I have an NC 2. The NC1 I had before had a console that was split into two sides. It was pretty useless. On the NC2 they give you the option of keeping the two sides or Removing the separator so that it is just one compartment. I love the console now. Just great. Plus the console let’s you rest your arm on it making shifting so great. The parking brake also was switched to the passenger side on the NC. These videos of older Miata’s usually make me happy that I have an Nc.
I have a 97 that I refer to as poor little Miata. It looks like it went through a war zone. So I'll be giving it some love by doing this. BTW I'm 73 but I still hang on to my Miata
So glad I did this mod. It’s so much cleaner and there’s so much more space. You can easily make you own. Loop carpet is $30 on ebay. I glued velcro strips to the carpet underside and it works great.
Can I do the same to an nb2??? Not sure if you’ll see this since this video is old but if you do, I’m looking to switch my tan interior to black. Great video tho!!

@@Oats01 this is the kit for the manual windows I believe there’s a plate that you can mount near the shifter that will hold the switch pack for power windows though!
@@SpiritDriven yeah i used your video to help with me doing this and i see the bulb now weird. only issue is that three of the four bolts for the boot snapped on me and now i gotta figure out how to get them out

Cheap aftermarket shift boots only last a year. The factory one 5-6 from my experience.
Seems to be holding up very well so far 💪🏼
