@@notthe1_orthe2 wish I could of had a better fix to it but it was too janky of a “mod” to make a video on :( If you send pictures of the panel and show which part is broken I might be able to help @86goals
if you do it correctly and use the adhesion promotor( which I didnt see them do) SEM color coat lasts forever and isnt really paint, its more like a dye that bonds with the plastic.
Any idea if its possible to spray paint the interior trim with a different colour? My nc has a black interior but I'd love to spray paint it a tan colour instead but not sure how hard it would be.
Thanks dude! I would do a suuuper fine sanding job on the center console Maybe even like a scotch red pad Enough to knock the plastic coating off but not enough to put any scratches into the plastic
Dope vids! So i read that SEM camel color 15173 is better match for my 94 m edition (just got first miata). Do you know how many versions of tan there are? Im curious if mine is same as yours or a darker color.
I think they only have 1 tan Just depends on the year Worst thing that happens is you hate it and respray to a darker tone I was very happy with the camel I’m going to respray all of my tan in our NB2 build as well!
I just gutted my new-to-me 95 Miata and cleaned SO MUCH dirt out of it and took screenshots of the end shots in this video so I can figure out where to put all the trim pieces back 😂
Is there a graceful way to get the plastic end caps for the cockpit brace off? (If that's what it's called, the horiz bar behind the seats) Every video I watch they just say "pop off these caps" then look @ it funny and it falls off. Not wanting to break mine.
@@SpiritDriven lol, I just now managed to "pop them off" without doing too much damage. I feel like a flat interior trim tool with a gap on the end might have worked. Unfortunately mine didn't have a big enough gap. Thanks for the quick reply! I just got a 95 and your videos are the best ones I've seen.
Thanks dude! Love how it’s coming out And once we actually go thru the whole process of getting new belts we’ll be sure to have it up for the channel 🤘🏼
Saaaaaal! I bought a car!!!!!!!! You were one of the many ppl that inspired me to keep moving and achieve what I’ve always wanted!
Mark dude congrats! Whatd you get man!?
@@SpiritDriven a 98 260rs. Nissan stagea!!!!!!!
I was so busy that I missed out on watching this video. Definitely glad I got to see it before I forgot.
I have a 95M too and would love a quick video on reinstalling the knee plate. I need to put mine back on too!

Looks good. Pull those seat belts and hit them with some carpet cleaner and a pressure washer. It’s magic.
Actually we got new seatbelts made for the car!
loving the series!!
Thanks for the love!! 💪🏼
Watched your maaco videos a few weeks back and just happened on this video. Love all the DIY content
Thanks for the support dude!
Welcome back 🤘🏼🤘🏼
The new belts will be huge too any swap from grimey to timey is huge
Timey 😂 love it
Can’t wait for it all to be done
Looks killer! The little details make all the difference
Thanks so much
Super happy with the way interior is coming together 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Its coming along great!! Im excited to see even more progress
Yeaaaah! Super stoked on it
Next video coming up is gonna really change the interior up a lot
Nice work. It will be interesting to see how well the painted plastics hold up.

Great job on the interior paint/restoration 🤙🏼
Thank you brotha!!
Amazing video brotha can’t wait for the upcoming videos 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Juan! Yo you might need this stuff for the BMW bud! 😂
Those interior plastics went from ashy to classy!! BTW did it taste like a brand new car too? LOL
So much nicer huh! Big improvement 👍🏼
As far as taste I’d say yes, tastes like premium leather siding 😂
Hey! Did you end up reinstalling the knee plate? I have the same problem and still looking for a solution.
Unfortunately never found a good fix
Rebuilt the plastic but would fall off every couple weeks
Looking nice!
Thanks! Super happy with it 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hey loving the content!!! But question!! Where do you purchase the knee plate?
I believe it was redline360? Or treasure coast miata
Good stuff
Da best 👌🏼👌🏼
Love your video man! My NA miata's center console's plastic coating is peeling off should I sand it down first then paint them?
Thanks dude!

@@SpiritDriven Thank you for the suggestions man! Kepp up the good work. I recently just got my first miata and your videos have been helping a lot!!
What ended up being the solution for mounting the knee plate? Mine also have broken tabs on the bottom…
Ended up not working well enough to talk about
I was able to throw a ziptie around my broken tab
Not worthy enough for a tutorial haha

Love to hear the dedication!! It’s gonna smell way better too I promise lol
Has it hold up good or there is peeling and cracking?
Held up very nicely!
Very durable

@@PatientXer0 much appreciated man! Glad you got it off tho, and welcome to the family! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
How does it come out after you use any detail conditioner on it?
No need to use that stuff personally I like material with zero sheen
@@SpiritDriven I have product that doesn’t leave sheen on it, mainly do it for hydrating the material.
@@scarface8806 should work fine 👍🏼
You can find the stuff to reapolster the seets in miatas for like 100 bucks
So is this kind of a rubberized paint like they put on many German cars from the factory? I wonder how it will hold up over time.
As long as you do multiple coats it’s very durable
But it isn’t a rubber texture
Still keeps the plastic panels the same texture
looks sick! What do you have planned for the seats ?
Probably going to just reupholster the original seats because apparently these seats are “rare”
How many cans would you say I should get?
2 cans should be good
It’s got good coverage
That meatcanyon clip was out of pocket lmao
So glad someone said something 😂
If only y'all knew where to get new seat belts or our old ones refurb'd. Cuz mine r faded n crusty. Looks like a new car in there guys. Right on

Also...4:19... Was that Greek I heard? Greetings from athens
It was not hahah but hello!!! 👋🏼
wtf was the previous owner smoking? breaking interior plastic tabs for weight reduction? Surely that'll make it a racecar lol
I mean idk if he did it on purpose or not
But all that matters is that it’s getting back to its former glory 🤘🏼💪🏼
