If someone needs some serious soul searching and peace really just take a month off and go to Nepal and into the nature. In a reasonable price and few moments of time you will get more than what you have paid for. Away from noise, peace in the nature, self searching and making life long friends. It’s one of the best things you can treat yourself with.

I did this Annapurna trek in 1986. Amazing. We didn't have porters, and there was no indoor toilet or any showers at all. I slept on wood beds, straw beds and sometimes got the luxury of a thin mattress. All food was cooked on a wood stove - no gas. Not much to eat and I lost 10 kg (22 lbs)
In northern Burma I was in a "tender" (pickup with roll-bars) and at one point we had 25 travelers !
