    Yeah I know, the audio sucks. This is what happens when I try to use a real camera and expensive microphone. But don’t worry, I’ll go back to just using a GoPro with a cheap $20 mic slapped on top.

    There was a fella in Richmond Virginia that had a gas station in an area called Church Hill. He got tire of getting robbed so he started open carrying a pistol and started posting his range targets which were human shaped with the date on them. You could follow his improvement in aim. He never got robbed again.

    • @williameddy1662
      @williameddy1662 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Palmore-----There is NO proof that " open carry" or " concealed carry " have any effect on the crime rate . If you actually look at murder rates in Virginia for a 45 year period (1974-
      2020 ) , and compare to other states during that same time , you will see that .
      When the population ages , the murder rate goes down .There isn`t so much testosterone running through their bodies.
      When medical care , especially trauma care , improves , the actual deaths from trauma ( shooting , stabbings , beatings , ) go down .
      The farther you get away from a war ( WW # 2, Korea , Vietnam ) the fewer guys are really " comfortable " with guns , and killings .
      As society gets more urbanized , the fewer young boys grow up , getting all that " plinking " experience , that helps to improve their aim .

      unpunished ?

    • @Rat-Builder
      @Rat-Builder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@williameddy1662 I live in Idaho. Yes we do have fewer crimes than Oregon. That is another point, Portland and the central valley are where the majority of the murders happen. The rest of the state HATES Portland and Salem and Eugene.
      I was born in that state 75 years ago, and have spent many years living there. Portland ALWAYS looked like a third world country to me. I would never ever live in that city, even if you gave me a beautiful house.
      Lowlifes shoplift whatever they want, and if by some miracle they do get arrested, the DA releases them on their own OR. Those small crimes develop into bigger crimes. There are chain drug stores in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco the have closed up due to unsafe conditions. All of these Democrat governed cities are cess-pools.
      Out of the 10 most fiscally responsible states, 9 are Republican governed. Out of the 10 most bankrupt states, 9 are Democrat governed. It is not hard to find this information, (if you even want to know), and you will never hear this sort of information from the likes of Chicken Noodle News.

    • @williameddy1662
      @williameddy1662 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rat-Builder Anyone can cherry pick information . I haven`t checked out your fiscal responsibility data enough to say much , because we started out talking about crime,
      although I will try to look into it . However , I did check some other stuff .
      murder rates -Oregon 2.9 (2020 ) murders per 100,000 people per year
      -Idaho 2.2 (2020 ) murders per 100,000 people per year You are a little bit better , but , not enough to brag about it .
      life expectancy -Oregon --79.3 years
      -Idaho- 79.1 years You lose by a hair .
      high school education -Oregon - 91.3 % of the population
      -Idaho-- 91.4 % of the population You win by 1/10 of 1 %
      College degree----- -Oregon --34.5 % of the population
      - Idaho -- 26.7 % of the population You lose by a significant margin .
      fiscal stability - Oregon--# 13 of the 50 states
      Idaho- #4 of 50 states
      None of this indicates that anyone from Idaho should disparage anyone from Oregon .

    • @Rat-Builder
      @Rat-Builder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@williameddy1662 I use to love Oregon, but everything that I use to love about it is gone. That is my personal feeling. I love Idaho. I also love Nevada. I have lived in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, California, and now Idaho. I like Idaho because we have the things that I like here in abundance. I am 75 years old, and I still ride my one of my 2 dirt bikes. I also ride my quads all over this state, and in Nevada.
      I lived in Oregon for the first 27 years of my life. I moved out because of personal reasons to Washington. I was only there for 5 years, because I hated all of the rain. I moved to Nevada because Mt St Helens blew up and destroyed the forests that I worked in every day. I moved to Nevada because I wanted to get out of the rain forest. I had to move to California because I threatened to kill the head of HR where I worked, and he had poisoned my prospects for future employment there. I do NOT regret that though, as in the end I got my dream job. I moved to Idaho because of personal reasons.
      We started commenting about people not getting punished for doing against the law stuff. In Portland ANTIFA and BLM torched buildings while being videoed do so, and they received no punishment. Thieves would boast to store owners that if they were arrested for stealing from them, and if it was below a certain amount, they would be released from jail. The same for Seattle and San Francisco. When I lived in So Cal, I did not see things like this happen, although they most likely did. In my state if you do something illegal the police will come to get you and throw you in Jail. We don't have people sleeping on the sidewalk here, of crapping in the street. Northern Nevada either. Lost Wages is a lost cause, and is hated along with Reno by the rest of the state, sort of like how most of Oregon hates Portland and Eugene, and Salem.
      How would you feel if you owned a store and a thief stole from you with immunity? I know that I would not like it.
      I know that you did not ask for this dissertation of my life, but, this is TH-cam, you will get what you give. I will say though that you have not resorted to calling me names and such, and have been polite with your return comments. I just do not think that I will sway you in your thoughts, just as you will not sway me with my thoughts.
      These are just MY reasons for my comments. I really do hope that you have a good day. It is hot here today, so I am playing on the computer under the A/C.

      Tony Dowd----Imagine how much Portland " suffered" when your daughter left . Now , how long did it take her employer to replace her when she left , since you , and apparently her ,
      consider it such a shithole ? The riots in Portland were largely about better treatment for minorities . Is she opposed to better treatment for minorities , or , is that just your
      thing ? Why exactly were all those right wing hate groups such as the Proud Boys , 3 Per Centers , and Oath keepers traveling to Portland to fight with ANTIFA ? After all ,
      ANTIFA is an anti fascist group ? Does that mean that all those " patriot" groups are pro fascist ?

    That shop does great work, the truck looks better than new and ready for a truck show. I know from experience the long wheel base makes it much harder to maneuver in tight places. But I'm sure Ben knows that and can handle whatever situation he gets into. Ben's yard looks empty compared to a few months ago. He must have found homes for a lot of his trucks. Nice new 1988 truck and you could tell he was quite excited to finally get to take it home. He's probably already got a trip lined up to fill it with a new batch of Internationals.

When they tried to pressure me I told the examiner that I would guarantee that I could fail any test they wanted to give/ force me. :D They quit trying.) Any way, The truck looks great, Ben's like a proud Papa with a new baby. Look forward to more. Give Riley a hug for me. :D and God Bless

    Very generous of you to reach out and assist your friend, and put 500 miles driving, into the effort. Nice to see glorious Mt. Hood free of clouds for an instance, & I"m happy your friend found a rig to his liking, that meets his interests & needs.

    It’s also easier to check the hub oil without the caps really don’t want them to lock up but it does make them look good

    Wow! That is one awsome! Gorgeus piece of hardware 😍. Trucks like this from the 80's is a core part of my view of America. As a kid watching the movie with "Rubber Duck" driving one of these here in Sweden, i fell in love with them. One of the few marvels to me, coiming out of the U.S, exept for BB Iowa class Battlehips, thouse thing just looks amazingly beautyfull and one of the only reason i would go back for a visit to the states.

    Ben now has two beautiful rigs, truck and trailer. Super sharp paint job and great colors. Personally I'm more of a KW man myself however, Peterbilt seems to be Ben's choice. Being an older Peterbilt will have it's advantages for sure. The newer reburn of the diesel engines is less than a joy to run. We even had one in the bay at the shop and it set the foam insulation on the door on fire 🔥... Most people do prefer the older regen systems.
    To both you and Ben have a wonderful day and be safe. Oh, great video there young man.
