I appreciate you reviewing the palette on its quality rather than just saying "oh, it's repeats, don't get it." I don't have any ND shadows and just started building my collection during stay-home orders, so this could be a nice addition for me 😊
This seems like the go to palette for someone who doesn’t own any of Natasha Denona’s palettes. I think Zendo or Metropolis fit the bill, but Zendo is more affordable, has less shadows (redundant shades as well), and the shade range is not as bold.
I think she missed the mark by not releasing a MIdi Retro instead for summer. Could have been so unique for summer and also neutral enough for the less adventurous (me!) I also find it odd the Zendo claims it produces “natural looks.” I’m biased as I hate oranges/super warm tones and don’t use blues, but this palette is bright and colourful. Nothing subtle about it!
I have to agree. This is more fall. The retro for spring and summer would have been so nice
@@melthompson2856 Yes when I think of summer I think of brighter blues, teals, pinks, purples, corals and even some minty greens.
I have the palette and you can definitely do subtle looks is not as bold as you think it is

I am holding my breath for retro too. Not buying any palettes before that. Actually panning the mini retro like crazy, 2 shades almost gone, about to hit pan on 2 more. Got it last August. Only got the mini zendo after that in November and have not purchased any eyeshadows since! Feels so good to be actually using up what i have. So yeah, I know that midi retro would just get so much use!!!
I really love the Zendo palette and I'm not going to be put off by all the negativity around this palette. Honestly, the color story is beautiful! I'm a sucker for a warm palette with a bit of blue. Gets me every time.
I actually think these new shades combine well with the Bronze palette or Tropic or Metropolis. They don't look like exact dupes, but rather colors that will compliment the ones you have.
I think this looks like a combination of the ones you mentioned, it's beautiful regardless

You'll like this. The shades are brighter than the "dupes" in other palettes.

Do you have any Alter Ego palettes? I LOVE mine. Great dupes for the ND palettes and I love the formula.

I also really appreciate her explanation on how to work with ND creme-to-powder formula, so so glad ‘cause I really had no idea how to apply them in order to get a good result .

@@melthompson2856 Yeah, but BTR is almost past its expiration date now. So an updated palette with NDs formula and packaging will be a welcome addition to my kit.
I can’t wear UD anymore because of allergies. I bought this one and I love ND formulas.
Oh wow, you're right. But I hated the mattes in my born to run palette. The metallics/shimmers were great
Mel that last look is whoa incredible the way you ended and went from inner crease up blew it to moon I thought it was hot then you added that woowww! I love it!! You are a master makeup artist I dream to gather skills and become a fraction of your skills. I'm so sorry about your accident I'm thankful you and Puffin are ok. I only want the 6 shades on the right side... Too much red/orange for my taste, so I don't think I would get this. Love all the looks you did, though. I'm glad you guys are ok after the accident! How scary.
I read on nd insta that those 6 shades are repeats so you may have them or can get them

I love the green eye look. I have the Melt palettes, and I love the green color stories, but the shadows are hard to work with and take forever to blend. I've been looking for a replacement with the same color story for quite a while, and I think ND Zendo is it.

Mel...I have to say it...I created the most amazing dupe look for one of the marketing images for Zendo, using your Tiny Marvels...and it was spot on! (The coral inner-corner look) I use your Tiny Marvels with Sydney Grace all the time and find it to be so versatile and fun!
If you get singles from SG of something like the Minty Green, or that white/blue one, I think we would have the almost complete looks! I used a couple from the Chase Your Dreams palette too. LOVE SG and Tiny Marvels! 🥰🤗

Glad y'all are ok! If your airbag deployed, the stuff in there could be aggravating your throat. My husband and I were in a bad accident years ago, and I had that issue. Apparently they put talcum powder in there to reduce possibility of it catching fire, but I'm allergic to talc. Not sure what other things could be in there, but if it got into your lungs, could cause breathing issues. So glad y'all weren't seriously injured!

This looks like a good blend of colors/tones similar to those from other palettes that stood out to me but did not make it worth purchasing a $129.00 palette for a few colors. I do want those blues and greens. I like some of those tropic shades but not enough to buy the palette even at the deep discount. I don't mind reaching outside of a palette for other colors, thanks for a great review!

Glad you and puffin are okay... give yourself plenty of time to rest and recover though. Even just the tensing prior to impact in an accident can cause muscle soreness for days. 💞
Jen Phelps duped 11 of the 15 shades with metropolis. Alicia did a live dupe/comparison video too. I don't see the correlation to the mini either...I could see the mini used in conjunction with it though oddly. I can't use the C2P formula it sets my eyes on fire for some reason so with 3 shades already out for me I'll probably skip this one unless I see it heavily discounted down the track.

First of all, glad you're all ok!! I feel we need to protect you with foam or bubblewrap or something Mel lol. 😅 The Circo Loco didn't get as much time to shine and then came out, and to me anyway that colour story was more unique at least. I took one look at this Zendo palette and thought "oh more browns, pinks, and peach" she does soooo many of those types of shades specifically, that it's becoming rather redundant at this point. BUT thanks to Sephora France, I think people are going to be very interested in the Natasha Denona puff paint liquid blush serums coming out soon.

I absolutely love your application and ability to blend. I don’t know if it’s your skill, the brushes or shadow, but you make this look to easy and the way your eyeshadow looks every time you are done is so breath taking and I can’t seem to make my eyeshadow look like you do no matter how much I blend LOL. I’m glad you’re ok!!! I kinda see the correlation between the Mini Zendo and this one with the coral colors and the one purpley color. And the mini has the like silvery kind of color. So I kind of see it. But gosh dang I freaking love Natasha Denona!!! I’d love to see a video like this using her Glam palette. These are my favorite kind of videos!!

Mel-I’m sorry about your wreck and just how much bad luck you have had recently. I have a friend that has had horrible thing after horrible thing happen to her for a couple years now...and it’s just so hard to know what to say. You are loved and supported here and we won’t ever forget about you if you need to take time to rest and recover. Does TH-cam have a re-run option of old videos you could curate that we could watch while you rest? Lol

hi Mel your looking loverly today , your makeup looks stunning , i only have two five pan palettes and her biba palette , nice but i must say expensive for what you get , however i dont mind spending money if its worth the cost . but yes happy for what i have but i much prefer charlotte tilbury , for me anyway .
same with Pat mcgrath i can’t afford a mothership but i do have two quads and several lipsticks , i have a budget so i cannot afford any makeup passed the cost of chanel and charlotte tilbury , but i am very happy with my collection . just feel blessed you could have been seriously injured , its time to thank whoever was watching over you both .
