.
Just so happy that I just clicked 1000th Like 👍 on this video, Mel. 🥰 Thank you so much for your tutorial & honest reviews. I got the palette and swatched it on my arm- (posted on my Instagram stories) - I couldn’t even swatch & build up that Blackest Black shade on me, tried multiple times, all failed. So I had to return it. I love smokey eyes so it was such a disappointment from ND. I had a high hope since I saw the leaked photo of mini Xenon last year..
Thank you Mel. I was hoping for this black shadow as well, but as soon as I heard that it’s not the same as her single blackest black eyeshadow I refused to buy this palette. Just ordered black eyeliner from this collection. I hope Natasha gonna come up with nude eyeliner as well. My best wishes 🙌🌹
This palette is beautiful and intriguing! I love the look that you created here! I feel like you could possibly make a similar look with the Enduring Love palette from Sydney Grace!! 💋🖤
Someone else said this already but I will back it up, Morgan Turner did a review a few days ago. She compared it to the colourpop palette and the colourpop had better pigment! She also had the single in the blackest black and that was much more pigmented and less patchy than the one in the palette. I thought it was so strange! PS I was interested in the nude for the water line but I think I will get the one I originally wanted from Patrick Ta since his black liner is amazing and they are all pencil. But no matter what, you look beautiful as always 😊💖

Patrick. They both don’t budge but the Patrick one is a little creamier and I prefer it in my waterline. I’d use ND more for the lid ❤️
