Like the comparison I already have the 7p's and love the battery life crazy. An I really underestimated how much I would like them as an Astro user for several years now. An a friend of mine just bought the stealth 700 an I wanted to see the differences looks like I still made the right choice. I'll have to try that immersion preset.

TB 700 Gen 2 is a great headset now, but if I still had to decide between the 2, Probably would still choose the Steel Series 7p.

I love being able to listen to music on my phone and play a game at the same time. Plus the ease of access to the app is great. Really was trying to determine whether the added 3d audio to the 7p's was worth it and now I'm leaning more that way. It's so tough bc the trade offs are huge too
@@mephistoninja2213 I just returned my TB, half the time it wouldn't connect to the transmitter. BT was great but couldn't use them in game. Way less bass then the Gen 2 600's as well.
Use the 700s Gen 2, cooling gel ear pads so your ears never sweat and you can listen to music /make phone calls/switch from connecting to phone to another by pressing one button (after you've linked or saved the headset in the list of Bluetooth devices ) ...and best part you have a Completely separate volume wheel for Bluetooth volume and Gaming volume on your console. You can also change what you want the Bluetooth volume wheel to be used as...the app let's you bind it to several different uses. So let's say you don't use Bluetooth often you can make the volume wheel separately control game/party chat volume and the other wheel only control game volume. Also new version just came out today of TB Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max. 40 hours of wireless time, and now uses a single USB dongle that can be used for Xbox One/Series S/X/ playstation 4/5 / PC etc and Bluetooth 5.1

I bought both and love the turtle beach. My biggest issues with the steel series was issues with sorftware where monitoring was just better on turtle beach.

I put mad money that the steel series aren’t built as good as the stealth 700’s, or even 600’s. See, the Steel Series have a flawed design. It lies within the hinge that connects the ear cuffs, to the frame. I literally took my steel series headset off my head, and lost one of the cuff. Come to find out, they have a boneheaded design, that uses a metal insert, inserted into plastic. It’s a massive issue imo, and many steel series owners have found this out for themselves too. My headset wasn’t even a year old. Probably not even 6 months old. Threw them away after attempting a fix…but after seeing the design, I wanted nothing to do with them. I went to Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max’s, and prefer them all day everyday. I do think the Steel series had slightly better mids, and maybe slightly better virtual surround effects…but the 600’s have better bass/lows, and high. Also, I’m not using the PS5 version..I’m using the Xbox model that can be used on all platforms, and has a USB switch. I do believe the PS5 specific ones would of sounded slightly better…but overall, I prefer them more than the steel series. Never had an issue with connection on my 600’s either btw. Immediately connect. I did have issues on my Steel Series tho. If that dongle wasn’t placed exactly in the right place, I’d have audio cuts constantly.
U gotta use the vocal boost or the custom with everything turned all the way up on the 700s. I’m an Xbox player and I sold my SS Arctis 9x and brought the stealth 700 Gen 2 and I’m happy with them. Maybe I didn’t get the full experience of the SS because I didn’t have the software updated by they were a great sounding headset but jus lacked that bass that the turtle beaches give off
After hearing all the hype about the Arctis 7p, I decided to buy a set. Right out of the box, they felt incredible. Most comfortable headset I've ever worn... Then I heard them. I was met with constant crackling noises every time something happened involving low end frequency. I tried messing with the frequencies in the EQ settings of the engine. I tried a hard reset. Nothing worked. So I returned them to Steelseries thinking I had received a bad headset. After I got my replacement, I experienced the exact same problem. I'm highly disappointed at how poorly these things handle low end frequencies. They are horrible. Just the Division 2 theme on my PS5's menu alone is enough to make them sound like they are falling apart. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone who wants even the slightest bit of low end in their mix.
Great video, but what do you guys think about the usb dongle? I noticed the arctis is blocking the usb port on the ps5. It's bad enough that the ps5 only has 3 usb ports kinda makes it feel like I'm being forced to buy a charging station
Yeah bro. We see what you mean. Didn't even think about that. Probably cuz we already had the charging station before we got the headsets. But I would say its like picking your poison: It definitely would be annoying cause I use the 2 USBs in the back for external storage and charging the headset and if I didn't have that charging station, I would have to plug out the dongle every time to charge the controller, but then it would be the same case with the Turtle beaches... so yeah it's just not enough USBs and you would be forced to buy the charging station to make it easier.
Tbh I loved my turtle beach ones but I ended up breaking two pair just by stretching them and putting them on my head. I just got the steel series so I’m hoping they last longer. Both good on sound

Thanks for the love all the way from the UK bro!! You and your friend should make sure your sound settings are on default in your console's settings because that could throw off the headsets optimization for whatever preset your using. If your still having troubles with the distortion, try pluging in your headsets to the steelseries software on your computer and play with your bass in the equalizer. Set your Preset to "Flat" to see if the distortion goes away. If it does, then your bass maybe to high. The first 2 bars in the equalizer is your sub-bass levels. Turn those down a little bit and see what you got. Turn the 3 bar down IF necessary
Sup fellas, I bought the pulse for my son as his TB 600 crapped out. But he says the mic on the pulse is trash. That it sounds muffled and his friends can't gear him clearly. I stumbled across the 7ps and the TB 700, as I felt the 700 should be an upgrade over the 600. He loves the 600. I was thinking of grabbing the 7p cuz I like how the colors are the same as the ps5. How are the mics on each? As that's his big concern. And do u know if there's a huge difference from the 600 vs the 700?
Man ready?? We have great sound with the 3d audio default setting. Make sure your headset volume is all the way up on your ps5. If your still having troubles, on the immersion preset: That last bar on the right, turn it up some and see what you get
I sent my 7p back because I just didn't think the sound was good enough I then bought the stealth 700 gen 2 I think the sound is 10 times better and the bass is much nicer

Just purchased these yesterday, and was very disappointed. The headset feels very cheap, and the mic audio quality is terrible. It feels comfortable on the head, but the audio sounds muffled. I updated the firmware as suggested, and it still was pretty bad. I'm an audiophile, and if you're considering these... don't. My favorite headset for PS5, and PC is the Rig 800HS. Has superior sound for call of duty, a great mic, is comfortable, and lasts 24 hours on a single charge. The only reason I wanted to try a new headset was because of the black Friday deals.
I'm thinking of getting the Arctic 7 but there more expensive in my country I could by the arctis 9s used very good condition but I want a brand new headset what should I do?
I'm playing on ps5. I've tried fifa I've tried Battlefield and and gta. The sound isn't that loud at all on the steelseries which is forcing me to return the headset. Is there something I'm doing wrong ? I turned up the volume on the side and in ps5 headphone setting.
I have the turtlebeach, i tried a friends arctis 7p, and i thought the volume was very low. Even at maximum on the headset and on the ps5 sound settings, it just didnt have enough volume. I had to go to the games audio settings and max out everything to get it to an acceptable level. Is it just me?
I just bought 2 headsets, and wasn’t sure which one I was going to keep, I just got the Astro A20s and I haven’t even got my Steelseries yet, they’re coming in the mail, but I think I’m going to be keeping them over the A20s, just the sound and the mic and everything is better on the Steelseries than the A20s for the $70 more I think I’m gonna end up going with the 7P+, right now I have a hyperx cloud set that I bought with my ps4 and the charge port just quit on me, and the thing that bothers me with them is I gotta turn up the volume everytime, it always resets back to low.
Lol I know bro sorry. It was until I got to test the SteelSeries. It has great sound and offers more than the 3d pulse, But the 3d pulse is special in its own way as well. Am I being thick but I don’t rate them at all, I had the turtle beach gen 2 and loved the super human hearing being able to hear the footsteps was a big plus these don’t seem to have such a feature even though it states it has something like that. I changed the settings to immersion and see no difference can anyone help?
IMO the turtle beaches do have better sound.the 7p do sound hollow compared to the TB700.but the SS 7p are more comfortable.right now there is a huge possibility I will be selling my 7p.I have the black edition .truly disappointed with the 7p. Btw I did adjust my eq on the 7p
@@asiansticker7015 My TBs went bad.The TBs I feel had more bass in them.not necessarily louder.honestly with what I know today I would go and purchase the SS Arctis.not sure if the newer ones have presets in them.my model SS any customization for sound has to be done through my Mac.

Do NOT buy these headphones. I've had three different pairs stop working! TB offers NO help. Their recovery tool is limited to PC users only. So, if you use a Mac you are SOL!!!!
@@pablozapata7419 Honestly bro. Really could not tell you. Since the 700s is doing what it was supposed to do now, it's sooo close . Both headsets are great in their own way that it comes down to personal preference. But if we going off sound alone for example; playing games like cod, you can hear EXACTLY where the enemy is at with the 7ps vs the 700s, BUT the 700s are actually a bit louder and bassier vs the 7ps .
I didn't feel good using artic on cod it's hard hearing people when I'm on cod league and was way better using the super human hearing and just felt more in the game with turtle beaches
Can't disagree with that. Even with the issues we experienced with the TBs, They do sound a bit louder than the SteelSeries. TB 700s is a very controversial headset, but glad that your having a great experience with them bro!

My Gen1 700s finally died so I was checking these two out...opted for the SS 7+ because of the TB software issues you guys discussed. The G2 700s have a nice feature set but, unfortunately, TB got rid of the separate chat/game audio volumes...damn shame as that was a great feature. Made the choice to move to SS much easier.

The 700s STATIC is related to the party chat / game chat mixer when it’s closer to the voice chat it creates static in the background especially in the PS Menus. I would suggest trying it out with the mixer all the way towards game chat, no static in menus.

You're not suppose to to use the type c dongle on the PS5 directly, it comes with an adapter.
you gotta use the USB-C to USB-A adapter so you can use the ones on back!

What 3d audio profile did you guys use for the steelseries? I used immersion with the default 3d audio profile but can't hear footsteps properly
Man ready?? We have great sound with the 3d audio default setting. Make sure your headset volume is all the way up on your ps5. If your still having troubles, on the immersion preset: That last bar on the right, turn it up some and see what you get
I sent my 7p back because I just didn't think the sound was good enough I then bought the stealth 700 gen 2 I think the sound is 10 times better and the bass is much nicer

Yeah you could say that. Turtle beaches is more so focused on your voice tho. You don't hear much of anything around you. For us anyway.

Just purchased these yesterday, and was very disappointed. The headset feels very cheap, and the mic audio quality is terrible. It feels comfortable on the head, but the audio sounds muffled. I updated the firmware as suggested, and it still was pretty bad. I'm an audiophile, and if you're considering these... don't. My favorite headset for PS5, and PC is the Rig 800HS. Has superior sound for call of duty, a great mic, is comfortable, and lasts 24 hours on a single charge. The only reason I wanted to try a new headset was because of the black Friday deals.

I'm playing on ps5. I've tried fifa I've tried Battlefield and and gta. The sound isn't that loud at all on the steelseries which is forcing me to return the headset. Is there something I'm doing wrong ? I turned up the volume on the side and in ps5 headphone setting.

We just used them on out the box on the default setting. Best sound in our opinion

I have the turtlebeach, i tried a friends arctis 7p, and i thought the volume was very low. Even at maximum on the headset and on the ps5 sound settings, it just didnt have enough volume. I had to go to the games audio settings and max out everything to get it to an acceptable level. Is it just me?

I just bought 2 headsets, and wasn’t sure which one I was going to keep, I just got the Astro A20s and I haven’t even got my Steelseries yet, they’re coming in the mail, but I think I’m going to be keeping them over the A20s, just the sound and the mic and everything is better on the Steelseries than the A20s for the $70 more I think I’m gonna end up going with the 7P+, right now I have a hyperx cloud set that I bought with my ps4 and the charge port just quit on me, and the thing that bothers me with them is I gotta turn up the volume everytime, it always resets back to low.

Lol I know bro sorry. It was until I got to test the SteelSeries. It has great sound and offers more than the 3d pulse, But the 3d pulse is special in its own way as well. We're posting a Comparison video between the 2 this week. I'll let you know in the video, but as far as testing both right now, I'm lending on steel series at the moment

Am I being thick but I don’t rate them at all, I had the turtle beach gen 2 and loved the super human hearing being able to hear the footsteps was a big plus these don’t seem to have such a feature even though it states it has something like that. I changed the settings to immersion and see no difference can anyone help?

IMO the turtle beaches do have better sound.the 7p do sound hollow compared to the TB700.but the SS 7p are more comfortable.right now there is a huge possibility I will be selling my 7p.I have the black edition .truly disappointed with the 7p. Btw I did adjust my eq on the 7p

Do NOT buy these headphones. I've had three different pairs stop working! TB offers NO help. Their recovery tool is limited to PC users only. So, if you use a Mac you are SOL!!!!
I have both the turtle beach are far better sounding. Steel Series sound hollow. After owning steel series I can say to me they are overrated.

@@pablozapata7419 Honestly bro. Really could not tell you. Since the 700s is doing what it was supposed to do now, it's sooo close . Both headsets are great in their own way that it comes down to personal preference. But if we going off sound alone for example; playing games like cod, you can hear EXACTLY where the enemy is at with the 7ps vs the 700s, BUT the 700s are actually a bit louder and bassier vs the 7ps .

Can't disagree with that. Even with the issues we experienced with the TBs, They do sound a bit louder than the SteelSeries. TB 700s is a very controversial headset, but glad that your having a great experience with them bro!

My Gen1 700s finally died so I was checking these two out...opted for the SS 7+ because of the TB software issues you guys discussed. The G2 700s have a nice feature set but, unfortunately, TB got rid of the separate chat/game audio volumes...damn shame as that was a great feature. Made the choice to move to SS much easier.

The 700s STATIC is related to the party chat / game chat mixer when it’s closer to the voice chat it creates static in the background especially in the PS Menus.
I would suggest trying it out with the mixer all the way towards game chat, no static in menus.
