When I asked about how Christians are to judge by the gospels, they continued to harp on how all of the holy books except the Quran were corrupted. I asked them how these books could be corrupted since the Quran says God's word cannot be corrupted. They then change the subject to tell me how great the preservation of the Quran was. I wanted to mention how I knew that the Quran was not perfectly preserved, but I couldn't remember the citations/sources and I was already drawing a crowd. I wasn't sure the best tact to take and so I left. Hopefully I can head back in the future

@@FrancisAAfful New studies show that, while languages like German make heavy use of the brain's left hemisphere, Arabic makes use of both more equally, and the connections seem to be right at the center. My guess is that this makes Arabic feel beautiful to speak, so it may feel like the details don't matter as much. A native speaker who grows up reading it may feel as though they already have everything figured out. This could also explain why the west has this sense of always seeking the divine which is out of reach, and thus needing to put things in their right order to achieve it. Constantly building, constantly seeking, appealing to the cosmic order. Meanwhile I suspect the Japanese language is much more right-brained, which would explain why they seem to view the spiritual world as ever-present, and why they place so much emphasis on subtle nuances, implications and relationships.
I argue that's also why they get so bent out of shape in regards to the West and a certain other country. It's literally drilled into their heads to a cuItlsh degree that they're the ones who have it right, and that them being right will make them superl0r and more prosperous than all others. Modern Muslim apologetics has made one thing very clear to me. Muslims are way more intelligent than the author of the Quran. I mean, the mental gymnastics to make this contradiction make sense is very impressive, and takes a great deal of intelligence. The author of the Quran though, well that was just a stupid mistake.
@HartyBiker I wish they were intelligent enough not to where they would ditch the qoran altogether. Or maybe they just got gaslight enough to develop Stockholm syndrome.
Isn't the same true for christianity? I remember having discussion with christians years ago on several issues with christianity. Things like the issue of free will (basically if god is omniscient then free will cannot exist), and they will go on and on about "God lives beyond time" or "God exists beyond our spacial and time dimensions and can perceive everything at once" and so on and so forth. Not only does this not solve the problem, but I don't remember any mention of this anywhere in the bible.
@Artian_B sure, free will is a concept that is foreign to the Bible. The only time it is mentioned it is in the context of "free will offerings," which are offerings that aren't prescribed in the Old Testament law. This is actually a debate between different Christian groups, with Reformed (or Calvinistic) Christians denying the concept of free will, and others affirming it. I happen to be a Reformed Christian, and so while I do believe that Scripture says we are responsible for the decisions we make (we never make decisions contrary to our nature, either our sinful nature or our regenerate nature), I also hold to the very obvious Scriptural doctrine that God is sovereign over the things that actually take place on earth.
@@HartyBiker Isn't that contradictory though? God has sovereignty over all that happens on earth, specifically he willed everything and everyone to do and happen exactly as he wanted it, and yet we are held responsible for our actions that are already predetermined. Even taking god out of the equation, if anyone or anything was omniscient and knew everything anyone was gonna do in the future, we would effectively have no free will.
@Artian_B I told you, I don't believe in free will. I believe we have a creaturely will, and that we all only ever do that which is according to our nature. God doesn't need to tell us to sin, we all by nature want to sin already, more often than not, God is restraining us from being far worse sinners than we are. But you're right, those kinds of questions you are asking, is the exact same questions I ask of my brothers and sisters in Christ who I disagree with. The Bible actually says exactly what you're saying it should say, and never says we have libertarian free will
This Islamic dilemma is the strongest argument against Islam and further solidifies Christianity as the truth. It’s really simple, how can the people of the gospel judge by a book that never existed? Surah Al-Baqarah (2:79) condemns those who fabricate scriptures and falsely claim they are from Allah for worldly gain. Islamic scholars unanimously interpret this verse as referring to certain Jewish or Christian groups who altered the Torah or Gospel, as supported by the historical context and Quranic themes in nearby verses (e.g., 2:75-77). Gnostics, on the other hand, were a later mystical movement not widely known or relevant to the Quran's 7th-century audience, and their esoteric writings were not presented as divine scripture. Thus, the verse clearly critiques distortion of established revelations, not Gnostic beliefs or texts.

I believe that this is a great confusion on the part of Mohammed, who, as always, proves himself to be a limited man and only had access to a part of the Christian oral tradition, and ended up confusing the "Gospel", The Christian message, with the "Gospels", the compiled books that we know, for this word "Gospel" is used in many ways.
I think we are waisting our time arguing and that shows how little we actually understood the new testament. We are so trapped on this religious warfare that most christians still believe Jesus was a magical being of some sorts. If we actually put more effort into explaining the metaphors and the wisdom inprinted in the bible, change would follow on its own. That's literally what Jesus did.
1.The 4 gospels contain bits of Jesus’s gospel and it contains falsehoods too. That’s why it’s called the gospel - it’s just a gospel with corruptions in it 2. What confusion? You guys are the ones that are confused. Muslims have been unanimous on the corruption of the biblical texts but that they still contain some truth in it You know what’s been a bigger source of confusion? The trinity, the genesis stories (which are completely unscientific btw), the compilation of the Bible. Don’t throw stones from a glass house 3. Quran 5:46-47 - yes follow the gospel in terms of the monotheism and prediction of a future prophet found in it. Also you conveniently missed out the very next verse (verse 48) which literally calls the Quran an authority and protector over both Torah and gospel 4. The Quran says in sura tawbah that he entrusted the rabbis and monks with the preservation of their scriptures. Clearly they failed so for the Quran he personally protected it and alhamdulilah that’s why we have the same Quran since day 1. And you spent centuries figuring out what the bible actually is This Islamic dilemma thing is just a desperate tactic to undermine Islam because you’re running out of options. Whereas we have plenty of ammunition against Christianity.
There was a Christian Church found dating back to the early 3rd century that states directly "Jesus is God." So I think the debate is over with Islam on that front.
Why did the Christian use the same name from the Prene Inscription describing Augustus as the “good news” the Original Gospel as the names four there four books 🤔
It's a little different considering they're not referring to the same things lol. It's like asking why God calls himself God when there were "God's" before him.
@ I’m guessing you have no idea what the prene inscription is and why it is related. So this was written during the yrs right before Jesus birth. t refers to the birthday of “The Son Of God” and the coming forth of the “Good News”. This is why Mark 1 begins “The Good News of Jesus Christ, The Son of God.” And the Priene Inscription refers to Augustus as the Son of god and talks about the “Good News” of his coming into the world. In doing so Christians challenges the Greco-Roman notion of the ruler, or Emperor as the son of god. And saying no Jesus is the real one. Christianity can easily be debunked for anyone who knows basic first century history. Or history in general don’t get me started on how much of jesus story was taken from the founder of Rome Romulus.
@AbdullahIbnAbdullah-pk1kf Oh yeah I did read a little more that's funny. This video transcript has misunderstandings and misrepresentations of Islamic teachings. The claim that Islam started in 610 AD when Christianity was dominant is historically incorrect. At that time, the Roman Empire was Christian, but Christianity had already split into many groups. The Quran talks about some Christian beliefs to correct theological mistakes, like the concept of the Trinity (Quran 4:171). Also, saying “life’s good” for early Christians ignores years of persecution before Constantine became Christian in 312 AD. Historically, societies often get worse without divine guidance, which is why prophets are sent. The idea that the Quran dismisses Christian scriptures without giving clarity is wrong. The Quran confirms the original messages given to Moses, David, and Jesus, recognizing the Torah, Psalms, and the Injil as divine (Quran 3:3, 5:46). But it criticizes later changes (Quran 2:79), separating the true divine message from human alterations. This is like a teacher correcting wrong student notes while acknowledging the original lecture. This matches historical debates over changes in Biblical manuscripts, like those Bart Ehrman discusses in Misquoting Jesus. The claim that the Quran’s use of “Gospel” (singular) is confusing is baseless. “Injil” means the divine revelation given to Jesus, different from the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, written years after Jesus left. This difference is clear and shows the Quran’s distinction between divine and human writings. The Gospel accounts are historical narratives, not direct divine scripture, as many Biblical scholars agree. The argument about Allah’s power and knowing everything, including preserving the Injil, misunderstands Islamic teachings. Allah tests people by giving them free will to preserve or change texts, a principle seen in the Bible too, where God allows free will even if it leads to mistakes. For example, Deuteronomy 31:29 predicts changes after Moses’ death. The Quran’s statement of clarity (16:89) means its guidance for believers, not resolving every historical confusion for non-believers. The idea that Allah tells Christians to judge by a “non-existent” book is a wrong reading of the Quran. In 5:47, Christians are told to judge by what God has revealed, meaning the original divine message, not human changes. Historical Christian councils like Nicaea (325 AD) show debates over the canonization of scriptures, showing human influence in shaping what became the Bible. The suggestion that Quran 2:79 (“woe to those who write the scripture with their own hands”) doesn’t fit the Gospels ignores the context. Early Christian texts show debates about who wrote them, and some letters (e.g., Hebrews) have uncertain origins. The Quran criticizes the human tendency to change sacred texts for personal gain, a point also made in Jeremiah 8:8, where scribes are accused of changing the law. Finally, the question of why Allah didn’t clearly label the corrupted Gospels misses the point of the Quran’s universal and timeless message. Naming specific texts would limit its scope to a certain historical time. This approach is like a teacher giving general rules to help students find errors over time instead of listing every specific mistake. This video’s argument falls apart when looked at through historical, textual, and logical perspectives. The Quran keeps its clarity and consistency, confirming previous messages while addressing human changes. Studying honestly and with knowledge shows harmony, not contradiction, between Islamic teachings and historical facts.
He went into a cave a crazy man with no life came out with supposedly the new word of god and even had angelic sightings but still thought it was a good idea to rape 12 year olds while Jesus clearly states that he is lord, the words of modern transcripts can be actually followed to when they where written proving no corruption of the books and Jesus actually treated people well I think I know who might be telling the truth
At the end of the day, all scripture is written by human hands and is therefore subject to flaw. Jesus himself said that God's law was written in every man's heart, and the Apostles attempted at length in the epistles to explain that what is good is VERY personal. That means that, in reality, there are only two people who can verify someone's 'goodness'. God... And themselves. I am the only human who knows if I've done what I believe to be Good, and God is the only one who knows if I'm telling the truth. For that reason, while I will always say that there is value in scripture, the scripture itself is not necessary to have faith and be an upright person. And the only one who has any right to judge me is Christ, my Lord and Savior.
You really think that stereotyping all Muslims as brown is gonna bring them to Christ? This channel is going downhill. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. I'm seeing the complete opposite here.
I think you have bigger problems than either Christians or Islam if race is the one thing you’re focused on rather than ideals. If that’s your perception of spiraling into failure, you may have bigger problems with your eyes and ears than you think.
Hey Testify may I ask a quick question? This "true gospel" it doesn't show up in the quaran itself by any chance does it? I've never read it myself and I was just thinking about this video, and this question popped into my head
Ibn `Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. I pray for unity within the abrahamic faiths. I agree that the unity is through Christ. Amen
There will be no unity. It's two mutually exclusive religions. Either 1. Jesus is just a man and a prophet 2. Jesus is not just a man and a prophet If a Muslim affirms #2, he can still say he is a Muslim but he is committing shirk. If a Christian affirms #1, he can still say he is a Christian but he is going against the bible regarding verses: John 14:6, John 1:1-3, John 1:14. you cannot combine these two. If one is true, the other is false. Regardless of the beauty you see, regardless of the traditions you see, regardless of the faith they have in their religion.
None of the Holy Books stand up under scrutiny, when it comes to being accurate about physical reality. Based on that it's irrational to take any of them as divinely inspired and inerrant. That doesn't mean they don't offer valuable insights into humanity. But these insights come from fallible humans, just like ourselves. We can find valuable human insights in fiction as well. Anyone who has read Austen, Dostoevsky and Tolkien knows that.

So when they see countries that they have been told pretty much from birth are not correct, be vastly more prosperous and advanced than more than 90% of every Islamic country put together, the mental gymnastics just snaps.

If the Christians during that time were reading the same gospels they read today, then you got yourself a HUGE problem.
The most hilarious thing is that the gospel they had then spoke about Jesus being God and him being crucified, reason why Muhammad had something to refute... So how should they judge by a book that had such info

Because it doesn't. The Church, the Pillar and ground of Truth, maintained the Tradition, of which Scripture is a part of, and eventually established a Canon based on the Tradition they were given.
And this wasn't until the 7th Century that this happens.

And also I just want to say as a Christian, the word of God can not be corrupted.
According to surah 6:115
I would say it gets even worse. Because the earliest chrisians did NOT in fact say that they had four GospelS but ONE GospeL according to four witnesses (see for example Irenaeus "Against Heresies III", chapter 1.1). So why use the SAME word to describe two totally different things? That does not seem very clear to me!
Well the Gospel existed before the New Testament Scripture. It was part of the Tradition of the Apostles.
The main thing for me is that as Christians, we don’t believe that Jesus came to “correct” anything from Moses’s writings. Yet with Islam we’re just supposed to suddenly believe “Yea, sorry bro. Messed up. Here’s the actual truth. Source: trust me.”
We keep telling them Allah is a fraud, but they keep insisting we don't know what we talk about. If they were honest with themselves, they would ditch that book and turn to the one who created the heavens and all that is in it.
Food for thought. Who'd you believe? A gospel written by Someone who walked and talked to Jesus? Or a gospel written by someone who never met Jesus at all?

The Quran we have today has been corrupted and the original agreed with the Torah and the Injeel we have today
I love this concept so much, can you imagine going to Heaven and seeing Mohammed, a man who tried to spread Christianity but got stopped in his tracks because his texts were corrupted by some pagans seeking control over the masses?
@@justagreekhistorian
Well, the Muhammad most people think of never probably existed. And when you look deeply into Islam, it was probably originally a Christian anti-trinitan heresy, and Isa the original MHMD (title).
Whoever wrote the Quran apparently had access to the Gnostic Book of Thomas gospel because they both feature a story of a five year old Jesus making two birds out of clay and them coming to life after he breathed on them.
Imagine telling muslims "The original quran is lost, what you have is a corrupted version, Muhammad originally believed in the Trinity"
The muslims have the right to say "Where is that original quran? Have you seen it?"
That's must be how christians feel when muslims talk about "the injeel" 😂
Well, do you have the original Gospel? Why different denomination have different number of book? Cause we muslim have the original Qur'an, we also have millions of people remember the entire Qur'an. And every Qur'an in the world have the same number of Surah/Chapter and verse.
@mochithepooh5368 you mean the Haf quran or the Warsh quran? Or the Qualun quran? Which one should I pick?
And I treat both your book and the christian books as mythology, nothing else.
@Truck_Kun_Driver they're all the same
@mochithepooh5368 how are they all the same but have different words with different meaning that changes the context? I thought your fairy tale book is "perfectly preserved"? And even in your own fairy tale book, the pdff Muhammad (Police be upon him) is described as a false prophet, by your own god???? How can you even trust that book at that point????
@@Truck_Kun_Driver Actually it didn't change the context or the message. Also where the Qur'an "described (Muhammad) as a false prophet" ???
We know it's "perfectly preserved" because 1) We have the original version, and 2) We have millions of people memorized the book so any change would be instantly recognized.
Surah 2:79 could be mentioning the gnostics not the gospels. Muslims get confused over this.
@ There it is your dilemma...so what is the quran confirming. Its confirming the torah, injil. Now what is the injil and where is it. Unless you can provide something other than the Gospels..the quran is confirming the Gospels. So again what truth is the quran confirming and where is your version of injil.

If the Quran claims the Gospels are true (Quran 5:46) then the Quran is false, if Muslims claims that Christians corrupted the Gospels. (Quran 2:79) This violates Isalm as Allah's words cannot be corrupted (Quran 18:27) I await to be disproven by a Muslim.
The quran is the only book that allah promised to protect from corruption he didnt promise to protect the 2 earlier books he let people do what they want with it
I’m going to guess the Muslim response to this goes something like:
“But Deuteronomy Numbers and Trinity not makes sense. Ha ha owned you seeeeeee!”
Important to note, no equivalent of the years from 33 AD-70 AD ever befell any major church soon after this “final revelation” came on the scene.
Word.

That’s why it’s called the gospel - it’s just a gospel with corruptions in it
2. What confusion? You guys are the ones that are confused. Muslims have been unanimous on the corruption of the biblical texts but that they still contain some truth in it
You know what’s been a bigger source of confusion? The trinity, the genesis stories (which are completely unscientific btw), the compilation of the Bible. Don’t throw stones from a glass house
3. Quran 5:46-47 - yes follow the gospel in terms of the monotheism and prediction of a future prophet found in it. Also you conveniently missed out the very next verse (verse 48) which literally calls the Quran an authority and protector over both Torah and gospel
4. The Quran says in sura tawbah that he entrusted the rabbis and monks with the preservation of their scriptures. Clearly they failed so for the Quran he personally protected it and alhamdulilah that’s why we have the same Quran since day 1. And you spent centuries figuring out what the bible actually is
This Islamic dilemma thing is just a desperate tactic to undermine Islam because you’re running out of options.

Hi
It even says that Augustus was supposed to be a savior and that he'd put an end to all wars etc.
The only problem with that is that would mean they were stealing it from already established Jewish (at the time) doctrine.
Which spoke of a Messiah who would come to bring peace.
I do see the point you were originally making now though. The Quran did the same thing we did as Christians (in taking the same term)

The God You believe is not the true God. God is beyond any form of description including love. It have no qualities. It transcends them ans is utterly beyond duality. neither real nor non-real. GOD Is a truly unreachable. Inaccessible entity to us. nothing can describe not even what I am telling you
So, according to you, God has no description? If yes, how are you meant to distinguish your god from others? I am genuinely confused. Additionally, are you saying your god does not have any love? I am interested to know what god you serve to have no description whatsoever.

Its crazy when the closest thing you have to evidence is something so vague like “beware of those…. who LIE”😂😂

Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!" Bukhari 7363
Quran 5: 46-48 refuses you too.
I’m a big fan of the videos as someone who’s doing a dissection of the Quran myself, however, I can’t shake this feeling that your shame of their holy text disregards the beauty in the traditions they’ve upheld in their service to God. I pray for unity within the abrahamic faiths. I agree that the unity is through Christ. Amen
There will be no unity. It's two mutually exclusive religions. Either
1. Jesus is just a man and a prophet
2. Jesus is not just a man and a prophet
If a Muslim affirms #2, he can still say he is a Muslim but he is committing shirk.
Islam is not an abrahamic faith.
Service to which God???? That’s the question
