Finally, a tutorial for my lack of self confidence to produce a kawaii anime girl song while not understanding a single word but reaching the heights of absolute perfection in a banger.
Shopping list for grass-eaters: Budget guitar - around $200 (Yamaha Pacifica 012 is mine) Audio Interface - $70 PC/Laptop - idk, doesn't require high-end. Especially for this type of songs Vocals - free SynthV voicebanks Drum/Bass software - there are free ones A DAW - free one is REAPER (though you can always *cough*) Pink wig - $20 Kessoku Band T-shirt - $20 Total price (considering you have pc) - $310 Now make the songs damn it!
Buying used is also great. Squier, Ibanez, also Epiphone if you want a Les Paul will be good. Just make sure it’s in decent condition and set aside money to have it set up properly.
Grab a Squire Classic Vibe Jazz or Precision bass instead of bass software. Or at bare minimum a Squire Affinity PJ. You won't regret having a real bass instead of software, the dynamics of a stringed instrument have yet to be replicated by software.
this is the best ive ever seen ever. as someone whos tried to make music before (using fl studio, vocaloid6, guitar rig etc.) you guys couldnt FATHOM how much work was put into this video. seriously amazing, maybe one day i can write songs like this ;)
Woah, I didn’t even realize i’ve been listening to a song made by you!! I was looking at some of the newer songs that used vocaloids on spotify, and i saw this one called “fade away.” pretty good stuff, dude- i’ll be using this tutorial often, those chord voicings are great to practice with.
For those who can’t afford a dingwall bass or any darkglass pedals, Ryo just uses a Mexican fender p-bass and a compression pedal if I remember correctly.
@user-qh3xi8ds5n don’t take my word for it because I think I heard that from a tone recreation video, but it also will just make it sound better in general
As someone who listens to btr and vocaloid a lot, this feels like a hidden gem for me. Glad I found it lol, this is such a great song I'm adding this to my playlist. The song really captured kessoku's style, especially the solo. I think I heard a sweep picking right there, and also tremolo picking at the end which is mostly used at their solos.
I’ve never understood how an anime character With no guitar skill then in like three months can play these extremely complex cords I’ve been playing for 30 years my fingers are like what the fuck are these
2:31 this sounds exactly like Young girl A 😭 Only the fourth chord is different Your full song sounds quite a bit different though! It's so interesting to see, how the same rythm chords on 2 songs can create something that sounds so different.
As someone who's been looping Kessoku Band's discography for the last 5 months, holy shit that sounds so accurate! Amazing job on the track, you're now an honorary Kessoku Band member.
I have this dream of joining a band one day, only problem is, I suck at guitar lmao, I'm really wishing for some lessons but the dude I reached out to isn't responding sadly
If you want to listen to the full song, and more of my originals that follow this formula, then go here 👇🏻

I got my guitar and audio interface for free as Christmas presents, all I need is the wig and t-shirt.

hello
The bocchi cosplay is always required. No exceptions.

thanks for the kind words 🙏🏻
Pink wig is essential
and the kessoku band t shirt
Most essential is the 1968 Gibson Custom Ebony. Bocchi with an epiphone is sacrilegious.
@@DesiredH or harley benton
The Dingwall bass and Darkglass amp are essential. They’re on Ryo’s own wish list, she said it herself in episode 12
this video only contains hard factos
yeah man bocchi is the great man clearly work of love and they're still releasing new song how tf we still cant get any news about season2
can't come soon enough
I can't believe you singlehandedly made Bocchi the Rock Seasons Change from season 1 to season 2

I'm glad you've been enjoying my music! thank you 😊
the bass fucking slaps(wording).
I'm proud of the bass lines in this song
For those who can’t afford a dingwall bass or any darkglass pedals, Ryo just uses a Mexican fender p-bass and a compression pedal if I remember correctly.

absolutely. no nonsense

Feels like a true original Kessoku Band song!!
now you can write one too!

@@WeaponsRemorse At least with bocchi it’s more believable as she was playing nonstop for 3 years straight (no social life moment)

This is a very good tutorial, it has a very Kessoku Band style. 👍👍
Glad you like it!
Nice! A fuzz guitar solo with tremolo picking would be perfect if inserted!
As someone who's been looping Kessoku Band's discography for the last 5 months, holy shit that sounds so accurate! Amazing job on the track, you're now an honorary Kessoku Band member.

Are there any particular chord progressions kessoku use a lot, like how a I - VI - V - VI progression is common in western music.
