I do appreciate your videos, very detailed and pleasant. For this video I gave back pulse 3d and got artic 7p+. You were right about the audio quality and immersion, and of course the comfort compared to the pulse 3d. I just have 2 problem. The mic is picking everything, even my breath or any small sound even far away from me, and not because my sidetone is up, my friends in the party told me, where the pulse 3d mic was much better ( my friends in the PS5 party said), so because your test mic seems good, can you show how you set the mic on the app and on PS5? Also, they removed immersion mode from the eq and I thought if maybe you have a custom preset similar to immersion. Thank you and keep up the good work.

the 7 supports 7.1 surround sound while the 7P is designed to be optimized for 3d Audio, taking advantage of PS5's 3d Tempest engine. It is possible however that both can take advantage of the Tempest engine since it's designed to be applied to most if not all headphones
Is the arctics 7p still better than the pulse 3d ? Bc they got adjustable eq settings on the ps5 itself since 1 or 2 months or so. My question is are the 7p still better than the Sony ones even with the "new" eq settings on the pulse ? :) PS, Oh and I almost forgot to say nice Review dude ;)
more on that on my pulse 3d review :) but in short, the pulse 3d EQ settings definitely shrink the gap between the two audio performance-wise, but it's still difficult to beat better hardware even with good software
Wait I don’t fully understand. So does the arctic 7p + and the normal 7ps take full advantage of the 3d tempest audio similar to the pulse? Is there any difference?
i did some research online and found that the only major difference is the USB-C port, extended battery life and 15 minutes quick charge for 3hrs of use.

If you find out can you drop the info here! Would be much appreciated
I have the white 7P’s and have enjoyed them but I’m considering trading with my buddy who just bought the black 7P+ headset. The only thing holding me back is that my white 7P’s volume gets much louder than the black 7P+.
Has anyone else experienced this? If anyone has advice to help me make my decision, I would really appreciate it! Thanks
I jzut night the 7p+ and I feel my hyperx cloud stinger are jsut as loud and there 60$ headset
I'm returning my 7P+ because of the low volume. Audio quality is good, but you practically have to have them on max volume on PS5
@@LiveinSeattle I've had mine 7p+ for 2 weeks and no matter what I do the max volume isbt enough. Audio and quality is so good but my hyperx cloud stinger are jsut as loud and 110$ cheaper. But everyone has to know they only have 40mm speakers while other competitors are rocking the 50mm or bigger
If the headset has a 3.5mm headset connector than you could buy a separate cable and a mini volume booster/amplifier for cheap to increase the volume. Works wonders, and only if you don’t mind connecting to your controller.
Love the sound. Having a slight issue though. I use the elgato 4k60pro game capture card. I don't get any audio on obs when you change the audio to "all audio". If I put it to chat then the audio works but in obs only.....not the headset. I'm currently researching this issue
Anyone (preferably with a ps5) know how these compare with an Arctis Pro? I've had mine since 2019 and was simply curious since other headsets I've bought in the past dont seem to provide enough volume or even bass. Thank you for the feedback.
Very thorough review, thank you. I ordered these after your review, and looking forward to giving them a shot.
How is it
I like the Black 7+ more than the white color on the 7p+ but i play mainly on my ps5 and want to have the 3d sound. which should i get?
So, I think I watched all videos about the Arctis 7p and also the TurtleBeach Stealth 700 Gen 2. I really can‘t decide which one I should buy. Some say the 7p is the best for PS5 and the 700s are better for XBOX and some say that the 700s are the best for PS5. I really want Go get the best for my money. Would you rather recommend the 7p or the 700s?
well the arctis p got designed for playstation but for best u cna get the arctis p+
steelseries are a master about headphones so
I’ve had nothing but problems with 700s gen 2 for Xbox but that’s probably cause at the time when I got it there was no dongle for it and I was strictly connected with Bluetooth.
can share what the best immersion EQ setting for this 7p+.I really want know
Hi, I just bought some 7ps and I’ve noticed that they are significantly quiet. When playing games like Rainbow 6 where I need to hear footsteps and movement, I’m not able to hear pretty much anything but myself. I’ve messed with the eq and my volume settings but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
Same here! I recently got mine and I play R6 as well on the PS5 and noticed even though the volume was on max, the sound was significantly lower than my previous headsets. Also noticed how some of the EQ settings are different from the 7P.
Did you max out both PS5 volume setting and headset volume? i just got the 7Ps also and its loud enough.
Same for me. My PS5 volume is set to max, and the SteelSeries companion app does not allow you to increase it
@@LiveinSeattle I never got around to fixing the issue. I returned the headset to Amazon and I bought the 7p+ off of best buy hoping they wouldn’t be faulty. Surely enough they worked perfectly with the eq settings and I still use them today. Best headset I’ve ever owned
@@LuvJozii do you have them at max volume?
All these videos and no one talks about the major differences between the two. Which is the equalizer and must you do to get close to the immersion settings of the 7p.
Are there any improvements to the 3D audio vs the older ones or is this just a slight update?
I would say a slight update
I thought about buying Arctis 7P+ but I have Turtle beach Recon 500. Does it support 3D spatial virtual sound on consoles?
Did you notice a mild buzzing sound in the background noise when at full volume? It’s a problem I’ve noticed with my pair I recently purchased
Wank! If you want to watch a film you have to plug the head set into your pc or laptop and change the settings, if you want to play a game, you have to plug into your pc or laptop and change the setting accordingly to what you’re using it for 😮💨😮💨😮💨 had to swap them for the nova pro 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 now that’s a head set 😍😍😍 unbelievable 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Switching presets for this headset is definitely a flawed system
Thanks for this in-depth review! One question, is the shade of white different on the 7P+? I noticed that the original 7P does not completely match the white color of the PS5 (which is a slightly blueish-white) so I’m wondering if they changed this on the newer headset.
I don't think there is any headset other than the pulse 3d that exactly matches the shade of the PS5, it's such a unique shade
Does it matter ahha
Lol this is a new complaint…
I noticed the black usbc cord isn’t really the black i like.. i like Emo black not rubber black
Damn just bought my 7p last month. Wish i waited for these to come out
Same
What if you return 7p to get your money back and get the 7P+?
@@realmrdanger i attempted it but anything over 30 days its pretty tough
@@samiralthakafi
You're going to have to wait for a while to regain more than enough money to buy 7P+ so you can have two of them. Hopefully, you have the warranty.
I need to know... when you have the 3.5 mm audio cable plugged into the headset and plug the jack into a device while the USB-C dongle is plugged into a different device... do you hear audio from both sources or does the headset default to only one of them at a time?
It will only take the wired audio
Hi I recently got the 7p + and when I was going into the eq settings I noticed that they have different presets to the old 7p And I was wondering does anyone know the differences between each new eq preset on the 7p + .
Are able to make a video on the EQ settings that are best used for the 7p and 7p+? Or a custom EQ setting that is best??
have you had a chance to check out the new Sonar settings available on the steelseries executable? compatible with the 7Ps as far as can tell. has a specific Fortnite setting which is all im playing atm. cant find anyone that has done a good review for it yet. it allows you to keep your original 7P equaliser settings then add the new Sonar effects. finding it confusing :D please help
Yeah I've tried using them, I believe those only work while the headset is connected to your computer and the settings don't transfer over if you're trying to use the headset on your PS5. I could be wrong though
I like the battery life but it doesnt have the dynamic compression the arctis 7 had on the software. the sound is op! these headsets are really hurting my ear drums. I have been using my arctis 7 on my ps5 and plan on returning my 7p+
Is 7 better than 7p+?
I just want something other than the pulse that has a working on ear game chat mix. Please.
You and me both, friend. Unfortunately Pulse is the only headseat with a working game chat mixer so far for PS5
Hi halfway through the video and enjoying it so far plus I’ve just subscribed, can I ask have you tried any of these headsets with sifu the game that released in February
Bro, can you please do a vid on the EQ settings in regards to how it works with Sonar, chat mix, etc.? Especially in regards to warzone!!
In particular, having trouble with chat mix. Chat mix on Sonar has no effect and can't adjust through settings.
I had a pulse 3d but the leather on the ear cups keeps coming off and that’s my second one, I guess I’m just gonna go for this!!
Hey do u have any settings ? Or can you make a tutorial like you did it at the 7p? Because at the 7p+ i dont have the presets immansion and performance.
Did you find solution for the mic echo, as i have same problem my friends in party they can hear their voice back, tried to lower mic level but still the same also i can hear my own breath and voice
I bought microphone foam windshield. A set of six for for £2.99
Amazon. Even though they were for a round microphone they fit and look great imo, really helped eliminate background noise.
Hope this helps.
How about beats solo 3 they seem to work great I use the wire but I could buy a usb dongle to go wireless. Have you tried those??
I have not tried that as they are not gaming focused headphones, although you definitely can do that
@@picsoleated ya I know they aren’t game focused. But I have to say they are focused and work great. I tried ghost of tushima and sounded great. I seem to hear footsteps in cod that my friend who uses the a50..?? I think they called. Being beats I would figure they would have the drivers and subs to fully support the 3d sound. No headphones are truly surround sound anyway. Because that takes 7 separate speakers located and one sub (7.1). Correct..? But yes the beats work GREAT if you own them no need to buy headset.
Hi there I was going to get the turtle beach 700 gen 2 after seeing few videos of the 7p and 7p+ so far the steel series are good for all rounder esp if I'm playing call of duty what would be worth to buy the 7p or 7p+ as I can't make up my mind.
Can you not change the volume for the mic on the headset? If not how will I be able to adjust the volume for it
You can change the mic volume via PS5s mic menu
Thanks. Just bought these. Looking forward to trying them.
Just one minor point, I assume that the game / chat mixer is only limited via USB, or for 3D headsets, because until my Astros died, I was getting 5.1 and chat with mixer still, just like PS4. You just needed a HDMi to Optical splitter to achieve it.
I just got mine and I'm hating my experience so far.. they make a hissing noise when no sounds are going and I don't know what eq settings to use for Story rpgs
@@TheFIlthy420 The 7ps?
Hi I was wondering do the buttons on the side of the Astro a 50 and steelseries arctis 7p work on ps5 or do u have to change volume level through setting thanks and nice review
All the buttons and scroll wheels on the 7p work. I haven't tried the a50 yet so I don't know
The buttons work differently on the Ps5 only the official Sony 3d pulse allows you to adjust game and voice chat from the headset my 7p+ uses the second volume wheel to adjust mic monitoring so you can hear yourself if you're shouting
Can anyone tell me why when gaming, all volume goes really low whenever there is a close gunshot or explosion or something? It’s like it’s trying to equalize the volume. I’ve disabled the option that does equalize it. Thanks in advance!
I have Astro A20 for my PS5!… Thinking of Changing them for a 7p
@Picsleated
Bro how's the 3d sound in 7P while playing games? Does arctis 7p produces the same tempest 3d sound like pulse 3d headset?
Because I am thinking to buy a headset with 3d audio
recommend one :)
I don't know whether to buy these or the new Arctis Nova 7p 🤔
I would recommend the Nova 7P as it improves in many ways on an already solid headset
@@picsoleated does the EQ settings in this video be good for Nova P as well? :)
Thanks in advance
When I don't have the headset turned on all audio output is still going to the headset only and not my TV speakers. I have to use the headset to hear games/chats whatever. Is that normal? Aren't these like other headsets in terms of when you turn them on the audio defaults to the headset only and when off it defaults to the TV only?
That's a setting in your PS5 where you need to allow it to automatically change audio sources
I saw ur videoes but u choosing arctis 7p+ or nova 7p?
Hm do i go for the Arctis 7+ or the Arctis 7P+ as a casual gamer? Guess its hard to say but i just want peoples opinion.
The guts are exactly the same in terms of sound quality between 7p-7p+
Hey just wondering if i had both the 7P+ and the Pro wireless which one would be better for the Ps5?
I have a question, can you charge the arctis 7p+ with the Ps5 controller charging wire since they are both usb c?
what settings are you using on the equalizer for the 7p+. i play apex and cant find any good settings anywhere
do you have the steelseries engine software on your pc? I use a custom EQ setting, I modified the performance preset and brought the low freqs up a little for a deeper and less flat sound, but you can probably do something you like better
@@picsoleated excuse me, bro, I just purchased this headset and I’m looking at the presets right now and they don’t seem to be same presets for 7p. I only see Flat, Bass Boost, Smiley and Focus. Any idea what might be happening? Where is the performance and immersion mode?
Hey dude if you (original poster) of the comment see this comment on here I freaking fine-tune the shit out of it man for weeks and got my 7pset up just right for Apex legends. It took many many tries and videos but Jesus I think it sounds great on ps5 lol.

Mute your mic, or you have a wheel on one cup Called “Sidetone” you can turn it down.
You hearing your voice is a feature called “sidetone” it’s very useful for people that speak in Discord or Group Chat so you can hear yourself. Some people like to hear themselves (like me).
What's the difference between the 7p+ and the 7+. They both have 30hr battery life and support USB C.
@Timo Oskam I have them now and the difference is that they support 7.1 virtual surround sound on pc
the 7 supports 7.1 surround sound while the 7P is designed to be optimized for 3d Audio, taking advantage of PS5's 3d Tempest engine. It is possible however that both can take advantage of the Tempest engine since it's designed to be applied to most if not all headphones
@@picsoleated Thanks
Is the arctics 7p still better than the pulse 3d ? Bc they got adjustable eq settings on the ps5 itself since 1 or 2 months or so. My question is are the 7p still better than the Sony ones even with the "new" eq settings on the pulse ? :) PS, Oh and I almost forgot to say nice Review dude ;)
more on that on my pulse 3d review :) but in short, the pulse 3d EQ settings definitely shrink the gap between the two audio performance-wise, but it's still difficult to beat better hardware even with good software
i only have the Artis 7 wireless heaset , works good , so dont think i will be upgrading anytime soon unless i want type c charging
When will they be releasing steel series arctis 7X+ for those with both current gen consoles? 🎧🤔
What do you think is better in your opinion arctis 7p or Astro a50 for ps5
I haven't tried the a50 but for how much they cost the a50 better be better haha
The astro A50 are better.

I just got the 7P+. Straight out the box I’m not impressed. Any EQ settings I can make to maximize the sounds ? This is my first steel series headset. I currently use the Corsair virtuoso RGB.
Hi, I just purchased this headset myself and I too was surprisingly disappointed with my initial listen. However, once I adjusted the EQ settings I fell in love. I play a lot of FPS and lean more towards bass and mids with a descent amount of treble. Once you tweak it to your liking I think you’ll be satisfied.

@@wicced1069 Looking into a headset for around 200 euro, in your opinion is it worth buying for ps5?
@@dylan8135 imo Yes. I’ve tried turtle beaches 700 gen 2 , Logitech gaming headset and the razer. Then finally landed on the Corsair virtuoso rgb. Until now. Out the box , including 7P+, only the Corsair’s sound was ,imo, good. Or good enough. The Corsair’s are a pc headset that is compatible with Ps5 BUT you can’t adjust EQ’s for Ps5. You CAN adjust it for pc use but when hooked up to the Ps5 it will revert back to factory settings. Now please keep in mind that I am not a tech guy by any means. I literally have zero tech IQ. Everything I know is from research from real tech guys. But with EQ’s adjustments the 7P+ is better than the Corsair’s. I paid $220 USD before taxes for the Corsair’s.
