This car is an icon in Africa, its a status symbol , land rover, audi ,vwz , benz bmws are all looked upon as vehicles of young men and they don't command that much respect like a v8 lancruiser would do , to me it even looks better because of its commanding posture, with it reliability rating and all round utility features , I will buy will it all day over its European and American rivals , this car is 100% value for my money.
@ 4:37, you’re 50% wrong. No air suspension, but there is a fancy system present. The vehicle you’re reviewing does have fancy suspension, AHC in fact. I observed the adjustable suspension switch at 3:39 (4 buttons up from the bottom). Euro models came with this, similar to the LX570.
This is the Lionel Messi of SUVs. It is unquestionably the best vehicle ever made. That’s not dramatic exaggeration. It’s an iconic legend, that will go for 300,000 miles with minimum maintenance. There is no other car on the planet that even comes close to a 200 series Land Cruiser.
I own a 2013 Sequoia, it's basically a spiffed up 8 seat capable Tundra with a nicer cabin. It's a great truck. We test drove a Landcruiser and Lexus here in the states but that back seat leaves a lot to be desired. Meanwhile our Sequoia offers a little more room and a proper electric fold down at the cost of some of the premium features. But one wouldn't find themselves too lost. Slotted just below the Landcruiser the options and capabilities is impressive. Ours has that 5.7 v8. Amazingly powerful. I love my Toyota. My biggest complaint and drawback is MPG. These things are thirsty. But to me it's a small price to pay for reliability. I wouldn't call it as nearly capable off road but mine does have skidplates and I didn't find myself remotely close to stuck. These things are not cheap but the exchange is very fair. Especially considering the capabilities and the competition..
The 'Regular' LandCruiser is only a badge of the LC as this smaller 4cyl Prado is a completely different 4WD and as different as L/R Discovery is to a Rangie Vogue
Exactly what I was going to comment! Range Rover he compares this too does have more tech and is more luxurious of course but this thing is still very loaded with options. Even has cooled seats!

Yes there is.. it' 100 series land cruiser 4,2 😂
Patrols and G wagons are very similar, and better in some ways.
Starship Enterprise
As always fantastic review by an expert.
Appreciate that!
One thing is that you said the regular 3.0 Land Cruiser is a 6 cylinder but it is a 4 cylinder.
Not 4.2, but 4.5 litre V8 twin turbo
There is also a button to do a regen of the DPF

@10:50 “fancy Xenon headlamps”
Then proceeds to give you a front-view shot of the projector headlights with Xenon HID lightbulbs inside. 😂

Tell you what its not the prettiest car but its reliability blows my mind in africa its still a very expensive car
I would proudly say it's the best value for money car......$$$
Do you have a review of a Y61 Nissan Patrol?
We don’t have a video but we have written a review - www.rac.co.uk/drive/car-reviews/nissan/patrol/patrol-gr-series-1998-2009/
It’s 4.5 V8 diesel not 4.2
Putting an X6 there was very intentional 😂😂😂
4.2 or 4.5?
4.5
