If your truck came with a 6 clinder or a 283 block engine they did have power But it was possible to drop a 306 V8 and modify it You may have more power than you think Get out on a interstate and see how it unwinds
Nice truck, and glad that the person who restored it swapped out the ring & pinion to 338s (for better highway speed driving), and more importantly, junked the rudimentary 216 in favor of the 235. Sounds like they may have even gone with hydraulic lifters because that 235 sounds too quiet to have the ordinary solid mechanical lifters that normally came in truck engines.
In 1970 I had a uncle who owned a 1949 c100 and was asking $150 for it I told him to hold it till I raked the money I told my dad and before I could buy it he sold it Uncle Fred never gave me a chance After that I owned a 1957 Chevy Down through the years I always wanted to find one I could have for keeps
i woud love to buy one and just turn it into classic hot rod vintage pickup truck with v8 blower atleast 400HP with manual transmission and handbrake with white tires after all with good taste too :D
Reason alone why I'd move from the UK to the USA in a heartbeat to drive around in one of these beautiful pickups.
+drnh4444 I think you'd love it! Come on over :)
I upgraded my 1950 Chevy pickup with a 6.0/4L60, 12 bolt rearend with 373’s and now I love it even more I cruise at 80 all day long she loves it

I have the exact same pickup but mine has a new heart a 6.0/4L60E swap and I love it!!!!!!
Old cars roar even in slower speeds unlike the modern cars.
I don't know about all that, but I feel if I don't find a 1964 Chevy Impala SS soon, I'm gonna bust a spring I'm already off balance.
If I won the lottery. I definitely buy this!
great truck model ! Love the front window !
thanks .... love the old trucks
I wonder why so minimal views, likes and comments for classic cars.

Your flag is not hung properly, stars should be in the upper left when hung on the wall as such..
Yes, I know. This is a very old video and we've long since corrected it. (see any of our more recent videos). Thanks!
