Very sorry to hear what happened to you. I found your Chinese lessons a while ago and really enjoyed them. The video on curse words was actually very helpful for me to monitor my students. I know you will get your life on track and you obviously have a bright future. Nothing will hold you back!
You, like all the good citizens of the People's Republic, and frankly, like all the citizens of the USA, deserve so much more from their government than they are getting. I hope you and your family are able to find freedom. Keep on doing your best!!
I have got to say that you're a very inspirational and beautiful person. Don't let them get you down or shame you for anything. And keep making your youtube shorts, I love them
Hearing this story is so traumatizing. What you mentioned in the beginning is PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and I can definitely see why. I wish you the best this is so scary to experience.
Oh, you sweet young men. Please hang in there. You deserve so much better. I have no idea who your are, TH-cam just recommend your video. I hope you find a safe place in the world.
I admire your courage and strength. You are absolute about what you want and the roads u need to travel to get to those destinations. If u can’t go over the bridge then go under it; and if you can’t go under it then go around it ✊🏾
You're an exceptional communicator, Eddy, with a strong character, inspiring confidence, and a justifiably positive self image. It's such a pleasure to see the pride you take in who you are as a person, and in your ability to be successful in the things you undertake. I believe your work is giving courage to others who face challenges like you have faced. You have a truly valuable voice. And oh yeah, I think a fair rate for your teaching Chinese would be $35-$50/hour for U.S. students. Love ya, man!
❤ every time you open up and share from the heart like this, you shine, i am so sorry for what you went through, my heart goes out to you, always show your kind self that is what shines through, your so genuine and kind, share more of you, no curse words needed when you chat, your so cute just being yourself ❤❤❤❤
I hope things are going better for you Charging $25 is more than fair, actually a lot of tutors charge more It's a really good deal Eddie, no need to explain yourself, what you do is your business You need to support yourself I'm not gae and yet, I think your fabulous and funny I've shared your tutoring and will continue to do so F the haters, Eddie, stay safe and Happy Holidays... 🐲🐲💗💗⛄⛄
hi, im a lesbian from Russia learning Chinese for 25 USD with a native, it's a fair price and you deserve to earn good funds for your lessons 😇 i hope to move to Europe some day, hope you can achieve it too, stay strong 🥰
haven't seen your vidoes before, but my heart goes out to you for your suffering at the hands of the CCP...trauma is painful and it stays in our bodies until we find ways to let it go. i hope you find a way to release this trauma sending hugs
I found you on TikTok via the algorithm connecting the dots between me being gay and me loving to learn about gay folks in other countries beyond the US and a love of languages, music, etc. I think the first video that came up of you was you singing a translation of a song by an artist that my LGBTQ+ friends all like and so I went and checked to see if you had other videos and you did! And they’re videos about things I haven’t heard any Mandarin teachers ever talk about; because they’re not gay and don’t think about what kinds of things gay people might want to learn to communicate…..especially since a lot of the ways LGBTQ+ people communicate with each other regardless of language is through a lot of slang, symbolic language, and so LGBTQ+ aspects of any language can be like learning a dialect of that language. I mean I have studied French and Spanish and didn’t learn anything helpful to speak with other LGBTQ+ people who speak those languages (to be fair I took French in high school and Spanish in university; my university Spanish teacher was from France so that did help a bit as she could give me examples in French for something similar in Spanish). But I also just like your personality as well and the videos were fun. But then I forgot that the US is scheduled to ban TikTok unless it complies with a law passed earlier this year and so I’ve been checking as many of my favorite TikTok accounts to see if they’ve shared links to any TH-cam, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, etc, etc, etc so I can keep following. I barely used TikTok (I got it back when the Eurovision Song Contest started an account and sharing stuff there and when the one season American Song Contest had it as a way to cast votes for songs. So I was rarely on until this summer when I started to go there more as friends and family were talking about videos on it or sharing videos from it. So I saw that you have a TH-cam and Instagram so I subscribed/followed to both because I want yo continue to see what you post. I think $25 is a very good deal for a 45 minute class…especially from a native speaker! I’m not sure if I want to actually learn to speak Mandarin. I have a friend who learned it in high school when her school offered a program for it in the early 2000s. And I think my employer speaks it (they’re Chinese-American). I did try to learn to read and write it in the late 1990s and early 2000s (late high school, early university), but it was difficult to find the time to study the book I had and then I moved and lost the book. I have seen a series of books created to make learning it easier by providing visuals (there’s a TED talk about it), but I haven’t ever found it in stores and the owner of my local bookstore said she’d try to order it if she could find how to do so. I know it’s on Amazon…I just don’t currently buy from Amazon. Anyways, my point is that even though I think your price is great I’m unsure about taking classes as I’m not sure if I’d stick with it. But I do love your videos that blend teaching the language with info about life there and so on. So I’m happy to support you making those. Are you allowed to have a Patreon there? I know lots of TH-cam channels I watch the creators seem to have a Patreon account where viewers can sign-up and I know TH-cam had a subscription thing, but I don’t know at what point that’s available for creators because I do follow channels that don’t have that feature available to them yet. It’s good to hear you’re growing and getting students. Even the students who only are able to intermittently take classes I’m sure appreciate you immensely for offering them at such a great price and working with them around whatever keeps them from being able to take the class more regularly. Indeed, at that price if I did opt to take classes I at least wouldn’t feel stressed about the classes possibly being a waste of money if I got too busy or if I find myself in a financial struggle I wouldn’t have it be on the list of things to cut from my budget. And it’s per class whereas I know a lot of times the reasons people don’t take the opportunity to learn a new language is because it’s like a monthly fee regardless of whether they attend and that’s a model that’s become somewhat ubiquitous in the US for so many things. I mean there’s even now an app Americans can get and pay monthly for that keeps track of monthly subscription type things so Americans can figure out whether to keep or cancel the subscriptions…especially when the company/whatever has a laborious and labyrinthine method of canceling subscriptions and supposedly the app makes it easier (although there’s chatter about passing laws to make it illegal to have laborious and labyrinthine methods to cancel anything). It’s good to hear things are improving and you’re continuing to heal from the trauma. You’re awesome and amazing and I hope only great things happen for you! And I apologize for writing so much. Sometimes I have a lot I think to write/say and sometimes I write/talk a lot because I’m uncertain about if I am making sense so the reader/listener understands what I’m thinking. It’s usually a mix of both: fear of being misunderstood and I have a lot I’m trying to express into words. 😊
Great attitude you have - there are always going to be nasty people out there; they have the problem not you Eddie. Be strong and always hold you head up high. Peace, happiness and prosperity to you.
I live in Africa Your English is good and USD 25 for 45 minutes is Very Reasonable! More when more advanced. I think you will succeed to build a new business.
back in the 90s I had a bf from Nanjing who immigrated to the US in order to be free as back then homosexuality was illegal in China but back in those days it was not welcome in the southern US either as well as many other places and back then the LGBT community was not really welcome in most of the world so it is good to see nowadays how things have changed for the better. These types of changes are generational and thus take a very long time. I am sure that there are closeted members of the communist party in China just like there are closeted politicians in the US.
I love your resilience and your ambition. You make me proud to be gay. It's great to work on your body for your own wishes, but also know, you are beautiful just as you are.
$25 is actually very reasonable. I would say $45 or higher in the states here are very common. You went through so much, my heart and prayers goes out to you. I would totally pay for your session to learn mandarin, if I don't already know it, even just a talk session.
@@ShineParkerLee hey Park! Just wanna say I received your fund on PayPal. And I’m so grateful that you would do this to me. I appreciate your help. And I’d like to stay connected and hopefully I’ll pay a visit when I’m in CA again! Merry Christmas!
Be proud of who you are. Don't be ashamed, there is nothing bad with that. All human love to see these types of videos, both straight and gay. The issue is homophobia. Be very careful, I don't know how Chinese works but I fear there is censorship because of homophobia.
Wow a great video, I find you very educated and English speaking is fluent. I think you are an awesome guy and could do anything you want. Hope you can find a way to immigrate to a more free county so you can do you thing. lol. Love ya and will sub to your ig now.
I only know you and your videos for 1-2 months or so. Didn't know anything about your former job. It doesn't brother me but it explains the special content you're sharing now. I'll be on the look out for a husband for you!
Do whatever you need to do to make money. PTSD has to be treated. If not it will become chronic and it will heavily influence your life. That's nothing anybody deserves. By the way, German health insurance pays the treatment. 😉 ...
Try not to worry about how good you are, and make comparisons. In the West there are so many English Teachers that the rates are now very very low. You can learn from $8 an hour via the Apps. It's also difficult for English speakers to teach in China. Try and show people the good that you can do. I teach English, I have a MA, and years of experience in business. It's tough out there.
*HUGS* I would offer to be married to you for the purposes of helping you get to America, but... I don't know if my mom will allow it since I live with her. Taiwanese moms, you know? 😅
Don't say Caucasian. Caucasian is a euphemism. $25 is very low. If I had the time, I'd be on it. Another thing you could do is be a kind of guide for LGBT travelers to wherever you are in China. Of course, you'd have to worry about people who have no boundaries. In general, the farther west in Europe the more gay friendly. Spain, UK, Ireland, France, Portugal, Germany are the most. Then Italy is somewhat in between. Farther East, terrible.
Alex the past may not changed what is done to you. Only move forward with being the person you want to be. No need to be on a label just go on to find happiness.

Have you ever thought coming to America 🇺🇸 so you can be yourself

Aren’t you becoming an angry person …? You were so nice before …
It's a very reasonable price. Glad you are able to move on.
But yeah, is a shame you can't do other stuff.
I like your attitude towards adult media, I've also done some things and are not shame, I really love it.
But I'm not as cute as you 👍👍👍👍
