I am super excited for you to read a few cozy mysteries!!!!!! I think you will love Tamara and Korina's books. Both series are great. I've not read the other series...I need to check it out. 😊
Yay!! I’m so excited. I’m loving the Tamara Berry one so far! The grumpy/sunshine banter between Tess and the local sheriff-so cute and fun. Love the realistic relationship between Tess and her daughter too.
I love the titles of cozy mystery books. 😂 I’m soooo excited you joined not only OSA, but also the Silver Snakes! 🐍 I love that your mom still had a tote with some of your childhood favorites. 🎉 So many great sounding books. 📚 I want to eventually read The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. I’ve only read two books by Hendrix, My Best Friend’s Exorcism and We Sold Our Souls, and I enjoyed them both. Happy Reading, Laura! Go, Silver Snakes! 🐍
I’m so excited for Silver Snakes and Old School April!! 🎉 It’s gonna be a fun time. 💕🐍 Since I haven’t read any cozy mysteries before, the titles have always been my favorite thing about them. I started the first one for that vlog and I’m really enjoying it!! 🔍👌🏻💕
@@Laura_Reads I have two of the novels, but I haven’t read them, yet. I’m hoping to this summer. However, I loved the show back in the day and watched weekly. I will be revisiting episodes for Old School April. 🔍
Eeeeeek I'm so excited you're going to try some cozies! I loved Buried in a good book. I haven't read Cheddar off dead yet. Can't wait to hear what you think of it. I love that your mom kept your old school books from when you were a kid. The magic of lemon drop pie is so good! You have a great list of books for April! 🌸🌸
I haven’t heard of this food readathon but oh my goodness that is so up my alley. I’m so excited for Amor Towles’ newest!!! I’m 3/4 through Black Cake and loving it. It’s a harder read topic wise but really lovely.
I need to read A Gentleman in Moscow-I think that’s Amor Towles’s most popular novel, and I haven’t read it yet. Excited to try his new short story collection! I figured Black Cake was going to be a hard-hitting topic, so I think throwing it in there with a bunch of light-hearted cozies was a good choice for me! I like to mix it up! 💕 thanks for watching!
I love that it’s a generational thing too! Like my mom saved the books for me, and now I can read them with my daughter! I hope she can handle Goosebumps! My very first taste of horror! 💕📚 Thanks, Kelsi!!
I haven't read Fried Green Tomatoes but I love the movie. If you haven't watched it, you should after reading the book. And there is some very interesting cooking that happens in that one.... Also..I can confirm that Southern Book Club is Grady Hendrix at his best. I absolutely loved that one.
My mom said the same thing about Fried Green Tomatoes-she loved the movie! I finally got it from the library and there are recipes in that book too! Should be a yummy vlog! Lol 😆 I’m slowly working my way through all of Hendrix’s books… constantly torn between wanting to binge them all and wanting to take my time and savor having something new of his to read! I’ve loved everything I’ve read from him so far!
I would have liked to do the food themed readathon but I have too many books in my TBR this month! All the books you picked seems so interesting! 🩶🐍🩶🐍🩶🐍
I totally understand having a lot already planned for the month! I get most of my books from the library, so it pretty much forces me to stick to a tbr. 😆 thanks so much for warning!
If you read books with an element of food for a food themed readathon that might be why you are biting off more than you can chew! Hope you get some great reads.
Looks like a great TBR! I really enjoyed Black Cake! And Southern Book Club but I think I already mentioned that haha. The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie and Crime and Poetry both sound cute and fun! 💚
Thank you so much for the mention. I squeed when you mentioned BSC ! I’m so excited for you to read the cheese shop. ❤ I’m glad you are reading the Grady Hendrix 🍑🍑 I’m so excited for your month. 🎉🎉🎉🌺🌺🌺
Love the sound of Crime and Poetry, love cosies set in bookshops. If you enjoy it then you might enjoy The Cambridge Bookshop series by Elizabeth Penney. Enjoy all your reading.

@@Laura_Reads When I think cozy mysteries, I think Jessica Fletcher and Cabot Cove. 🥰
@@katsnoveladventures1863 oh gosh, that’s old school for sure!! 💕 I remember those but haven’t read them (or seen the show!)

I am soooo excited you are going on this cozy journey! 🤭 Buried in a Good Book & Crime and Poetry are two of my all time favorite cozies!
I started Buried in a Good Book yesterday, and the grumpy/sunshine banter between Tess and the sheriff… I’m loving it!
I just subbed to your channel. It's always fun to find new booktubers to watch. 😊
This is a fabulous TBR! Thank you for sharing Randomathon and the graphics!
Anytime!! 💕

Awesome!! I’m enjoying the cozies so far!! Can’t wait to finish them and talk about them with y’all on the vlog. Thanks to watching! 💕📖
@@Laura_Reads Look forward to watching.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on 'Black Cake'. I loved it. And maybe you can try the black cake recipe at the back of the book.
I loved it too!! The book I have didn’t have a recipe though. 😢 I definitely would have tried it!
@@Laura_Reads That’s great. I can send you a picture of it by Email if that’s ok with you. My copy has the recipe but am too lazy to try it out 🙈.
@@Onemorebookpodcast. would love that!!
Love these videos!
Thank you, friend!! 💕📚
I'm going to try to get to lemon drop pie as well! So curious how you'll like southern book club!
I’m so curious too! I’ve liked everything I’ve read from Hendrix so far. Lemon drop pie makes me hungry just looking at the cover!! 🥧💕🍋
@@Laura_Reads it has the cutest cover!!
