- The Mil Mi-24 (Russian: Миль Ми-24; NATO reporting name: Hind) is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and was introduced by the Soviet Air Force in 1972. The helicopter is currently in use by 58 countries.
In NATO circles, the export versions, Mi-25 and Mi-35, are denoted with a letter suffix as "Hind D" and "Hind E". Soviet pilots called the Mi-24 the "flying tank" (Russian: летающий танк, romanized: letayushchiy tank), a term used historically with the famous World War II Soviet Il-2 Shturmovik armored ground attack aircraft. Other common unofficial nicknames were "Galina" (or "Galya"), "Crocodile" (Russian: Крокодил, romanized: Krokodil), due to the helicopter's camouflage scheme, and "Drinking Glass" (Russian: Стакан, romanized: Stakan), because of the flat glass plates that surround earlier Mi-24 variants' cockpits.

Inaccurate and outdated
@@arvingascarfamily8647 Mi-24 is more useful and muilt mission in battlefield. AH-64 can't transport the infantry and supply. Mi-24 have more weapons , rocket. And the main reason is AH-64 is mainly focus on anti-tank & recon. And AH-64's job can replaced by fighter's anti-tank missile. Use Fighter for anti-tank mission is faster and safety than using AH-64. And today using drone in recon mission is better than AH-64. So AH-64 is faded...
@@DeZugthose reasons why the ah 64 are outdated are directly applicable to the mi 24. It can easily be replaced by mi 17.

@@DeZug well at least the ah 64 can strike targets without being seen with longer range missiles, precise rockets (apkws) and a gun that can swivel to any direction that the gunner looks. Not to mention the ah 64 can carry air to air stinger missiles. Sure, it can’t carry troops, but that allows it to have ambush tactics, better speed and mobility to take out anything that moves on the ground and if it’s slow enough, in the air.
