You should have cut the hoses so they don't droop and allow vapors to condense and form a pool of oil in the hose. Both hoses should always be traveling down from the catch can.
Wrong answer. It's not instilling one oil catch can. It's instilling two oil catch cans. How do I know. I put both on mine. At 20,000 miles. The one on the PCV value side was half full of oil. I bought my pickup brand new. I put mine on right away. Two. Not one.

never heard of such a thing and I am not watching to find out. It's not factory so it's probably a lie.
Not at all man. Definitely works and definitely keeps the intake tract a lot cleaner
