At this video at Learn TECH I will show you how you can add or delete a user on windows 10 by using command line. Add and Delete User Accounts With Command Prompt in Windows is really a useful method.
In order to do that we have to open cmd with administrator rights.
To open cmd we go at search and we write cmd. Then we click with the right of the mouse over the name command prompt and we
select open with administrator rights.
The command to add a new user is: net user adminbackup 123456 /add
The command to see the existing users is: net user
The command to delete an existing user is: net user adminbackup /delete
In this example adminbackup is the username of the user that we want to create or to delete on windows 10.
The number 123456 is the password that it will be assigned for the user adminbackup
Add User: net user (username) (password) /add

Usually, I use GUI to add a user in windows 10, but if I can do that with only one command through cmd I think it is really smart.

You can easily add a new admin account by using the GUI of windows,
support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d
if you want to do this on CMD you need to do the steps shown on our video to create a user and at the end you need to write this command on cmd in order to add the user on the administrator group.
net localgroup administrators [username] /add

i was trying to do it. i use it for create a new user and i dont know what was the error but when i pressed restart now the computer ask a password and i had never used a password and i dont know what is the password and ask it for every option of f8. i need help
1. Do you have the possibility to switch the user?
Check maybe you can switch to your old user.
2. I believe you have created a new user by cmd and now you have to try to login with the new user to the computer...

i am gettin an error saying that 'unable to compeletely remove the selected user. Some of the user's data may still remain on the disk' please give me the solution🙏🙏🙏🙏
Have you tried the standard way to delete the account through the GUI and not through CMD?
I have accounts that I see in Explorer that don't show when I do net user command. Some examples are defaultuser100000, defaultuser100000DESKTOP-629FB22 and defaultuser100000DESKTOP-629FB22.000. How can I remove these accounts?
Those are temporary folders leftover from installing Windows. Setup (the pet name for the Windows installer) is supposed to delete them, but doesn't always do so. I suppose you could call it a bug, but it's harmless.
To view the details of all active accounts, at a command prompt type:
wmic useraccount list full
and press Enter. You'll see that there is no actual user account for the 'defaultusers.'
I simply deleted my defaultuser folders. You can too. Just like you delete any normal folder.

Hi Patrick,
You can delete the user after you added (If you do not want it). For a user that you want to recover I would suggest you to try the below:
Reboot computer and press f8 to get to recovery options. Select the repair option and then select system restore. Choose a point in time before the date you deleted the account. Wait for the restoration to complete and it should be good.

Normally, by default you will be on the directory C:\Windows\System32 when you open cmd as administrator.
Maybe this video can help you to do that.

Then, the other way is to use the command "cd".
in your case the full command will be: cd C:\Windows\System32
So you just write on cmd this command and you will be located at Windows\system32

How to change the admin user ?
Do you want to make a user an administrator or you want to create an administrator.
To change the settings of a user including an administrator try to do it through the settings>Accounts...

Sure it was very helpful, I’m now back into my computer now lol, I ran the same net user command and it made it successfully and I was back in after being locked out by windows because the sign in button did nothing when I clicked.
