I’ve definitely found that even if you feel like you know the game pretty well, there’s a ton of value in learning an all rounder simply for the sake of practicing your fundamentals and getting a different perspective on the game than your main character provides
My best example of this is in smash, I spent a long time playing mewtwo (who functions as a sort of zoner/mixup char who is also a crazy glass cannon) but I for a while felt I wasn’t playing him to his best potential, so fully mained a new all rounder character in Mii brawler (mostly because I thought it was funny) for like 6 months and when I finally went back to mewtwo found I had a complete different perspective on how to play the game and my fundies got so much better simply because playing that different character necessitated it
Great video man. I've seen many other videos about Character Archetypes, but this one seems the most "mature" for including more definitions than the previous ones and is more updated as well.
TBH it's hard to say, I am not the best at fighting games experimenting with all the different archetypes to see what clicks for me. I also wasn't very versed in what those archetypes are until i watched this video in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate I particularly aspired to be Fox Main, with Lucario and Link as Backups and if i am understanding this video Fox would be a Rushdown type character. I tend to gravitate towards Rushdown the most, but i guess it's smart to start at the basics and get an understanding of the All-Rounders.
I think the one archetype you should add is the one in mk or injustice where it's the character that has everything even tho it was supposed to be one archetype not all of em 😂

Good video! I'm really interested in why you think that grapplers beat mixup characters and mixup beat rushdown characters
Grappler beats mixs up by the amount of damage they out put
I'm sad that you didn't mention Jago from Killer Instinct. He's my favorite Shoto/Balanced character.

Mixup is a secondary archetype, the true fifth archetype is the footsie.
