Yes, I would like to see Dragon’s blood, the tree that bleeds dragon blood is the Scotra dragon tree, found nowhere in the world but here. the resin has been prized since Roman times as a hemostatic agent and painkiller.
I am thinking of going there on a camp tour. Only draw is the ever lasting conflict in the mainland Yemen. When I know the starvation is happening there, I am hesitant to soehd money on my pleasure. May the eternal peace come back to Yemen.

This is AMAZING. Socotra such a beautiful place. I never know about Socotra island until I watch this documentary. Although socotra island not that well connected with the rest of the world, but experiencing on hand there, really an eye opening for the potential of amazing discovery and exploration. Would really love to do jungle trekking and hiking there, learning the local culture and connecting with the people there. Amazing!

This place seems incredible. Are there any cultural norms one should be aware of? For example, swimwear during scuba diving or visiting the beach, public behaviour etc?
I think wearing full legged pants and full sleeve no cleavage showing clothes will be needed, wearing full covering swim wear will also help. Not looking directly in the eye to prevent touts from scamming you etc. maybe carry scarves to cover heads for women and hats for men should be an added plus. This is more Asian conservative measures but I am sure will work there as well since it doesn’t oprmote any misunderstanding

It looked so incredible I had to go look up the trip info... Cost: 4300$ not including flight, visa, covid, etc. Wow. I hope they're providing some top notch service off camera for that.
These costs are mostly if you want to support socotras growth, but I've seen people travel to it for as little as 100$ but they have to travel to mainland yemen or Somalia and ride a carrier ship

It looked so incredible I had to go look up the trip info... Cost: 4300$ not including flight, visa, covid, etc. Wow. I hope they're providing some top notch service off camera for that.

These costs are mostly if you want to support socotras growth, but I've seen people travel to it for as little as 100$ but they have to travel to mainland yemen or Somalia and ride a carrier ship
