There's nothing bad about soy or GMO, they're both very beneficial for you. I can say with a 99,9 percent certainty that everything you eat is GMO as all of them are genetically modified as no wild species are used or sold in the groceries. And soy has been eaten for centries in Asian cultures and so far not any negative effect has been observed from doing so apart from overeating it (moderation is the key, as always). So people have been eating soy and GMO for millenias and nothing bad has happened to them.
@@TheManinBlack9054 I disagree. Yes, Asian cultures have been eating soy for centuries BUT eating "fermented" soy such as Miso and Tempeh which is healthier. I'm glad to see these companies producing plant-based meat. However, I think you guys should do a video about these companies using GMO's and what's in the product of how safe it is compared to actual meat. Especially in a time where a lot of companies are moving/have moved away from GMO's and growth hormones used products. I think it's a little bit of an unpopular topic at the moment that's overshadowed.
"I feel like they're probably gonna taste almost like beef but missing that beef flavor". It smells almost like strawberry but it's missing that strawberry smell.
I have eaten both... Last week I tried the "Impossible Beef" bought in the Supermarket. I was absolutely impressed of how good and real its flavour and its texture are 😮😋💖 Today I bought "Beyond Meat Beef" to compare with my beloved "Impossible beef". I found that Beyond beef has a distinctive smell, different to meat, unlike Impossible, which I remember odorless. Beyond meat beef tasted a bit the same way it smells (don't know how to describe that smell). However, I found Beyond also good in texture and color, better than some small brands trying to imitate meat in the past. But not better than "Impossible Beef", which I think is my favorite 👑
I personally like impossible burger better when I had the impossible whopper then got the beyond burger from hardees, i thought it was going to be the same i didn’t realize it was two different products UNTIL I ate it and said this doesn’t taste the same and someone said “its not” both stil good but if i had to choose i would go for impossible whopper for sure. Now I have no idea which is better at home willing to give it a honest try
I’ve had both. I prefer Beyond. Doesn’t nail imitating beef flavor but it’s really good. I don’t think it needs to taste like beef to be good. Beyond also doesn’t have soy, which is a good thing. I will say though that as a crumble, beyond meat can overpower a dish so I’d actually pass in that department.
Beyond burger tastes better, but impossible is more meat-like. When people try them for the first time, they usually gravitate toward the impossible since it is so much like real meat. But ultimately beyond just tastes better.

I definitely prefer the Beyond beef products. But I will also confess the sodium is a little high. I'm more than satisfied generally cutting a serving size in half. Eating much more than that I feel stuffed.
Why they tell the Middle Eastern lady her selection was impossible burger when it was the beyond meat burger?!
Why's does she have to be middle eastern? Maybe she is 100% American.
It wasn’t. For some reason hers were switched around
Been a hamburger lover all my life; this is delicious I don't know how they pulled it off. I say both are good.
I like them both. And so glad they make products like this now. Personally the impossible to me has a slight edge in flavor, but like the guy was saying the beyond has a better texture and is juicer.
I prefer the beyond burger . I was a total meat eater before .
I have had both at home and the impossible burger tastes way more like beef then the beyond burger but they both taste great
I don't understand how soya can give the taste and flavour of meat . Please don't misguide
I'm never tried Impossible Burger, but Beyone Burger is actually pretty dann good.
Beyond meat uses no GMO’s and no Soy
Yeah that is the plus of Beyond! I have always been a fan of the Impossible Burger from day one! Love the taste but eating one makes me feel nervous because of the engineering involved.
Absolutely why I would avoid impossible Burger. Beyond beef is definitely more natural and less trillion-dollar Tech involved. I've served both the Beyond burgers and the sausage to friends and they found them fantastic. They were surprised to learn that my family raised Angus and Hereford in Southwest Michigan and I love the beyond beef burger and sausage!
@@benbrown8258 Yeah! To me its all junk but pick your best poison! 😳
American GMO products such a fermented tofu and soy protein isolate have already been proven toxic and affects the digestive system and hormones. Pesticides from Monsanto are cancerous. Not sure where you obtain your information from but if you prefer eating GMO products be my guest!
The Beyond Meat burgers are mega delicious! I want to try the Impossible one, very curious.
MontagZoso I like both, but I prefer beyond.
This just shows that different people perceive flavours differently. 🙂💙💙
As an experienced plant based eater. I suggest ,Impossible Burger for Texture and Beyond Burger For Flavor.
right words to what was in my mind
eating my first Beyond burger as I watch this.
And? What are your thoughts?
@@CNET I had it on a toasted sesame bun with a bit of mayo, salt and pepper. A slice of pepper jack. First bite and I was like..this isn't beef at all, kinda grassy. Then I actually enjoyed the rest. Very surprised at how good it was. I'm having the second one in an hour and maybe I'll post my second thoughts.
@@acidbran did it taste like beef
DRAW LIKE MATT Nope.
One of the problems I found when eating vegan meat alternatives is the “after/throat taste” and just not right texture, it’s been a few years that I have been an on/off vegan and maybe I’ve simply gotten use to it, but I remember that was a turn off.
I love burgers & quit eating animals years ago. My favorite is BEYOND! Never had a better one.
@karonic ゝ have you ever tried to understand why? or you just think your way bcos that's the right way?
@karonic ゝ well dead animal is from killing an already tortured animal. Some of us don't want to contribute to that.
I grew up with real meat, and i miss it, i loved it, i was a meat-only lover for many years. But learning of the mass produced meat factories, I had to quit.
@karonic ゝ looking like real meat or BEING real meat, quite a big difference.
@karonic ゝ but why wont you understand, not animal means....... not animal
imagine eating a picture of an animal, is it hurting the animal?
trying to make it simple for you
@karonic ゝ a person grew up loving burgers/meat
that person later learned of the torture & devastation that caused
the person stop eating meat
the person found a "replicated" source to continue eating , without the devastation/torture
understand?
You know what’s even better than the impossible burger and the beyond burger? Your own homemade plantbased burger.
Soylent Green just around the corner...
At least "that's" animal protein.
More eco-friendly than cremation and takes up less space than burials.
The impossible burger is why better
If these ground beef was the same price as regular beef I'll be vegetarian
Beyond patties are almost $6 and yoh only get two. It's annoying honestly.
wait for economies of scale, just imagine how much cheaper it is to make this in a factory and not raise cows for years.
They should have also made an all-beef burger, to show how close to beef both of them can get.
You don't need meat
In Germany Beyond Burger has a tough time. We have a burger called "Next Level" Burger which has healthier ingredients and also tastes better.
Jo Ro we have the next level over here too at all foods and it’s the beyond burger
These names though 🤣🤣🤣
Jo Ro and cheaper !
impossible tastes better. but beyond has better texture
I've invented Beyond Vegetables made out of processed meat to go with Juicy Burgers From PLANTS.
And impossible seasoning made from dried and grounded beef and bacon bits.
I tried the beyond at work 3 days ago. I really love it... That has been much lunch three days in a raw... REALLY GOOD.
It's the cowboy style seasoning "Roundup " by Monsanto that gives it that zing
I'm glad to see these companies producing plant-based meat. However, I think you guys should do a video about these companies using GMO's and what's in the product of how safe it is compared to actual meat. Especially in a time where a lot of companies are moving/have moved away from GMO's and growth hormones used products. I think it's a little bit of an unpopular topic at the moment that's overshadowed.
GMO are safe.
Why a battle, why can't they both be?
"I feel like they're probably gonna taste almost like beef but missing that beef flavor". It smells almost like strawberry but it's missing that strawberry smell.
They're both very very similar but I have to give the photo finish win to the Impossible...
I have eaten both...
Last week I tried the "Impossible Beef" bought in the Supermarket. I was absolutely impressed of how good and real its flavour and its texture are 😮😋💖
Today I bought "Beyond Meat Beef" to compare with my beloved "Impossible beef".
Factory farmed meat isn't sustainable and must be eradicated so the more authentic they can get these to taste, the better. :)
Yes it is. Stop spreading lies.
@@abes3925 Just what a liar would say. Liar.
I love both impossible and beyond a lot of flavour ♨️
Well now I’m hungry..
😂😂me too.
Beyond burgers are waaaay better. Impossible has nasty after taste
From being a site for downloading illegalities to reviewing "not" burgers
that is crazy to think about, downloading computer programs to reviewing fake meat
I remember when CNET used to review tech
fake meat is tech.
For some reason, I kept worrying they were going to puncture their mouths with the toothpicks.
Is that Sharon??!?!? I didn’t know she still works for CNET !!!!!
Lo Mio it’s Shannon, her evil twin
Haven't had a Beyond Meat yet, but an Impossible Whopper is 95% right on! I LOVE those!!
2:06 WHAT???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More about vegan food pleeaassseee :)
I was waiting for ages to try the beyond burger here in Spain and was blown away so much I went back 3 times in one week
I like Impossible burger, Impossible Whopper yas
"Tastes almost like beef, but missing that beef flavor" LOL You are definitely contradicting yourself. You could describe an apple the same way.
😂
1:55 My man ain't here for no damn test, he just hungry and I can't blame him lol
definitely not sponsored
Nope, def not.
Beyond burger tastes better, but impossible is more meat-like.
When people try them for the first time, they usually gravitate toward the impossible since it is so much like real meat. But ultimately beyond just tastes better.
I'm from Australia and we only have beyond. I love it and am eating beyond spag bol as I type this. Can't wait till impossible is available here.
Add some oyster sauce to the burger before cooking it
Anything with canola oil in it kills you.
I find that mixing a little A-1 steak sauce thoroughly into each patty before cooking, plus a little salt, makes all the difference. A-1 is also vegetarian.
I love both burgers
I’ve had both and honestly would never have them again. I’ll stick to making my own veggie patties
