Apparently the wood is naturally knot free. From the 70’s they were declared living monuments & it was made illegal to chop them down. A forest of a predecessor of the tree grew in what is now Whitby & the fossilised remains are the source of Jet gemstones.

I was bullied at school, and I've never forgotten how awful it made me feel. I'm old enough not to take too much notice of people like that any more. I'm wondering if it's the childhood bullies that grow into the type of adults who make hurtful or negative comments about things online, or perhaps I'm wrong about that. I suppose people can change their behaviour and outlook on life if they really want to. I find it very sad that people feel the need to be negative or hurtful. Here's a good idea for making a cup of tea down your homestead if you've no electricity. You could invest in a Kelly kettle, just fill with water at home and take the kit, some come with a metal cup etc. with you, you can even cook a bit of bacon in a pan on the top of the fire. Using just a small bit of kindling it will boil in minutes.
Seems you have done what my Dad once tried to do. He tried to walk home over hill and dale carrying a cast iron pipe from a stove. The pipe ended up in a field about half way, lol.

Hello Sean, I have a beautiful tree in my garden called Albizia , it is a Persian sleep tree, in the summer there are some beautiful fluffy flowers on the tree and you can make tea from them, very good for a good night sleep!

dwr cymru turned up at our door a few weeks ago to do a random water check! He had all the documentation. He took his samples and all was well! Very soft water in our part of Wales.

But would it not be easier to get all your deliveries for the homestead delivered to the homestead rather than delivering to your home, to save having to transport them down there? I don't drive and I get mine delivered to my allotment. This saves time, effort and money. Love your videos by the way take no notice of the whingeing folk that comment 😀

As a child, I remember my Mother always saying when we passed a monkey puzzle tree (and there seemed to be quite a few around back in the 60s in Middlesex, where we lived) that I must not talk - I suppose it was bad luck or something?! Lovely 🌹 Sean I just purchased a ceramic filter that simply screws onto your kitchen tap £15 & I'm putting one on the bathroom tap for brushing our teeth safely, got portable bottle filters that also makes your tap water Alkaline £5.You can also buy a large jug filter originally formulated for disaster zone areas filters out contaminants & germs for use on river water to tap water maybe for the Rusty Homestead cuppa teas☕!!
I've had that rose in the garden for years its beautiful and so is the smell as a treat I sometimes cut one for indoors it lasts well,over a week in water and gradually changes to more white on it
As a student potter I was taught how to make casserole pots like the brown one you bought .everybody used them but unfortunately they’re out of fashion now mostly I think because they need to be in the oven for hours and the electricity is so expensive.use it to keep your teabags in down the shed,keep the mice out?

There are monkey puzzle trees in the gardens of quite a few cottages and houses in Cornwall, particularly in west Cornwall. It is said that they were planted by Cornish miners that travelled to the Americas to work and bought back seeds/seedlings to plant on their return.

The basket reminds me of when I started nurse training in 1968. We were instructed to bring with us a wicker basket, PE kit and an umbrella. Did they intend us to run to the shops in the rain.

Totally agree, if someone is taking the trouble of watching your video's to just complain about what your doing WHY are they watching them ?? Unless it's purely for the fact that they love going on video's to call people over or/and complain and if that's the case I say ... Jog on. I would say 99% thoroughly enjoy Sean's video's whether he's just talking about his day in the house, or showing us what he's just bought or just a few hours on the Homestead, his true fans couldn't care less what he's doing we just genuinely love watching him. Maybe if these other people that enjoy complaining so much why dont they make their own video's on what they like complaining about, that should fill the best part of their day up ... then everyone's happy. 🥴🤦♀️

As a child, I remember my Mother always saying when we passed a monkey puzzle tree (and there seemed to be quite a few around back in the 60s in Middlesex, where we lived) that I must not talk - I suppose it was bad luck or something?! But I was a chatter box, so it shut me up for a bit! I think you are amazing the way you carried all those things for 4 miles. Lovely 🌹 Sean I just purchased a ceramic filter that simply screws onto your kitchen tap £15 & I'm putting one on the bathroom tap for brushing our teeth safely, got portable bottle filters that also makes your tap water Alkaline £5.You can also buy a large jug filter originally formulated for disaster zone areas filters out contaminants & germs for use on river water to tap water maybe for the Rusty Homestead cuppa teas☕!!
It was telling you to put more water in. I have one, and I use it all the time.

I've had that rose in the garden for years its beautiful and so is the smell as a treat I sometimes cut one for indoors it lasts well,over a week in water and gradually changes to more white on it

As a student potter I was taught how to make casserole pots like the brown one you bought .everybody used them but unfortunately they’re out of fashion now mostly I think because they need to be in the oven for hours and the electricity is so expensive.use it to keep your teabags in down the shed,keep the mice out?

There are monkey puzzle trees in the gardens of quite a few cottages and houses in Cornwall, particularly in west Cornwall. It is said that they were planted by Cornish miners that travelled to the Americas to work and bought back seeds/seedlings to plant on their return.
Hi Sean......I'm sad that you are the butt of nasty people's unkind comments. . You bring so much joy, humour and human interest to thousands of us. Speaking for myself, your videos are a Godsend, especially at this time when I'm at the hospital every day with my dear husband who is very poorly. Every day when I'm sitting at his bedside he will say, 'What's our Sean up to today' and I will recount the content of your recent video. When I get home late at night, I grab a cuppa and hope that you have a new one posted. If not, I re-watch one or two of my favourites. Keep on keeping on. Love, Dorothy.
