Whoa! So many movies in one place. That is a really nice and also, big house. OH! I love the movie All of Me! lol (olive me) he he,,,,Love it! Thanks ! and nice editing👌
@@gregsvlogshow it was there, but it was not in condition for the movie, the movie production brought the dilapidated bowling alley back to its former glory! I have toured the mansion on more than one occasion and I remember the ranger stating that the movie production was a great help to the bowling alley.
We would love to see you tour the inside if you are able to do so someday. It is cool to see how the grounds and mansion were used in so many different films and shows. I can see why. This place looks like a fantastic setting for filming. Thanks for introducing us to the most filmed mansion in cinema history!
Yes most definitely have seen this mansion before!! I paused it and read all the names, wow so many good ones filmed here!! It kinda looks like Heffners house, lol! Great tour, I bet this was fun to go to!
Filming locations are my favorite. You did a great job. Really liked the title and sound effects. And that mew J Cut with the audio was cool. Big Lebowski is a classic and I liked how explained what to focus on before the movie cut. Still adjusting tweaking my format for filming locations. Didn’t realize this place was filmed so much. Ok I might have to come here since Rush Hour was filmed here. Another great video as always.
Thanks so much! I had to look up "J cut"😆 I've hear of it, I just had to remind myself. Yeah so many movies where filmed there Thanks for noticing the editing. I actually take pride in editing and love to do it. I'm a weirdo.
After 35 years of watching Stripes I just realized they filmed the Germany scenes there. I just went to a wedding at the Mansion a couple of weeks ago. Even snuck inside for a self tour lol.
i think Zombie land cudda been filmed there too. not sure which one, d original or sequel. the balcony looks familiar. the part where they accidentally shot Bill Murray and threw him over the ledge 😂😂😂😂
Like fellow Canyonites Terry Melcher and Gram Parsons, Doheny was viewed by many as a pampered ‘trust-fund kid.’ His closest circle of friends included country-rockers Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther and Glen Frey. In addition to recording his own solo albums (his self-titled debut was released in 1973), Doheny contributed to albums by such Laurel Canyon superstars as Frey, Browne, Don Henley, Linda Ronstadt and Graham Nash. Strangely enough, New York City once had a large estate known as Greystone as well. That Greystone was donated to the city as parkland, and it thereafter became known as Untermyer Park-the same Untermyer Park identified by Maury Terry as one of the two principal ritual sites used by the Process faction behind the ‘Son of Sam’ murders. The other site used by the cult was Van Cortlandt Park, named for Jacobus Van Cortlandt, a former Mayor of New York and one of David Van Cortlandt Crosby’s forefathers. Another of Crosby’s forefathers lent his name to Schuyler Road, which happens to run along the western boundary of the Greystone estate in the Hollywood Hills.

I think that is paranoid of you..Graystone is NOT closed to the public. Weddings have taken place there. I was in a film that filmed there some years ago. What IS closed to the public (unless you rent it for about 3k which is pricey 4 most of us) are the inside rooms..for good reason. People can litter, break things..and often do. Do I wish all of it were open? Yes. But I understand why it is not.

So glad this splendid home has been preserved and not demolished like so many other great estates.

1:55 The bowling alley is original to the mansion and not built for the movie.
According to my research the room has always been there but the actual bowling alley was not. Thanks for watching
