I liked going to some meets back in the day with all the eBay turbo Hondas going out and dragging and blowing their shit up after talking big game. Like don't get me wrong, I felt bad for them and everything about their unfortunate deal with their car, it's just that the only reason they were dealing with things was cuz they thought they were the shit
One of my favorite people at car meets is the guy that goes out of his way to find the new guys and introduces himself and then helps them get introduced to everyone else.
I'm fairly new myself, but am learning fast, as I made the poor financial decision of building a car from the ground up. I do have previous experience working on cars and pickups in general, and I've grown up doing fabrication, but its difficult. A someone who has made a fun but poor decision, don't get a project car until you have some experience on regular car maintenance and have watched a lot of ChrisFix videos.
Lot of awesome people, lot of shitty people, but a lot more awesome people. Just don’t let the judgmental douche shoots steer you away. I’ve made a lot of friends based on us both just being car people
As a muscle car guy liking screaming v8s of the 70s, but everytime I see a lowered Subaru with a little rumble I lose my shit, I think they look and sound so good 🔥🔥🔥
When you find a group of car guys with diverse tastes and different cars that all get along, you've found something truly special. My area is mostly Muscle Cars (Scat packs and Mustangs mostly) My favorite experience was at a muscle car meet with a friend. I was nervous about it cause at the time I had a R53 Mini and I guess I was afraid of getting clowned on. Turns out that wasn't really the case. Lots of guys showed genuine interest when I told them I brought a Mini, one guy even went for a ride in it with me. Was pretty fun. Update: I now have a Saab and am still friends with this group.
Most of the toxic shit is on the internet. I almost never see any toxicity at car shows/meets because everyone is just happy to be out and enjoying themselves. Usually the assholes get shunned or even banned.
I was so happy to buy my used 2016 Challenger Scat Pack. But so many haters! And every one of these personality traits in your videos are true! Respect the vehicles. They won't be around much longer! 👏
That's absolutely a ride to be proud of✊ Just ignore em man, unless you drive dangerously or act full of yourself then just ignore em. I'm a huge Scat fan, there's always gonna be people tryin to hate but if you're doing the right thing, just focus on the people who appreciate it
I have a challenger too it’s just an rt but bro most of the mopar community is so fucking cringe I hate that my car is famous for running from the cops and doing street take overs
I want a scat pack so bad, in my opinion it is a gorgeous looking car and I can't afford a hellcat, on the power situation if y'all think about it 485 horsepower is a LOT for a stock street car
We can thank TH-cam and social media for a lot of the hate mopar owners get. I have two, 19' 300s that's just completely blacked out. I also have an 06' 300c heritage that's cammed, heads, long tubes, coil overs, staggered 22'' ferrada cm2s and full bolt on. The 19' gets some hate, but my 06' seems to be loved by most.
I'm so glad to finally know a car TH-camr that doesn't just shit on cars because they feel like it. Diversity is great. That's what makes the car community wonderful. The mustang crowd jokes are the same as the Subaru head gasket jokes. It get old after a while
😂🙏 Of course man, I'm with ya! It really does get old and even banter can sometimes get old. I've had friends before who got to the point where I couldn't even have a conversation with em cause all they ever did was try to mess with you even though it was just a plain joke. I'm all for jokes but it gets annoying when that's all there ever is
A true auto enthusiast is an admirer of the dance between the functionality and stylistic beauty of the final product. Functions are based on outcomes; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's all about what the driver wants out of it, and if you can empathize with that choice based on those preset, desired qualities. Godspeed, yall ❤️
Best thing so far was the cars and coffee meet last weekend. I was embarrassed to park my car in the main lot even though not a lot of people showed up so there was plenty of space, but I felt almost embarrassed at the thought of my rust and dented grand am with an aftermarket hood that needs work in the same parking lot as a Detomaso Pantera. And when I expressed that was how I felt to a guy I got to talking about, he encouraged me to bring it over anyway, that this group is about showing what you're proud of, not necessarily showing off.
I’ve been in the car community since 2017 and I love it. I love American muscle V8’s, especially Mustangs. I currently own a 2021 Mustang Mach 1 with handling package, recaros and the 6 speed tremec manual. I appreciate all nice cars, I give credit where credit is due. I love going to meets and meeting new people, I’ve even met new really cool people from just driving on the street because they pull aside me at a stop light and we start talking and actually become great friends because we see each other all the time on the road. Cars have always been my biggest passion in life.
My mom is friends with a guy who used to be a full time drag racer and eventually went to be a mechanic. He still has his ‘88 Foxbody Mustang with a 347 twin turbo stroker making about 1,450hp
I think this is more of a confession :) I rode with a guy in his 2013 subaru STI. We had passed by a Tim Horton's prior to getting to our main destination. Since it was a hot day, I got something cold to drink. Once we got to where we needed to go, I placed my drink on the roof of his car while I took out my bags from the back seat. Afterwards I saw him fume a little bit but tried to be chill about it and said "hey, just in the future dont leave your drink like that on top of the car so it doesnt leave any marks" He also mentioned he took it to car shows so I felt a little bad but lesson learned ig?
😂That's fair man, it kinda hurts me a little when people drop or keep stuff on mine or their cars just cause of the paint but I guess they can do what they want with their stuff. Now ya know lol
Probably sounds lame but also don’t love people leaning on my car in general but especially hate it at shopping centre car parks where complete strangers lean on peoples cars.
I know everything about both American and European sports cars. I've memorized every single spec of every car I've ever heard of. I know cars that no one's ever heard of. "Sometimes my genius, it frightens me."
Regarding know-it-alls, I had an experience on Instagram (already a bad start I know). I was on a post regarding drag racing, and it was about weight distribution. Somebody was saying something, and my response was that you don't need perfect weight distribution if the cars grip is substantial enough to maintain grip at launch and when accelerating which is largely determined by the tire compound. My example was the fastest quarter-mile streetcar being a built cayote mustang in the 5 or 6 range. My key word was that if grip was "sufficient" for the cars output weight distribution won't have much effect. His best rebuttal was I didn't use the exact numbers and sufficient wasn't descriptive enough even though the "sufficient" grip varies between power and vehicles. Due to this he claimed I was a beginner enthusiast talking in such a passive aggressive way as if he wasn't tryna tell me off. I asked him what the precise numbers where and he never responded. Still angers me these people in general think they're looked upon as smarter or better than others.
Man that would tick me off, I most certainly don't know everything about cars, and certainly not much about drag racing, but for any type of vehicle this makes sense. You don't need the most grip, just enough
When I was younger, stuff like that would bother me. Now I'm older and I just recognize some people are like that and move on. Like in your case, does it change anything, or are you still feeling like enough grip will make up for variations in weight distribution? If the antics didnt bring me any new knowledge I generally discard it and avoid further interaction if I don't like it.
@@justwannasharevideo1058 that’s very good advice. Whenever talking about this stuff it’s not that fact they say this or attempt to be know-it-alls that bothers me. It’s the fact that they seem to believe they are better than others because of it. Not because they’ve helped anyone out or made a positive influence… just because they “know more than everyone else”. But thanks for the kind words man, I appreciate it.
@@Georgeshawwaiancousin yes, I’m not going to say I’m the expert. I know my stuff but there’s plenty of people who are smarter than I am. What angers me is none of what I said was wrong, but they believe they are better than others because “they know best”. It’s very annoying… it’s not a wonder that the car scene has gotten so toxic.
@@ryanrake2714 that is what would make me mad, someone not accepting sound physics and saying you are wrong for not giving exact numbers, when not everyone has the equipment necessary to prove it. That and what doesn't make sense about if you have enough traction, why add more?
Liberty Drives: The best kind of car people are the know it alls who don’t rub it in your face Also Liberty Drives: “Personally I know everything about modern American Cars”
Something i love about having a Mustang, Not My Own my dad owns it ,but every guy with another Mustang greets you and you great them just amazing feeling tbh
Honestly, without my friend Harrison with his welding skills, my Datsun will still be on stock suspension. He is like the car Jesus and just about knows everything there is in my friend group and I aspire to be like him. I began to pack basic tools in my car going to meets since last time I saw a miata broke down without tools to fix it so the owner have to call an AA up a mountain. Some tools would be great so I always have my duffle bag of tools in the trunk now
Personally i love jdm and old school muscle, i own a 3rd gen prelude and i get so stoked whenever i see a fellow car enthusiest on the road, so far with my experience which is a bit disheartening, alot of the sport class, or old school muscle cars turn their nose up at you. for example; i drove past a 68 mustang, i spotted it from a mile away so i was flipping my lights and thumbs up, however you get 0 interaction back (I do get this alot with people). In my opinion a lot of people are stuck into 'my class only' its really disheartening appreciating other peoples builds, but their ego just ruins the fun on the road. Personally myself, whenever i get a thumbs up or a wave it fills me of joy, as i know how i feel when i see a really cool build, i can't resist to flippy my lights or a wave back. I guess the car community is full of many different characters
It really is man and never ever lose that spark! We need more guys doin what you do and less getting discouraged about it. Don't forget some people might've not seen or not had enough time to react before you passed each other. I can kinda see what you're sayin though and I'm even guilty of it. I remember a specific time I drove past a cool, slightly modded WRX and wondered to myself why I didn't think to give em a thumbs up when that'd be my first thought for a nicer car. I definitely appreciated their car and thought it was cool even though it's not my favorite type of car, but I wasn't sure why I didn't think of it. Just keep spreadin the love and appreciation, maybe you'll inspire someone who didn't react to your thumbs up to give a thumbs up or wave to someone else that they see
This video really brightens my day!! I myself a Honda enthusiast, more specifically an EK9 Type R Spoon Sports Spec. Yeah, Ik that civics don't make much power and it ain't fast like supercars but hey, it's a fun car that you can take on tracks on weekends and use it as a daily driver. It's not always about horsepower, numbers, stats or whatsoever and you don't own a car just to flex or to chase clouts, money or fame but rather you're being genuinely happy having a car like that. We don't do our thing for others but for ourselves. I think we should bring the genuine passion of being a car enthusiast back in this current gen (I'm not saying that you should build a group that'd protest that kind of thing but you know, by not trying to conform to the typical normie car world) and also, let this kind of passion serve as an inspiration for other people as well. Being into cars isn't always about flexing your builds, trying to be the biggest guy in the room, but rather interacting with other people with different taste and genuinely appreciating your efforts that you've spent on to your cars.
When you restore a car for someone or build them a custom car, it is common for them to tell people they built the car themselves. Just paying for it is not building it.
I have always had a fascination for Lamborghinis. I've met people who think they're just for rich guys, boy toys, gigolos, or some famous stars. Nevertheless I wouldn't argue or say anything bad because, to each their own. I love many cars, both modern and classic and I always find it cool to find people with much or little interest, and want to know more. I can't personally say I know every car and every spec and trim, especially the American ones. But it's always good to learn and explore because cars in general are more than just machines, they can be a form of art. One that isn't painted or drawn, but they often start as one, and become a masterpiece in their own way, despite their flaws. But they give you a certain sensation when you look at one, or hear one, and drive one. No car is the same, despite its model and manufacturer, there's always a little bit of different in each one, just like people. And people will do how they do with their own, it's that freedom to do what you want to it that makes it all the more enjoyable. I wouldn't be the one to restore a car, or buy an expensive car and leave it locked in a cold storage, its meant to be driven, it's meant to be used, modified, or even trying to build something better. There is a true appreciation when it comes to cars, despite what it is and how it runs. I believe that's worth more than anything when it comes to it. At the end of the day, those who love cars, can always know they're never alone, because there's always someone out there to just appreciate it.
Possibly the most accurate video ever made regarding car culture today. Living in L.A., I don’t know if you can attend any type of car gathering & not want to kill yourself. Most people here don’t know how to have a normal back & forth conversation without going into “sell myself” mode. Meaning all they want to do is talk about themselves; what they have, what they used to have, what they want, what they’ve accomplished, etc. I imagine it may be a bit more normal down in OC because of the demographics down there (age, culture, etc) but there’s no way I’d attend any type of car gathering in LA county. Would love to hear feedback from SoCal peeps.
I drive an 01 Mazda Miata. Best car I've ever owned, both in fun and in reliability, and since it was my dad's car I know the entire maintenance history as well. Not crazy about the color (a light metallic blue) but it does look really nice on the car. Most people like it, some people don't. Eh, they are entitled to their opinions even though they're wrong.
This video reminds me a lot of our group we had at a car meet ago. We were a group of stock Honda Civic mk8, Audi A4 B7 on air, stock Ford Focus mk2 combi (me and I had tools and screws that Audi and Cordoba needed), Seat Leon with 170HP and lowered Cordoba (group organizer), stock Hyundai i30 combi, Škoda Octavia RS combi MK2 and stock Superb MK1 (1.9TDI mechanic and was needed to somewhat make the Cordoba good for drive home), stock VW Golf MK4 and stock Passat B5. Also I had conversation with the guy in the Superb about me not really being biggest fan of VW group and more of a Ford guy and him being opposite.
Another great one man. I am the mechanic of my group but I do tend to come off as a know it all lol. I love my Mopar but I'm not Mopar or no car. For the most part as long as a car has the power and looks good I can definitely appreciate it. However no I don't care for Mustangs lol. But I will still turn my head and smile like a lunatic when I hear a V8 Mustang that sounds good. I work for a Volkswagen dealership and had to go pick up some oil for an employee car. A 5.0 Mustang no less lol. And the kid working at O'Reilly's had an R32 setting outside. When he helped me carry all the other I had to pick up to my Magnum RT he was nearly drooling on it. A true car guy can appreciate anything.
Awesome video!!!!! And I agree 100% Car groups and people are solving world peace..one car at a time:) It’s the greatest joy to see someone passionate about their vision of their car..which it might not be my choice…but love the passion and the commitment. Cheers!
Thank you!🙏 I appreciate that and agreed, it's always awesome to see something bring people together and it seems cars do that pretty well as long as everyones there for the right reasons
The window on my 96 Camaro was stuck, I was certain it was the motor as it made a whirring sound when pushing the button. But I had a friend with a bmw and "race car" (a fwd eclipse that has been in pieces in his grandpa's garage for 5 years) who was 100% with out a doubt positive it was the switch. He yelled at me saying he knew more because he's building a car yada yada. Well I replaced the motor and it worked after. He was pissed and still says I should've replaced the switch because he knows more. (I worked at a local mechanic shop for 3 years during high school)
He got his ego hurt so bad😂 It's always kinda aggravating when people are so obviously proven wrong and they still try to act like their right. There's never a problem with saying "damn I was wrong" and learning from it
Been watching your videos for awhile this morning. I’ve been planning on getting a frs. They aren’t fast but I can afford one for 13k just want something I can mod how ever I want. Been working and can’t wait for my car. My mom tells me I will get it for my 18th. She is taking out a loan, but I am paying for the car
That's awesome! Not sure how soon your birthday is but happy early birthday!😂 I hope my videos help but just always make sure you're really in a position to afford it. The way you talked about it makes me think you're pretty money minded and intentional with your money and if the car is what you care about then that's what the money should go towards but also plan for the future too. Best of luck with it brotha! Let me know how things go if you think of it and let me know if you ever have any questions
I’m very new to the car community, I know it's not the craziest car, but I bought a certified pre owned 2018 Dodge Challenger SXT around Halloween of last year, and every time I drive past my fellow Dodge brothers weather it's another Challenger or a Charger, I like throwing up the peace sign and see if they throw the piece sign back, it's awesome. I've had a small amount of them give me the peace sign back and it's nice to know i'm a part of the family! I appreciate all kinds of car builds because cars are not about just being fast, it's about loving what you drive and having your car catered to you. I gotta throw the thumbs up to other car builds now, not just fellow Mopar cars, and see if I get the thumbs up back :)
First of all congrats on the newish ride! And that's awesome you're spreadin stuff like that. It can be a little sad when people don't give it back but then I just remember it could make them want to put up a peace sign or wave to someone else. Never lose that passion!🙏
I feel the same way as u do ,I just favor jdm but I always give the respect to muscle builds and give the respect and listen to what muscle guys talk ab, and if it looks like u put time into your car I’m going to give u a wave no matter what car . Subbed to
As a whole, I'd say most of the car people I meet are pretty cool people. But, to add to your list, the type I find pretty annoying are the "You should do this" guys. You know, the ones who feel they need to dictate to you what mods/etc. you "should" do or "must" do. When I finally got my favorite S550 Mustang GT, all I heard was "you should do this, you should do that." No, I should do what I want to do with it, period!; Good video. All in all, I love car people. It's a passion and I always try to remember that.
Thank you very much and you're very right! Everyone will have somethin to say about it, a lot of the time because they can't get one themselves (I don't like to money shame or always bring that into it but I'd really bet it's true at least some of the time). As long as you enjoy your ride, that's one matters and you've got one awesome car!🙏
I'm Australian I have a nice 97 caprice Holden its a v8 and I always get wow a young bloke owns it this looks so oldschool and not over done I love it makes my week man
Tbh I love cars but I hate how people try to bash at each other when people modify cars that aren’t fast to begin with. Well not everybody can afford a mustang or a corvette. Hell I have Toyota Highlander 3mz that is modified. Not saying it’s the fastest but I do catch people off guard when they see it actually pulling away. Even raced a Subaru with it. The guy won but was amazed that it was behind him catching up with his car.
About that cheesy tip people, it actually works. Was walking downtown with some friends when I saw a slammed Camry with a massive spoiler that looked like something out of Country Labs. I yelled to the guy saying "I LOVE YOUR CAR" and he showed me some love by ripping his engine like hell (scream-without-the-s worthy engine note, still gives me chills). Seriously people, don't diss people's cars and respect their tastes. At the end of the day, we are all car people.
great content man but personally i cant drive yet i have a few more years but im super excited to get out there i will defiantly be back in a few years for more info thank you for the great content once again :)
i used to think it was weird for everyone to see my BRZ pull in with a whole group of Audis (especially with an R8 and RS3) but surprisingly, i had quite a few people looking at my car, and complimenting the Brembo package on it.
Well presented and engaging as your points on car culture are spot on! Glad to watch and hear some positive points wrt car culture in today's crazy world. Look forward to more of your insight. Cheers.2019 C7 Z51 .
I used to be domestic only car guy but over the years have come to where I appreciate most anything. One of my favorites will probably blow most people away when they hear it especially seeing me get out a GTR or G63 and that is shit boxes. I didn't always have money and we raced what ever we had. So I really get a kick out of crap Hondas with big ass turbos chewing up nicer cars. I guess for me, its not about the cars as much as it is about the people. You see people from all walks of life, gender, race etc who share a common love of cars. These machines are an extension of our personalities.
I don’t have a Tesla and I still talk to the tesla owners at the meets. Perks if ur a TSLA bull (Long term Tesla stock holder). If you don’t know much about Tesla and ur into them, just ask them questions. They will most likely geek out and talk. Great crowd!
This video made me happy bc it was basically like you made a video about me lol. I have all of these qualities, except that I don't work on my cars but I have other car guy friends that help me if I ever have an issue. I also get roasted for appreciating all nice cars and not only liking a certain brand. it's so annoying.
fk that cheesey bs. its not cheese. its fkn love my brother. no joke tho, appreciate other's appreciation. in general. you might find some extra appreciation where you might not've discovered otherwise. and idk about you but this planet is quickly growing short in supply of things to appreciate. saw one of those mammoth cab trucks the other day, gave the guy a nod. he nodded back. nothing special. we didn't talk. i wasn't browsing 'missed connections'. just a "hey, nice." and its like for a very brief moment i was co-owner of that beast. i felt proud to be in its presence. and im NOT a truck guy. part of me finds those things to be rather obnoxious, if im being blunt. but its still very much worth appreciating. i would never own one. can't even come up with a reason for having one. but that guy wanted one. or for all i know he actually needed it. or ffs he might hate it but has no choice idfk. but it certainly was a spectacle, and not one for mocking. i appreciate you people that just fkn go for it. even if its not exactly my taste, i'lll always have a taste for that vicarious joy that comes with proudly owning your dream car, even if its a rat-turd lol. hope that only comes off as positive
Good video. It’s funny that you talk about guys with anime girl wraps. When I still had Instagram, I found a guy who wrapped his entire car with legit hentai. He also had “hentai face” covers on his seats. It was.... cringey to say the least, but he was a nice guy to talk to about it. As I have an anime girl pfp myself, and am an inactive weeb (I guess?), I could appreciate what he was doing, though I thought it too lewd and indecent to be put in public. The ones that you showed were mostly fine, as most are, though I wouldn’t want to have an itasha car myself, at least not anymore. Maybe I’m just getting old, but they seem juvenile to me nowadays. On another note, among some of my friends from college regard me as the “respectful know-it-all” and some times “the mechanic”. They’ll ask me things about cars they’re thinking about buying and some general questions regarding light maintenance. I plan to actually go to a high performance mechanic school so I can do this stuff full time in the hopefully near future. So I’d imagine I’ll be “that guy” for many years to come.
That high performance mechanic school sounds really awesome! And it sounds like you've already got a good history for it. When you start that you've gotta let me know how it's goin. That's the best part, just because you wouldn't have done to your car what someone else did to theirs doesn't mean you have to go after em, so it's cool that the owner was good guy. I don't know if you've heard of BladedAngel but he's really into that stuff and is wrapping his C7 Z06 for it. He also just got a Miata lol. He was a big inspiration for me to start my channel, you might want to check him out
The excited kid they are the best old mate brings his kid brother and his drooling over everyone's cars and everyone's like little man want to come sit in it while the sound system blasts or come here ill give it a rev I love them kids because they will be the next generation of car guys
I'm not big on GM. But that new Corvette is sick. I saw a murdered out black one (which just happens to be my type of car color) while I was out Ubering one day. I let him out because this is the south and we do that. We then meet at the stoplight. I give him the thumbs up and okay symbol right through the window.
Unfortunately all my years of talking with car enthusiasts has been conflicting, with the exception of maybe or one or two I’ve met. Maybe it’s the areas I’ve lived in, or trying to communicate excessively though online. What I’m referring to is people who only focus on one category, but need to crap on others. Especially being a 86/BRZ hobbyist, I get a lot of literal insults despite this category of car being for Group N and A drift and rally sports, not the speed category. I love rally and drift sports lol! Honestly it would be wonderful to me to find people who share my enjoyment of sports-cars in general. I been into them since I was 4, and still enjoy learning and admiring the various categories of them outside of my favorite. Maybe one day I’ll get lucky. I’m looking for clubs in my area to start somewhere. It just seems like most Americans or Europeans in the sportscar category are in it for boosting ego. Not sure about other countries since my language is limited.
If you have facebook and you click on "Events" you can search for car meets and cruises year you. You can also search "Cars and Coffee's near me" and try to find stuff through there. Also try to find social media pages for performance shops, dealerships and car museums near you because they might announce car shows or they'll travel to some and post about them
Always was a Ford man. When i asked the guy that builds my cars for something and he said think outside the box, and he told me a Dodge. I was offended. I drove it and now I am a true car guy. Love all cars now not just Fords.
I've been driving Buicks for 5 years. I'm not really much of a sports car person that being said I would love to own a Trans am in addition to my fleet of Buicks
@@LibertyDrives already have 2 Buicks. One of them is really nice, and the other needs a laundry list of parts but still looks pretty. I'm planning to get both those projects "completed" this summer. My first f-body might be one with a 3.8 because they're half the price and I've also never driven anything manual or rear wheel drive. Or fast lol.
The best (fill in hobby) people are the best people. It's not about what you're into. It's about being a good person. Seen it over and over. In guitar shops, at dog parks, at cycling events. All the types mentioned, you see them exactly the same there. Positive and negative.
You're very right, I've also run into some awesome guys at music shops and a couple people at a park recently. There's good and bad eggs in every batch
I love being the dude that says "disgusting" about any ford. But I always follow it up with im not a ford guy but the build is awesome, or he did a great job with that
I wish things were as diverse in my area. I find things tend to be regional, so the general attitude of one type of car driver in one state will be totally different in other states. I have a friend who is as hardcore Nissan fan as they come. To me it's only mildly annoying, but because he is very knowledgeable and I trust his knowledge and skill. (Note I say skill, he builds as much as studies.) Locally the most insufferable are Nissan-heads. The GTR owners turned the GTR badge into a meme along the lines of VTEC. "You have a pro streeter with 2000 horsepower? Doesn't matter. (motions to the grille emblem) GTR." and will be the first to talk about how the reason Skylines weren't brought to the US was because a simple spark plug swap and air filter will make a GTR than 10000 horsepower and are so fast the US government didn't want them to compete with our poor inferior US cars. (Hell, you can see how much this gets under my skin in how I write that.) and second place to the "People I don't want to be seen with" crowd and the Q50 crowd because "It's a baby GTR. Downpipes and ECU tune and it's a GTR." When they're together they're like the big bulldog Spike from the Tom and Jerry cartoons and that puppy that hero worshipped him the whole time Chester. The Q50 crowd "Yeah! yeah! We showed them! Right Spike!" "Shaddap!" "Yeah, yeah, that was stupid of me! Maybe someday I'll be a big strong GTR like you!" Meanwhile the Q60 owners shield their faces proclaiming they're not with those guys.
Second (lighter) comment. People are people. Every dog owner knows the "you know the car, not the person". You have the choice of being the guy with the beautifully restored '68 tripower GTO or "Muffin's daddy"; same thing. ;-p
I’ve had so many people in Camaros, Scat packs, Hellcats, Corvettes, even Porsches give me a thumbs up and I give them one too. Most of the toxic shit is on the internet
Did I miss any great car guys from this? What's the funniest (good or bad) car person experience you've had??😬

I'm super new to the car world but am loving leaning and interacting with the community 🚗
That's awesome! If you enjoy it then stick with it and don't let any of it overwhelm you or anything, everyone started out knowing nothing!🙏
Sorry to have to let you know, but if you love leaning you should probably get in to the motorcycle world 🤣
Lot of awesome people, lot of shitty people, but a lot more awesome people.

Why so many haters bro you drive a Dodge Challenger !

And when I expressed that was how I felt to a guy I got to talking about, he encouraged me to bring it over anyway, that this group is about showing what you're proud of, not necessarily showing off.
love this attitude. It should be about how the car makes you feel, nothing more
I’ve been in the car community since 2017 and I love it.
I'm jealous of the Mach 1! Sounds like a really awesome ride
My mom is friends with a guy who used to be a full time drag racer and eventually went to be a mechanic. He still has his ‘88 Foxbody Mustang with a 347 twin turbo stroker making about 1,450hp
That's insaaaane!
I think this is more of a confession :)
I rode with a guy in his 2013 subaru STI.

Just keep spreadin the love and appreciation, maybe you'll inspire someone who didn't react to your thumbs up to give a thumbs up or wave to someone else that they see
To be a car person you just have to have the love and passion for cars, you don't even have to own one.
I like the people who keep old cars 100% stock. they preserve history for us all to enjoy.
I can’t wait to finally get a car.
Hell yeah! I'm glad you liked the video and all of that was very well said!🙏
When you restore a car for someone or build them a custom car, it is common for them to tell people they built the car themselves.

I'm a proud mechanic friend and I'm happy to know an event organizer who gets things together
As long as you enjoy it, that's what matters man!💪
This video reminds me a lot of our group we had at a car meet ago.
Cheers!

@@LibertyDrives my sons starting to become that kid and it's wicked to see man but now he judges my power numbers......little prick hahaha
Al those crazy cars and here i am with a stock Toyota starlet p8 😂
Nice Prius, thumbs up out the window
I'm not big on GM. But that new Corvette is sick. I saw a murdered out black one (which just happens to be my type of car color) while I was out Ubering one day. I let him out because this is the south and we do that. We then meet at the stoplight. I give him the thumbs up and okay symbol right through the window.
I agree its butiful how we get to know each other i m jdm but i know a little about muscle cars
to be honest this video goes with practically anything on how to live your life socially
“Seen all of Chris fix videos” I just got called out 😂
😂😂
Love this video, love your take, i agree with a lot of this video. I do the thumbs up to everyone , and everyone seems to love it!
Aye thanks very much! I appreciate that and I believe it!
Do I know much about cars? Not really.
But I still love the community because everybody is open to helping/teaching/supporting each other!
Hell yeah man, you'll learn if you enjoy it!
6. Car detailer
7. Car photographer
You earned a new subscriber! What car do you drive
I wish you were in the TH-cam algorithm 🤷🏾♂️
i swear chris fix videos are the free mechanic trade school lol
How do you even find out when and where meets are happening cuz I’ve been wanting to go to another meet but have no clue how to find out about them
If you have facebook and you click on "Events" you can search for car meets and cruises year you. You can also search "Cars and Coffee's near me" and try to find stuff through there. Also try to find social media pages for performance shops, dealerships and car museums near you because they might announce car shows or they'll travel to some and post about them
Instagram or make a friend and start asking the local meets I go to I literally found by chance
Always was a Ford man. When i asked the guy that builds my cars for something and he said think outside the box, and he told me a Dodge. I was offended. I drove it and now I am a true car guy. Love all cars now not just Fords.
Amen man!😂
4:25 thats a clean corvette
I've been driving Buicks for 5 years. I'm not really much of a sports car person that being said I would love to own a Trans am in addition to my fleet of Buicks
That'd be pretty sweet, make it happen man💪
@@LibertyDrives already have 2 Buicks. One of them is really nice, and the other needs a laundry list of parts but still looks pretty. I'm planning to get both those projects "completed" this summer. My first f-body might be one with a 3.8 because they're half the price and I've also never driven anything manual or rear wheel drive. Or fast lol.
should also consider the photographer friend that gets you sweet photos
The best (fill in hobby) people are the best people. It's not about what you're into. It's about being a good person.
Seen it over and over. In guitar shops, at dog parks, at cycling events.
All the types mentioned, you see them exactly the same there. Positive and negative.
You're very right, I've also run into some awesome guys at music shops and a couple people at a park recently. There's good and bad eggs in every batch
The detailer that hates to see dirty cars so he cleans all his friends and family’s cars
Off road is my group but what’s always strange is every meet I’m the only fj cruiser
That is strange, I feel like with barely any work compared to other cars those seem like they'd be awesome off roaders
@@LibertyDrives they are shockingly but most people who own them never go to car meets but I do enjoy how it drives even for my commutes
I love being the dude that says "disgusting" about any ford. But I always follow it up with im not a ford guy but the build is awesome, or he did a great job with that
Im the best kind of car guy, one who loves literally anything except the autozone specialmobile/ -89.9 degree camber
Ok not gonna lie was not expecting a non anime fan, muscle car guy to defend itasha
😂😂
Honestly bruh how you even find car meets like some friends of mine go to them but even they have trouble finding em
I can't wait till I'm older so I can get into meets by myself and have my own car
3:00
That’s mainly any person who hates American cars.
I think you should do the 5 people good or bad about automotive machine shops. I can help
Best car guys imo are the Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen and Volvo.
The hot roder doesn't matter what he has as a car but the engine has work done
I wish things were as diverse in my area. I find things tend to be regional, so the general attitude of one type of car driver in one state will be totally different in other states. I have a friend who is as hardcore Nissan fan as they come. To me it's only mildly annoying, but because he is very knowledgeable and I trust his knowledge and skill. (Note I say skill, he builds as much as studies.)
Locally the most insufferable are Nissan-heads.
Downpipes and ECU tune and it's a GTR."
When they're together they're like the big bulldog Spike from the Tom and Jerry cartoons and that puppy that hero worshipped him the whole time Chester.
The Q50 crowd "Yeah! yeah! We showed them! Right Spike!"
"Shaddap!"
"Yeah, yeah, that was stupid of me! Maybe someday I'll be a big strong GTR like you!"
Meanwhile the Q60 owners shield their faces proclaiming they're not with those guys.
I'm the only kdm guy in my group I run kia forte gt so many people piont laugh and say it just a kia up to the piont where it blows them out the water
Just bought a Mustang R/T 350 1LE guys
Second (lighter) comment. People are people. Every dog owner knows the "you know the car, not the person". You have the choice of being the guy with the beautifully restored '68 tripower GTO or "Muffin's daddy"; same thing. ;-p
Great video, sub’d.
Thanks very much!🙏
I’ve had so many people in Camaros, Scat packs, Hellcats, Corvettes, even Porsches give me a thumbs up and I give them one too. Most of the toxic shit is on the internet
