I have been watching your cost of living breakdown year on year. Initially, it was so affordable but it has gone up every year. The inflation right now is crazy. I moved to Istanbul in 2023 and prices keep going up

Yes, spot on. But when my friends tell me Canada has similar grocery prices as Turkiye, much expensive rents and utility costs, it feels like a bit of a consolation. 😅

If you plan to migrate here, do not expect people to be welcoming anymore, especially if you are coming from a developing country. Keep your expectations very low. I might actually even argue that you may get hostile reactions since you may be confused with refugees - the sentiment is terrible.

This is an excellent question and I think the answer will probably add a lot of value for others too. I'll make a video on this next week. IN SHA ALLAH!
But I know that you're traveling soon, so here's a summary:
Kas and Fethiye are great cities. They'll take 4 hours to reach by bus. Alanya too, but on the other side of Antalya and will take 2 hours on bus.
Search for Antalya Otogar. Buses go to different cities from there. Cheapest way to travel. You can check bus schedules on Obilet app. And book seats online if you want.
As for things to see= aspendos, termesos, suluada boat tour (this will be a day trip) and more. There's basically aloooooot to do. 😅 Hope the answer was helpful🤝🏼

I moved to Turkey four years ago, and in the interim, prices have gone through the roof, particularly property prices. What you have to understand, most people in Turkey live in apartments, which is something that's invariably looked down upon in many parts of the world, and priced accordingly. So when anyone gives reference to "Cheap House Prices" in Turkey, it's not actually true. "Houses", in the true sense of the word, cost much more here than in most of Europe, and for the asking price of a "Shabby Apartment" in Antalya, you could buy a very decent "Proper House" in Spain for example.

Water and electricity are fine in our region. And we get gas through government services-we don't use the cylinder. As for the meat, you're spot on. We were comparing prices with Canada recently, and Turkiye was definitely more expensive.

I'd suggest you look for hotels in the Konyaalti region. Preferably near the Meltem area. That'll be close to Kaleici (old town), the beach, aquarium, museum and cable car. And there are many restaurants in the area too.
For fruit market, you'll have to ask around because each area has a different date when the bazaar is set. For example, my bazaar is on Monday. Liman bazaar is on Tuesday. And so on.
