I have not had the new type steering wheel before. having now driven with one (2022 3008GT, I wouldn't go back to the bigger wheel in my 2012 308. The small wheel is excellent in traffic and fantastic on winding roads. Took me 30 sec to get used to it - wife loves it.
Cars like this need a diesel engine. I think since the VW diesel gate thing diesels have been given an unnecessarily bad name when they can in fact be as clean as a petrol. Diesels use less fuel and can tow much better and feel way more driveable. Hybrids are unnecessarily complex and pure petrol versions use too much fuel.
Cramped rear seats for anyone over 6'. Flimsy storage in the center console. I hope that's for the passenger space only. The cup holders appear to rest at an angle.
As always Thomas, you're reviews as absolutely brilliant and very articulate ... However, I don't quite entertain the statement of premium manufacturers as I had a BMW's and also Audi's in that respect and yes, I find Peugeot as premium as those of German manufactures at a much better price and quality for that matter ... So I say, well super done Peugeot as you have done it again. Be honest and say it the way it is :) LOL You are the very best reviewer that is much true and I love Autogefühl indeed .. Vive la France
17:00 At least on the current (well I guess the earlier) 3008, the active lane keeping specifically does not center the car but rather keeps it as it is when the function is activated (you can also adjust by steering manually while it's active).
The only cars that don't look like every other car are french cars. Really impressive how they are able to achieve this. Wish they were cheaper in Australia n Asia.
I’m personally not a fan of this French over styled designs.. but it’s nice that they always make something different. The pre facelift 508 sedan and/or wagon are still my favorite modern Peugeot designs
I have similar looking wheel design on my new 2008. It is a retro design taking cues from eighties French alloy wheel design. I personally like them because of their individuality. They are quite unique looking.
Interesting pricing strategy... I do notice Stellantis cars get huge discounts here in Germany if you shop around a bit. Kinda like setting very high MSRP but the actual price at a dealership is much lower with discounts. For example, Citroen C5X plug-in, MSRP of 50k, but I can get it new for around 34k.
I've been in the new e3008 and its take on the icockpit concept is now more icramped for the driver than its predecessors. I like my driving to be relaxed rather than feeling hemmed in by OTT design. My current 2017 3008 does not suffer from this to the same extent and so its much nicer for me to drive.
Franchement c'est une vidéo qui me plait énormément. Très ramassée coté information, très logique, assez objective! Félicitation pour cette réalisation! Effets très beaux, bonne ambiance! Professionnel! Merci!
I'd rather have a 2 liter Mazda CX-30... a lot more beautiful than this boxy thing with horrible wheels. And I'm sure the engine will be more durable than that 1.2 puretech...
Love the design. Wheels would hit my OCD so hard. Not sure how they can overloook that when they clearly give such emphasis in design. Nice single screen on the inside. Mercedes and other big brands still haven’t figured out (or cheap out) and give you multiple appearing as one(or trying to)..
Love FINALLY seeing all the colors. Really wanted to see what the black looked like but I feel like the design gets lost for some reason. White probably brings out the most details
Interior looks nice and the sound insulation seems to be quite good. The price seems a bit high - the base electric version basically costs as much as a fully kitted Volvo EX30.
Thomas! Love your content. Please ask your sound editor to not use a gate when you're driving because the background noise volume change is noticeable.
Thanks! What you mean a gate? We do use a slight filter, just like 8 % of background noise reduction, for driving parts, because the constant flow is a little annoying
Very nice futuristc Design, the interior is fantastic, very good materials and cozzy atmosphere, it looks even better than a premium brand. I love the new i-cockpit digital curve screen an the steering wheel, is a unique car, very original, nothing like that in the market, Peugeot designers did a great job 👏👏
Being French I would expect when I need it to charge as soon as possible to say in the dash: Non je ne veux pas! Ta gueule! Great video as usual Thomas!
I really like how they have animated the UI. It's like you're in a video game. Also, yeah sure there is a lack of physical buttons, but they seem to have thought about that. The middle screen is pulled more to the driver's side, making it a lot easier to track what you are doing, while looking ahead too. 15:14 Comparing it with the older model here, I think the older model looks better. it's difficult to top that design, but since it's a French car, you can kind of forgive the weird looks.
I can’t help feeling that the car is over designed. They should have concentrated more on cabin space and performance. Peugeot’ are becoming caricatures of old designs.
Thomas, thank You! A really good review as always. I totally agree about the bad wheel design, it ruins at lot of the otherwise appealing outer design. Are You also going to review the Renault Scenic E-tech? Also this one has some bad wheel design in the top trim version 😂
VW needs to learn from the design of the French. I think VW are really good at is the packaging and giving space for all the passengers. Peugeots are generally quite cramped compared to the average vw.
I didn't see the autohold symboled button, so I guess there is still no AutoHold function. For that price range this is ridiculous, but hey, this is Peugeuot :D
It’s really appealing and I would love one …but what we really need is more affordable short range cars for urban use. Less battery lower price with adequate range.
Normally on stellantis products you can adjust with the steering wheel where in your lane you want the car to drive when the assisted driving is on. This is to be able to make way for motorcyclist to pas in congested traffic situations.
for this size you would think, for the non electric version, maybe a Toyota CH-R-esk hybrid or plugin hybrid would be used to give this size and weight an appropriate HP to run.

For me the most beautiful car from the last 6 months, especially the interior and this beautiful blue coler. Well done Peugeot.
Peugeot are really nailing interior in the last few generation of cars.
Exterior design also very sharp with Peugeot these days.
Not just the interiors ! Exterior is just sublime. Super modern, super beautiful. Radical design but it's really working well.

20000 usd you can get Peugeot 4008 in China😂, oh IT'S brand new, not second hand.
I'd rather have a 2 liter Mazda CX-30... a lot more beautiful than this boxy thing with horrible wheels. And I'm sure the engine will be more durable than that 1.2 puretech...
Might be my next car👌
Hi Tomas
Brilliant review as always, on the button!
Watching from Ireland, will the 5008 may be much the same soon?
Thanks 🙏
Possibly
Very nice review, thanks! 👍
A very beautiful design. Sadly, we don't get access to this car in the USA.
Great looking car and fab interior.
I want to see the 5008!! A bit more family oriented with 3 kids and louts of outdoors.
The rear seems tighter than q4 which is similar sized I remember?
Love your reviews Thomas
highly appreciated, please recommend !
beautiful car. hope they had redesigned the 12v battery placement so it wouldn't eat into the glove box space for right hand drive market
I love the way their current lineup drives, and Opels for some reason are the best tuned ones? Although the turbo lag is really noticeable.
The blue is nice
Best car reviewer on TH-cam
Thanks m8! 🙏
Interior looks nice and the sound insulation seems to be quite good. The price seems a bit high - the base electric version basically costs as much as a fully kitted Volvo EX30.
The Volvo is smaller, though. Not the same segment.
A Captur or a 2008 is also cheaper…
Different segments. This one gives u more range then the model Y for the same price
Thomas! Love your content. Please ask your sound editor to not use a gate when you're driving because the background noise volume change is noticeable.
Thanks! What you mean a gate? We do use a slight filter, just like 8 % of background noise reduction, for driving parts, because the constant flow is a little annoying
I enjoyed watching the Video, Blue Is my favourite Paint Colour 😊
cheers my friend !
Thanks! Almost ordered one untill you mentioned the alignment of the wheels is odd. ;)
Merci!
Love this guys reviews he is really good a new subscriber from the uk cheers
Peugeot: Fire the wheel designer please!
The real change in cars interior happens from 2021-2023 and finally it looks like the cars we saw in old futuristic movies
What a nice car!
I totally agree, the wheel design is no-go
After charging the car, for how many kilometers would you drive?
And, or
Where do you charge the car?
Tomas, can you give us the name of the chap who's head of design at Peugeot....Is it Vidal? Unbeatable designs now coming from France...
What’s wrong with the rubber seal on the door pillar over his shoulder?
Is that the only mag wheels you guys have, or are there any other different designs to choose from?
I really like how they have animated the UI. It's like you're in a video game.
Also, yeah sure there is a lack of physical buttons, but they seem to have thought about that. The middle screen is pulled more to the driver's side, making it a lot easier to track what you are doing, while looking ahead too.
15:14 Comparing it with the older model here, I think the older model looks better. it's difficult to top that design, but since it's a French car, you can kind of forgive the weird looks.
Hi Which is better ID4, Ariya or E 3008?
The Ariya, is more spacious inside.
Also this one has some bad wheel design in the top trim version 😂
yeah i ll try to organise one !
great review
cheers !
Very nice Avant-Garde design. Bravo Peugeot !
VW needs to learn from the design of the French. I think VW are really good at is the packaging and giving space for all the passengers. Peugeots are generally quite cramped compared to the average vw.
VW are rather specialized in hearse design at the moment
"Like rawwrrr" is the content I keep coming back for
Does this new one have AutoHold for the park brake?
I didn't see the autohold symboled button, so I guess there is still no AutoHold function. For that price range this is ridiculous, but hey, this is Peugeuot :D
Even the old one has AutoHold, they all do.
Amazing interior design that's even better than many premium brands. Too bad the front face is just so hideous :(
Amazing wheels. Too bad Cybertruck missed that design
Should have gone for the rose petal design? 4x petals instead of 2x here to help those with OCD?? lol
Nice car!! It’s on the same chassis as the Vauxhall Combo. But there again, they’re Stelantis made vehicles.
Storage is magnetic so it is actually great design
for this size you would think, for the non electric version, maybe a Toyota CH-R-esk hybrid or plugin hybrid would be used to give this size and weight an appropriate HP to run.
208, 308, 508 wagons are much more interesting than adding to the huge pile of crossovers that are neither practical, economic nor fast
