      @@straybullitt I know in Missouri, tow trucks there can run red/blue when called upon as they are considered emergency responders to remove wrecks quickly, and I think Washington St now allows for that too if not mistaken. I know this as I watch Ron Pratt of Midwest Trucks who does a lot of towing among other jobs as requested and he can run red/blue lights.

      @@straybullitt Yep, exactly. That is why I mention Missouri and here as in MO, you can run red/blues, but here, I'm not 100% certain if you can, or it was talked about and can't recall exactly, but it will be different wherever you live.

    Excellent truck, I can understand the rental company people say they know what they doing, only need a bit of oil in the cylinder even if it's not enough to cause lock up may be enough to bend something, all the best to yous and your loved ones

That is a natural talent you have honed over years of working with recoveries and equipment. Ben got the deal for real and yeah wish you could have jumped on that one.     There are enough videos of wrecker drivers flipping vehicles onto their wheels only to have them roll down another hill and cause more damage. Nice controlled Recovery by a Professional.

    For a 1988 truck it’s in remarkably great shape, I would say that was a great purchase, sorry Casey your time will come when it makes sense to buy another one but until then you should really enjoy your new to you TJ6 because that’s also a great purchase plus a lot of fun.

    Another recovery well done and well explained. You don’t need to have all the equipment when you have friends like Ben that have it. A couple videos back you needed a 5 ton wrecker. I think an Earthcruiser wrecker would be just right, Clifford is already the right color. Nice to see Alex again.

    Hey Alex, Hey Ben, Good to see you. Alex, I was in the SeaBees, NMCB62, Equipment Operator. What did they call Equipment Operators in the Marines? I didn't remember them having construction battalions in the Corps but it was a LOOOONG time ago when I served. 1974-80. Semper Fi Brother.

      Likely he, like me is awaiting for approval from insurance. I have the referral in, but they are awaiting from insurance then I'll hear from the surgeon's office to get my hernia scheduled in.

    I used to run pure hydraulic actuated mini diggers, you could self right them on the starter motor and the levers. Not so easy on these electronic command diggers, which is a shame.
    Anyway, that wrecker has your name written all over it, gorgeous.

    Casey I definitely believe you threw the box away a long time ago and that is a great thing in my opinion.
    This video is a prime example of thinking outside of the box and being creative that was flawless in everyway the easiest one I have seen when it comes to putting a vehicle or equipment back on there wheels.

    Great roll over teaching moment Video. I've seen a few roll overs go from side, Upright and then over again and sometimes, back down the hill. Great looking Med Duty Tow truck, twin line booms, such fun.

    Good recovery. Not sure why not lower the boom? The pressure in the hydro line is keeping it up but unsafe to leave it up in air.

      Because it's not my excavator and that's not what they hired me to do. They hired me to stand it up so that their mechanic can go through it. There is nothing unsafe about the boom being up when it's sitting on a remote private property with no one around.

    Sweet rig. I still regret selling my (bought new) 2003 F250SD 4x4, 7.3, 6-speed manual. Great truck, sold it to buy a Raptor. The Raptor was sold when Premium went over $4 a gallon. Now driving a new Ranger. Those older 7.3 trucks have character, great find for your friend.

    Using the angles for leverage, kinetic rope for cushion, jeep on soft dirt where it can be moved without damage, keeping the boom supported.
    If you're not careful people will start to think you actually are good at this.

    Interesting, informative & great engineering insight displayed. Your buddies new vehicle performed to the hilt & your jeep with a back up rope, to gently lower so it didn't bang, shows you had paid dues and knew what you were doing. The kinetic rope is nice (I have some), a Yankum & another brand, along with straps & other gear displayed. Just as back up, when in the backcountry. I'll have to come to Bend OR and see first hand, the "smooth operator" & his art of recovery, which he knows so well.

    That was a heck of a cool save! And boy this truck is awesome. So old, clean as a wistle and with the big IDI. You have to be yealous but Ben will save it for you.
