tip: sometimes you need to quick save BEFORE starting the conversation, as sometimes the RNG elements are decided earlier like that. so reloading to right after you asked the question will likely lead to the same pre-set outcome that was rolled earlier. some games even decide this stuff at the start of a new game day, so to get a new outcome you may need to go back to a way earlier save.

I mean to be completely fair, you can't blame the poor girl for having no idea how to grapple with the awkwardness. She could easily have a normal level of social anxiety and just have no idea what to do but doesn't want to come off like an asshole. He's obviously a sweet chap, but I think a lot of perfectly reasonable people might be thrown for a bit of a loop there. Not really anyone's fault is it, yeah?

tip: sometimes you need to quick save BEFORE starting the conversation, as sometimes the RNG elements are decided earlier like that. so reloading to right after you asked the question will likely lead to the same pre-set outcome that was rolled earlier.
some games even decide this stuff at the start of a new game day, so to get a new outcome you may need to go back to a way earlier save.
