good morning lovie!!! you look so amazing with pink hair. i would loveee to have this palette in my life soooo much, but i need to save all of my money to pay for my prosthetic, because i’ve been in a wheelchair for two years and i want to walk again more than anything in this life. i do have a gofundme campaign for anyone that would like to know more about my health issues and would either like to donate (even the smallest amount would help) or share my story: www.gofundme.com/f/5mfmq-julissa?+share-sheet&rcid=ef5fa0badc594ff4a19766af32ec5806
So here we are a year later and it was on sale for Black Friday. Of course I bought it. Wishing you were here!! Still. Was happy to watch this video again. Miss you Mel!!🤟
Mel was always fearless with color, Her looks always worked. She is like an artistic painting great in a museum. That’s what she gave to eyeshadow and artistic blending. A brilliant artist gone too soon. 🦋🌼
I have this palette and I think it's beautiful. I love the color story and I can see subtle shifts in those shades. I think it's more sophisticated IMHO, which is HER style. I can wear these metallic chromes at work without feeling that I'm going to the club. But that's just my two cents on it. I think it's worth it. I'd also like to point out that those Indie multi chromes are NOT cheap, so I'm not sure where people are gathering the hate for the price of this palette.
Great color story but the multichromes are lackluster imo. Two of them are duochromes at best and color flip is just meh, Clionadh does it waaaay better.
I got this pallet during the Sephora sale and it is by far the most colorful pallet I have. Scared me to try but I have been grabbing it every day! It’s soft enough for us beginners! Thanks for the comparisons!
I am so excited to get this palette. Mine come Tuesday. I don't have shades like this in my collection. I loves all these shades in this palette and can't wait to play.
I received this yesterday, it’s gorgeous and I think your swatches are accurate to what I see in person. I’ve been waiting for your video for inspiration.
In my book, there's no comparison! You knocked it out of the park with Tiny Marvels! It's the best palette of 2020 in my humble opinion. Thank you so much for posting this, saved me some coin. You're the best!
I bought this pallet mostly for the mattes to go with my indie multichromes. The duochromes are not great, but they are more wearable, as well.. So, could have been better, but still glad I have it. Your eye looks are gorgeous. I love your pallet more, though!!, because it is a high quality stand alone pallet. Tiny Marvels!!!!
The music you use is so good!!! Thank you for not adding the “typical” TH-camr music. Even down to the volume you have it at, it’s just so good all around ☺️
I have used it twice so far and while I agree about a brighter lighten metallic option I just knew I would love to have all those matte shades in natasha denona formula and I don't mind using that with my looxi, clionahd, etc. I get if people want to just use one palette but those matte colors really excited me 😁
Loved it! ND does not dissapoint! There are many companies creating fabulous metallic multichromes. Although insanely beautiful, those are completely unacceptable for me. Natasha's pallette gives me just enough, to be interesting yet not vulgar. Loved all looks you created. Beautiful.
I low key want this more for the matte shades, I love the quantity of mattes and the colour story. I feel like the multichromes are underwhelming compared to indie. If I don't love EVERY shade, I can't justify the price. If the multichromes were Cliondah vibrant, I would have considered buying the palette.
When I first saw this palette, I was immediately drawn to the mattes, I knew the "chromes" were not vibrant enough, so buying this palette for these three shades is going to dissappoint you. But let me say that this is a very attractive colour story for me. This is the first time I can see myself use every single shade in the palette. And that doesn´t usually happen to me. I will buy this one day, I think there is no rush, even though this is a limited edition. But luckily this isn´t Pat McGrath so there are enough for everybody.
I love your way of rewiewing, so articulate yet concise and straight to the point! I’m personally OBSESSED with these matte shades, and I think that the multichromes are not that loud for a reason. I think she made them subtler to work more smoothly with those pastels, and in general to work evenly with the whole face-look at any time of the day. A more striking multichrome doesn’t allow easily to use many other colours around, and in general they’re not so easy to use during the day... they usually require like a “special night occasion”. But I totally agree about the size/price of the palette, this is the only thing that keeps me away from it and makes me waiting for sales!
I got it and love it. I do have multichromes from indie brands, like a lot of them from Cliondah and lethal and makeup maniacs. BUT I love this because I'm 34 with a toddler and an office type job. So I kinda need a tuned down version but still being able to play with colors and flips. I think this palette is perfect for people who can't or don't want to wear super bright and strong multichromes. Or who want the convenience of a palette with matching color stories for the duo chromes. Its not a bad palettes at all for what it is. If your expectations aren't high up for indie style multichromes then you'll be fine. Personally I have all my multi chrome singles in a z palette and I don't have any mattes in there so when I wear them I have to use at least 2 palettes. It's not that serious but this brings convenience and color and duochromes in for for people new to it or don't wanna commit to buying singles or multis. Personally, I really just have a huge love for ND, bordering on unhealthy lol so I buy whatever she puts out. So I'm biased. But just try it if this seems like something that sounds like you. The quality won't disappoint.
I bought it because I loved the color story so much. I really like it, but I still agree with you on your critiques. I’m someone who will pop out individual pans to create my own palette concoctions (I love that I can do that with ND palettes!) and I’m really excited to play with this palette in that way.
I picked up the palette and I honestly think it’s beautiful. I collect ND and I had 20% off, so there was no question there. I get why people are underwhelmed with the multichromes though. They’re not suuuper special. However, I do think they’re pretty and the color story of the entire palette is unique and gorgeous, so I’m happy I have it. The mattes blend like a dream and the multichromes are very pretty on the eye. I do think it’s worth picking up if you’re a collector and have the funds. Thanks for the review, Mel! The eye looks you did were stunning as always. 😄💕 I absolutely adore your Tiny Marvels palette also. I’m so happy I picked it up. It’s my first experience with Sydney Grace and I definitely will be buying more. That formula is amazing!
I think the Sydney Grace multichromes have a black background that set off the vibrancy. Clionadh had a range of multichromes that have black, gray, or no background if you don't want such a dramatic shift
I actually got this palette for the mattes and just because I felt like I could really get out of my comfort zone with the colour selection. But I definitely agree, the triochromes are a bit lack luster if you're looking for some amazing shifts.
This palette intrigued me. I’m new to Natasha Denona palettes. My first purchase from her was the Glam palette which I absolutely love!!! I like the green row the best! But I don’t usually wear greens so I’m not sure I’d get it for that reason alone. Lately though I’ve been into greens especially olive tones. I would have considered it more if it had been one of her $65 palettes.
Best swatches I’ve seen-it’s making me reconsider. It reminds me of a certain large pink palette that came out earlier this year (also has a lime green and a purple/blue shift color).
I got this palette Thursday and I love the colors but I found it does work better when I use a white eyeshadow base. It does make the colors pop just a little more. I use Gerard cosmetics eye base and I got good results using it.
Oh.. I never thought of putting yellow and purple together.. 🤔 I love it! 😍😍 I'm gonna improvise and maybe try ABH orange soda with some purple shimmer!
Thanks for nice video! I absolutely agree that this palette would be better smaller, for the reason you mentioned. I think that since I first saw it. I would like to try these shadows, but not for that price and size.
@Silvia Nes even if they are only duochromes, they are just too dull, to be impressive. There are much more interesting duochromes and multichromes from indie brands. And although being pricy, these are still cheaper than this.
I bought it - but only because the mattes are my perfect colour story and I love her formula. The chromes are a total fail. I’ll stick to my Clionadh/Terra Moons/JD Glow/Devinah for those.
I love this whole thread! I wholeheartedly agree. I'd add BeautyBarBaby and Shine By SD Cosmetics to that same list too. I also really like the idea of supporting indie businesses.
I agree with your review. I brought it and like it. I'll sometimes add some of my multi-chromes and shimmers when I wear it. The bottom row is my least favorite, I'll use the peachy shimmers in your Marvels palette with those shades.Great review!
Great review! This triochrome palette is the first ND palette that disappointed me when I saw it. From the first time I saw it I already knew I didn't want it. I did purchase two of her Chromium liquid eyeshadows and those are spectacular! I'd rather get the other 3 Chromium shades I don't have than purchase this palette. However, now I want to purchase all the multichrome/duochrome shades Sydney Grace has! My Tiny Marvels palette arrives this week (YAY!) and that'll be my first time trying Sydney Grace but everyone has told me to prepare to fall in love. I'm bracing for impact! And also preparing to buy all the shifty shades they've got!
Thank you Mel! I’m so so grateful you uploaded your review! It confirmed my thoughts and my experience. I received a lot of love when I reviewed the palette but also a lot of hate ... I like the mattes and I know the multichromes will meet the expectations of those who rather a more muted look, but I wanted to be as impressed as I was with her liquid Chromiun shadows. You did amazing as per usual and love your honesty! Have a blessed weekend 💕XOXO!! 💋
I honestly think that Natasha is putting out palettes for those who have a collection of her palettes to pull from others for those metallic and more depth. Surprisingly, I think the Safari palette goes well with this. Especially since it's on sale. Also, I want to get the Sydney Grace multi-chromes but they're always sold out. I'm just thankful I got enduring love and your palette!
Your video confirmed my suspicions that I would lack depth for my skin tone. It’s a pretty palette but I’ll pass. Maybe she’ll do a mini and I’ll consider that instead. Thanks for the review!
Great review and comparisons! It was really informative! Gonna look into the Linda Hallberg eyeshadows! Those look beautiful. Also, adore the pink hair!
So pretty in pink Mel🥰 Thank you for another amazing review, you are a great teacher and I use your tutorials constantly , I just tone it a little for work😆
Thank you for the excellent review of this palette, Mel! I have to agree that I’m underwhelmed with the triochromes. I didn’t even realize that everything else was mattes. Personally, I like metallics, so this is a drawback. I might’ve purchased this if it was $65, but I can’t justify paying $129 for it. I honestly like your palette much better!
Thanks so much for the honest and thorough review, Mel. I ordered the moment this palette launched but haven't received it yet. Honestly considering returning it without even opening it after watching reviews. It's painful for me, though, because I've collected every single one of Natasha's palettes and my OCD will be acting up if my collection is incomplete lol

ND had the opportunity to make this amazing.
Yep. Chromes are an epic fail. She should have consulted with the Indies who are killing it. 😝

Apparently, the “trio” in the names comes from the fact that there are 3 ...they are actually duo chromes.
I dont know. That middle row "duo-chrome" I dont even know if it passes as a duochrome.
On ND site they specifically call them multichromes: "Containing three different pressed pigmented multi-chrome eyeshadows in the center of each row"
