Drove a 3100 1951 blue 3 speed with wooden blocks on the clutch pedal because i was too short ! Mind you I was 7 years old ! Good old days on the farm south of Montréal. Thanks good job and good video.
Hi Isaac, as I understand it, you would let your passenger out, lock the truck. then, upon arrival back to the truck, you unlock the passenger side to let your passenger in, and ideally they would unlock the driver's side from the inside for you. Thank you for your question. Rich.
I've notice If you watch the old 50's show like Andy Griffith show or leave it to beaver the driver always got in on the passenger side and would slide across to driver side.
I was on Google street view in the hills of Hollywood when I saw a straight but original 54 Chevy truck, I out of curiosity moved the date the picture was taken and the range was 2009 to 2017 and to my amazement the truck is in every time nearly the same spot over a 7-8 yr span, the truck is parked by a gate of a very nice home, I just wondered if its original of has a LS 2 or something newer with AC etc or a bone stocker?
@@mattberg916 I have a '48 like this unrestored, Dad bought it new. White walls were for high-end cars or pimped out common cars. Look around the internet for vintage photos, you will not find these trucks sporting those tires back in the day.
That heater switch is real nice for winter
Gotta be one of the BEST restorations of the Chevy 3100 truck. Just beautiful and detailed.
Love these older Chevy trucks. So durable and functional. Fun to drive and what a showpiece
WOW!!! Beautiful Chevrolet truck. It doesn't get any better than this.

That's awesome! Back when we didn't worry so much about the small things! Thank you for your comment. Rich

Just like an assisted opener Kershaw OSS. O SO SWEET. Thanks for the video.
Gorgeous!
Thank you Mel, wish I had a dozen of them. Rich
The just right farm truck. Green is very becoming.
I wish I had a dozen of these trucks. I agree, the green really works on this generation of Chevy. Rich
I liked the truck and also the photographer in the reflection of the paint job. Lol. Nice ride man. I have a 1952 Chevy.
Yeah! The photographer should be in front of the camera, she's better lookin'. Thank you for your comment. Rich
Hey do you run ethanol free gas in your truck? I haven’t been til yesterday and I hope it helps it run better.
I still have the manual for my Grandpa's 1951 3100... there was no chrome except for the hubcaps, because of the Korean war!
Super nice, love the nice, great looking nice, green nice, truck nice!
Thank you for the nice comment:) Rich
Thank you! Rich
I think alot of the pickups from that era had the 3 on tree transmission. 4 on the floor in the bigger trucks.
Vinieron para quedarse es una jolla
Yes, I I run clear premium (non ethanol) in everything.

LS2 in one of these would be nice! Thanks for the comment. Rich
what ya think 32,000 ?
Might be a good asking price, perhaps a little high. These particular trucks have become more and more popular.
Can you do better than nice?
Sure...Very nice
Nice!!??
Great video beautiful truck . I just hot a 56 chevy. Hope I can get it clean as this one . How much it sold for ? Thanks God bless.
Thank you Train, I have a '56 Chevy truck myself, great trucks! Keep on it. Rich
Motor starts up,... knack knack knack knack.
Stove bolt 6, what you're hearing is "Sold, Sold, Sold, Sold"! thanks for the comment. Rich
Kd Grayson splash lube motors do that, and if the valve lash is off itll tap away all day too
@@Texassince1836 I've had my '48 Stovebolt for over 50 years, I'd be embarrassed to have my tappets that sloppy and I am a woman.
Valves need adjusting and the white walls look stupid, other than that, nice truck.
Thank you for that compliment. R
Pretty sure the white walls were original. I have one just like this unrestored

They never put white walls on those trucks they were considered work vehicles
motor a bit noisy.
Valves need adjusting.
