I, too watch Allison Bomber’s videos Words and pictures! Her videos titled “A few minutes of fun” show great techniques especially on tags! Love them! I think you nailed your tag! Beautiful ink blending!
Thanks so much😊😊😊
I recently found the Words and Pictures channel and agree that her work is stunning. She made me want to add to my Distress Ink collection.
I totally agree😊😊😊
I think the moon is Amazing. This is a wonderful tag. Love how you come up with these great ideas without having to order the latest product. Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you so much!😊😊😊
It goes to show that you can adapt 'the recipe' to suit what you have and still get a marvellous result, and this is beautiful and perfect for your new journal Chrissie. I did watch the video and it was very interesting, and I think that you made a wonderful shadowed moon, and I love the bats, and the ink blended background worked well. I know you weren't keen on the silhouette foliage but you used the white die cut foliage over the top which looks very pretty, and finishing it with the lace and the black on white die cut 'Hello' was a great idea. x
Thanks Pat, I'm glad I managed to make the huge stencil kinda work for the moon's surface, I think I could probably get a little more proficient with it with practice!😊
I think your moon looks terrific! What a fine example to take what you have and make it work! 🥰🇺🇸🌴
Oh thank you!😊
Oh for sure, AB on Words and Pictures is super inspirational, but YOU have made it so accessible Christine. I don’t have any of the poundsy Holtz bits and bobs, and you have shown just how possible it is to shop what you got and create the same wonderful effects. Thank you! (Words and Pictures, I first watched cos she must be my vintage, that was the schools programme we all had to sit in the hall and watch round a telly on wheels!! In the 70s). I enjoy your videos so very much, thanks for sharing all your ideas and tips.
I used to watch the school's Words & Pictures programmes with my classes in infant school many years ago too! So I was curious as to what Allison did on her channel!😊
You are ever so clever! I think it’s fabulous! You go girl! Whatever would we do without Amazon? Just remembering life before!😊❤
Thank you so much!!😊😊😊
Stunning use of your stencils to make a moon. I think it came out great. Enjoy filling your journal!! Try watching Nina Ribena for a different way of filling a journal too!
Oh thank you!
Really like the moon tag. ❤
Thanks😊
The moon looks wonderful and the tag is amazing!! I have nearly caught up with all the videos as I have just done a binge night whilst baby sitting!! ❤
Wow you must have great stamina😊 thanks
I am teaching two of my teenage grand daughters how to make tags. Your videos are great for introducing new skills. Being able to cover a multitude of sins is one of the fun parts of making tags. Thanks for sharing.❤
Glad it was helpful!😊😊😊
This🌕is🦇Jolly Good Ms. Chrissie, Thanks for sharing!!!
You are so welcome🤣
I loved your moon! I like that you met the challenge of improvisation too.
I'm so glad! Thanks so much😊😊😊
fabulous job on the tag, yes I watch her also. tfs
Thanks so much😊😊😊
Another beautiful creation! ❤️
Thank you! 😊
I love how you used what you had to get the look you wanted. I think you were very successful, it looks great!💕
Many thanks😊😊😊
Looks fabulous. Love the colors.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the bookmark! ❤❤
Thank you 😊
I do love the moon and appreciate you making your own stencils. I do that also and plan to have a play with this idea. Thanks
Have fun!😊😊😊
Looks like a great moon to me.
Thanks Sally😊😊😊
Hi Chris, love the moon effect with the bats, the tag looks lovely, thanks for the great demo 😁
Thanks so much 😊
This video was such fun to watch and your tag turned out so well. You really aced the moon design in particular. The inspiration you used is more in the style I originally did, and I think I'll revisit for fun. Thanks, as always, for the great video!
My pleasure😊
Wow, love this! A great moon 🌙
Glad you like it
I love the moon. I have the Tim Holtz masks but have never used them. 🙄You are so creative always finding other things to accomplish what you want. It turned out great! You inspire me ❤. As you were talking about the Fox, I was watching one in my back yard. 🦊
It's is quite bold! He's often in our back garden!
I really like how this tag came out. I have ALL of the Tim Holtz moon masks and a couple of others. Before I got those I would just use a circle die and ink blend the die around than on the remaining white circle. A little ink blending between the sky and the moon for some glow might be helpful so the transition isn't so stark. I love that you've decided to put stuff in your art journal and saw you used your new dip pen on the borders. I have those pens and a couple of inks, black, a red "butcher," and a mystic that appears to be green with a glow much like yours but I haven't opened it yet. I do now have a full set of Distress Oxides, however, I didn't start collecting them until a few years ago. I have all the dyes because I bought the minis. I did have to wait each time he released a new color as the sets of minis came in fours so the new colors in minis wouldn't be released until there were four. They're all still pretty juicy so it works for me. I'm excited to see the direction your journal is going to take.
I think itt may be an interesting journey!
Your moon looks great!😊
Thank you! 😊
Great job!!! Something you might try give your moon a slight mist so that your distress ink bleeds into the moon a little bit and it gives it a foggy look
There are lots of things I could do I suspect, but I was experimenting really to see if I could get the effect of the Tim Holtz stencils with what I had on my stash !
I think you did a pretty good job of that tag Christine.😊
Thank you😊😊😊
Very different, very nice x
Thank you! 😊
This is fabulous! I've had the moon mask on backorder for months now. I've lost hope of ever getting a set. Yours looks great!
Thanks so much😊😊😊
So very creative!! You are amazing!!
Wow, thank you!😊
I think this is a wonderful version of the original inspiration! Well done!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The only things I might have added is to attempt to soften the edges on the marks from the “patterned” stencil you used over the moon and also add a very very light, uneven hint of a creamy yellow to the moon.
Thanks so much😊😊😊 I did use a water brush over the whole moon after I had added a little white watercolor pencil around the edges. I thought it did take down the harsh stencil edges just a little. The base cardstock I picked was was ivory, not white as I thought white would be a little stark for the moon.!
Your tag came out beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much!😊
Lovely tag, I found Julia”s TH-cam channel last year and it has inspired me to try all sorts of things, she is very talented, like you xx
The girl I watched was called Alison
@@Chrissieannie yes sorry, my mistake - Alison Bomber x
Hello Christine.
Thanks so much Milou!😊😊😊
@@Chrissieannie l idée de allison de partir d un papier crème n est pas stupide afin de donner à la lune son petit côté jaunâtre 😉
The cheeky fox, I remember those, our problem is probably raccoons. Love the tag, have been looking for a stensil to use on a moon, no luck yet. Jenny 😊
We'll three Tim Holtz set looks fab! shrsl.com/4o8b6
@@Chrissieannie I am a lucky camper, our local craft store has one, guess I’ll be picking that up in the next few days. Jenny

The moon looks fabulous, what another wonderful creation, just right for your journal. You are ever so talented Chris thank you for all the inspiration 😘
Thank you so much!😊😊😊
I’ve just started watching her as she does mixed media. The moon is great! It works well on the tag.
Thanks Siobhan😊😊😊
Avery nice tag it is
Many thanks😊
Christine-I was so excited to see what you were working on today. I have to make some Halloween ATC’s for an exchange & I was wondering how to do the background for my little scene. Your background today is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!
Wonderful!
Pretty tag
Thanks😊
You continue to amaze me. This is very effective and one of these days I'm going to try creating some more of the wonderful things you show us.
Wonderful! Please do !😊
What an interesting process to watch, and a wonderful result. Your workshop sounds like it was great fun!
It was super😊😊😊
What an amazing tag. I love how you created the moon. Brilliant. I’d love to see how you tackle a sunset. I’m sure it would be just as amazing. It works so well as a tag. Simply stunning. - Dawn 🌅🧡🧡🧡🧡
Oh thank you!
Your mom looks great!! TFS 🙏🌸😎
Thanks so much
I have chuckled several times during the video. I would have stopped a number of times and thought it was finished. But love the added elements you put in. Lesson for me. Keep going . Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!😊😊😊
I agree with the other comments: it looks wonderful! (Especially the moon! First time?? Think of how you will improve! I certainly doubt mine would have looked as artistic as yours first time through). And, you are too hard on yourself at times; set it aside and look at it with fresh eyes. Even then, if you aren’t fully satisfied, think of all you learned (says the pupil to the teacher, lol!).
Oh thank you!
Her name is Allison Bomber. Her channel is words and pictures. She is brilliant. I never miss her videos. She specializes in multi media.
😊
I watched the same lady make these tags (I can't remember her name either - sad on me) she is very talented. Very good job on your first moon! I have both the oxide & distress inks too. I prefer the distress - artist in me likes the vivid, show through of the colors and how they react with water. I would have masked the moon and done some water sprinkles before stamping the foreground for character, just me :) Great job for your first go-round. Thanks
I forgot about water sprinkles ! Good fun !
I like how u use what you have,,and your use of masks too. Always enjoy your including stories like the teeth marks…Fox ?.
Thanks for listening🦊
I think you did it!
Very many thanks😊😊😊
A very talented French artist/crafter shows you how to make a gorgeous moon stencil from nothing other than a pencil; scissors and a circle of 'acetate' type film (am not sure of the technical term). The resulting stencil is beautiful, and all her artwork is absolutely gorgeous. The video is entitled "Happy Halloween" and the lady's name is Micheline Jourdain.
She is a very talented watercolorist! I'll try to take a look at that specific video! Thanks
Such a funny thing the fox did. Must have thought it was a game. We live in Australia in the country and see foxes but they don't get that close. One did frighten our cat once. The cat didn't move from the bed for about a day. Lol.
The tag looks great. Really lovely ❤
I often see one in the garden !
I think the moon is great!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Many thanks😊😊😊
❤
😊
Quite pleased? You should love it. I do ❤
Thank you, using that larger stencil could have been a disaster, but I didn't think it was too bad, so I was pleased!😊😊🤣🤣🤣
I think you are far too critical of yourself. Tomorrow you will look at it with fresh eyes and marvel at what you've achieved. It's beautiful! 🩷
Very many thanks😊😊😊
