As a Londoner, this video perfectly captures what tourists think of London, and what it really is.
I mean, tourists only visit Central London which is as 'perfect' as a city can be. I'm sure if they ventured off into Hounslow or Feltham it would be a completely different story.
IFB yeah tourists really only visit central London but my point is when they tourists say London a lot of them will just refer to it as a nice place. When In reality they only know places such as Leicester Square, Hyde park and all of the nice tourist attractions, and then they associate the rest of London with them, when in reality that’s far from the case... they should take a trip to Catford

Army G greetings! By no means is London a bad city. London has great places which are in truth, beautiful. However like all city’s there are a lot of bad parts in London. But all I am saying is, people don’t realise there are bad parts of London, they assume the whole city is nice. When it’s not.

3 weeks? You're lucky. I saw a song on TV while on vacation in a foreign country. Couldn't find it for 5 years. Then saw it on TV at home one day. I was so captivated by it when I first saw it I remembered the song but had no idea who the artist was or what the title was.
LIly is trying to show that big cities like London aren't perfect. Showing that it isn't all about the tea and royalty, it shows the poverty-traced areas of London. This song may be happy, but actually shows what cities are like in reality.

This wasn't a trope invented in the early 2000's, you can find it in popular songs much older sounding upbeat but having darker themes. There's so much music out there, we haven't listened to even 1% of it if you're big into music.

London is the greatest city and the worst city rolled into one, and perfectly captured by our lady here. A great myth of culture without chaos, money without poverty, mansions without homelessness, safety without violence, traffic without pollution. We are the best city in the world as long as there are a few real Londoners left to remind us that the metropolis has some issues.
But it's still hard to leave. This is my city after all, even if the demons are trying to get the leasehold.
London ( depending on what part ) is a lovely place, but i much prefer the yorkshire dales, home to my birthplace, the wharfe valley and ilkley moor. 😊🌲☔️
